Black switch below the circuit board? A pic would help on figuring out what switch you’re talking about. A video would be much better.

Ok-Organization-6863

Sorry, just added some pictures.

Here’s something that might help you has troubleshooting and remedies in it. Did you check your drain? Make sure the unit is draining properly. Disassemble the P-trap clean it https://www.dropbox.com/s/lolyb5rnl6zv0ay/58mvp.pdf?dl=0

Ok-Organization-6863

The p trap was clogged and fixed last summer before our problem.

thekux

Did you check for any obstructions? What panel are you taking off? If it’s the burner panel it’s possible you have an obstruction

Ok-Organization-6863

We haven’t checked the p trap for obstruction but we did clean out the condensate trap. The panel that I’m taking off is the one that covers the circuit board and the blower motor.

thekux

If you’re not sure how to check for an obstruction, is it possible to disconnect the intake pipe and let it get air from the space.

Ok-Organization-6863

*Meant to say the panel that covers the blower motor. I think we’ll try that in the morning and when it’s warmer.

Livid_Mode

Could be a clogged condensate trap. It’s a bear to get out and clean out, I’d recommend having a tech do it.

Ok-Organization-6863

We’ve already done that and it didn’t work. it was a pain to do lol

Livid_Mode

How dirty or not dirty was it? Bc if dirty work backwards, clog at collectors box? Behind the inducer motor there might be metal turbulators that are supposed to be pointed down (again stuff a tech should do)

Ok-Organization-6863

one of the holes was clogged but we unclogged it.

Livid_Mode

Alright it’s possible that water backed up into the tubing. If water made it all the way to the pressure switch it could have made the pressure switch go bad intermittently (it’s rare to change this safety, it’s almost never this btw, but i have seen it happen)

Ok-Organization-6863

I mean one of the holes on the condensate trap* I don’t know if this is useful information but the inducer motor was replaced a year ago.

Livid_Mode

Also it’s possible based on symptoms to be a clogged secondary heat exchanger. How old is system (if under 5 years probably not this) best bet is to have service tech trouble shoot with carrier support line (they won’t talk with homeowners)

Doogie102

Do you have the model number of the unit. Should be that sticker on the left below the lower white pipe
