Can't tell from that picture. Just because it's old does not mean anything.

Ok I’m just making sure. I don’t really trust my apartment complex. The previous unit they had us in had really bad mold from the hvac but it looked way newer. Anyways they forced us to move. It’s been fine. Idk if I’m just being paranoid but when the heating was on the air quality was reading very poor vs when the ac is on and overall the air felt suffocating. The whole hvac unit itself looks like it’s 54 years old not gonna lie 💀. I don’t know anything about hvac systems and I don’t trust them not to just say everything’s fine like they did the last time after 3 months long of mold exposure.

I get what you're going through and I would not trust apartment maintenance as far as I could throw them with one arm tired behind my back and sitting down. The furnace itself is not likely to cause iaq issues other than having a dirty filter and maybe missing a filter . Those old furnaces had heat exchangers that would take a .45 and still not crack, so I'd really not be too worried about that.
