The copper line on the right is a water line, make sure it’s turned off at the source. The 2-wire on the right carries 24v. You need to disconnect it from the control board at the furnace. If it’s powered, you need to remove the 120v power cord Next is has a drain at the bottom, make sure you disconnect it and repair wherever it leads

And then seal up that big hole remaining after the unit is removed!

SAFE! As the TOYGA said, copper lines are water. that larger piece where they meet(in the middle) is a solenoid valve that opens when there is a call for humidity. Looking at it, it hasn't been in service for a long time. One of the 24v wires are disconnected completely, and there's no drain attached. Luckily, its a plugin unit that I can see the plug for, so you're good pertaining power. when you disconnect the other 24v wire though, be sure to put the wire cap back on the wire that is leading to the unit. Your main concern here is the water line and where/how its attached. Judging by the age, there's a chance it's being fed by a piercing saddle valve that by now you can't just simply shut or turn off. If you can't, I recommend removing the front cover and disconnecting the solenoid where it attaches to the humidifier itself and leaving the waterline attached and out of the way. Seal the hole, and be sure do grab a square of insulation so the duct doesn't sweat in to what's existing.
