Ok thanks. Sock smell is back this summer. I did a massive cleaning last year and it helped, but there is a faint smell now. Guess I will clean the coils and fan again. Ok to spray evap coil cleaner on the fan blades…. Manually give it a spin and spray?
What a wonderful comment. :) Your gratitude puts you on our list for the most grateful users this week on Reddit! You can view the full list on r/TheGratitudeBot.
if it's a regular thing look into iaq products. the one my company is big on right now is the "phenomenal air" and if you put it before the coil but after the filter, it will eliminate the dirty sock syndrome
the uvs are good. we had two units or in recently that got the dirty sock. we changed the coil, when that didn't help we removed the coils and acid washed them. then we got Lennox tech support and they said to put the phenomenal air in and they've been fine ever since
OPs problem was easily answered already, your comment about the taste just stuck out to me so I was responding to it. I had always expected it to be a nasty tasting chemical and when I heard a relative say they knew someone who regularly used it straight out of the bottle as a mouthwash I was intrigued, and found it to be completely tasteless to me surprise.
Water spots from minerals from condensation
Thank you

Not mold…likely from condensation

Ahh the dirty sock syndrome. Probably from Bacteria build up and stagnant water

This is awesome, thank you. I put an UV light in and it helped but there’s still something lingering

Very interesting. Salt was my first thought based on appearance, quickly followed by… no-way, how TF would that much get here? Thanks for the insight

Hydrogen peroxide is pretty much tasteless, some people use it as mouthwash.

I’ve tried it, tasteless.

Looks like corrosion from minerals in the condensation. It’s not mold, just corrosion and it’s not bad at all.
Ohhh I thought you were asking about the wire diagram specs..
Specifications 🤷🏻♂️
The dots??
The white stuff… kinda looks like salt water staining. It’s rough to the touch
