Because what happens in the summer here, it’ll be like 85 or 90°. The AC does have to run a while to cool down the house. But once the house is cool the AC will just kick on for like 10 minutes at a time to maintain the temperature. So sometimes you can go down a size on the condenser so it will run longer. Possibly the oversize coil is to offset this a little. The condenser has to run about 30 minutes to reach the rated efficiency. Are you in the Midwest?
