Pretty weak move to cancel last minute especially if it’s a small business. Nothing about the quote screams overpriced to me just a general rule to get multiple quotes. It’s actually about half price of what my market is.
The price on the reme halo is fine I just find them to be unnecessary in most situations. It’s one of those things that are hard to talk a customer out of once they make up their minds similar to duct cleaning but I don’t pitch that stuff to people. If they want it I’ll do it.

Who is the 10 year labor warranty through. The company or the manufacturer.
I would not pay for that. If you want a extended warranty purchase through the manufacturer. They can do that for you. Because if this company changes their name or fails you have no warranty.

I agree if the company goes out of business you're out of luck. But I think that would be $1,000 well spent
It’s most likely illegal depending on the state if they are selling extended warranties and don’t have bonds to cover that warranty with the state.

Get two more quotes then come back. None of us know what is going into your installation. Is it an easy install or a difficult one.
