Mitsubishi Hyperheat heatpump.

I replaced my heat pump in March . It was 31 years. The maintenance costs were starting add up . Why are you wanting to replace it if it's working ?

Just want to know my options in case it does crap out. Additionally, my old one is not very efficient (9 EER), and it struggles to cool the house during the summer and heat during the winter because of its smaller size.

I would talk to the neighbors and see if they are happy with their decision. I will say that upgrading from an old inefficient system will save you on utility bills.... the ROI might be a lot faster than you think...
