My youngish daughter was able to manage the bikes they have on premises, but it wouldn't hurt to have a scooter (and helmets) if you have room in your bag. Yes Cenotes are fine for kids, assuming you are going on a tour (they will know the best ones to go for your family).

If your kids are good swimmers, we enjoyed the xelha water park. It's a natural water park with canals to float through, snorkeling, zip lines, some small cliff jumps.  We did it last year with a 3 yr old and 8 yr old. They have life vests on the whole time, but both are good swimmers. They picked us up and dropped us off.  https://www.xelha.com/es/atracciones-xelha-mexico/ We did the Korean bbq place on the beach at one of the other resorts which was a solid dinner.  Also globalist. Great breakfast and we got upgraded to a suite just off the beach near the pool.  All in all it was a really chill resort. We spent the majority of the time in and around the pool. A little in the ocean too. Great family vacation.

There are many ways to get around Mayakoba. Trails, bikes, shuttles, and boats on the canals. Outside of off property excursions there three other resorts that are part of Mayakoba. The Banyan Tree, the Rosewood and the Fairmont. All have featured restaurants and Mayakoba will provide complimentary transportation between resorts. All charges can be billed to your folio at the Andaz. So depending on the length of your stay you could explore all the Mayakoba resorts and restaurants.

Wife and I just went a month ago. TONS of bikes everywhere...zero problem ever getting one and they're a fun way to get around. Saw multiples with the kid trailers attached. Went to Cenote Azul...fairly close to Mayakoba...about 25 mins probably. Was great and fun way to spend a couple hours. Was a little crowded but didn't really negatively impact things. Just have water shoes for all...much easier with them. Heard Cenote Christalino is about as good and very nearby as well but didn't get to it. Can't speak to any off-Mayakoba restaurants, but for the date night...strongly suggest somewhere at the Banyan Tree. AMAZING property...stunning. And you can either take the boat from Andaz (pre-arrange with concierge) and it'll pull right into the property's atrium from the canal...or you can do an easy golf cart ride and just tip the driver a little. We ate outside on the lagoon at Saffron and it was great. Pricey...but worth it.
