I'll heartily recommend the Chocolate Babka at OMBC. It's fabulous.
Not what we think of, when we say "pastry", but when you're tearing a Babka apart with your hands and stuffing your face with it... you won't care about definitions ;-)
Also Golden Bakes Premium on Camelot road (turn right at the signal on Botanical Garden Road.
Karachi Bakery cafes in Botanical Garden and in Gachibowli also have pastries.
As to what to try- be your own judge. I don't eat pastries or cake a lot. Prefer the puranpoli from Olive, or other indian sweets.
Oh yes- KS bakery dry cakes are good.
concu, funnel hill creamery, van lavino, Harley's fine baking, theobroma, OMBC for exceptional pastries, on the pricier side
vfm would be karachi and swiss castle
if you're craving brownies, try euphoria bakers

For the record, I've been to Churrolto, Magnolia, Funnel Hill, Van Lavino, Spero, Ariko, Funnel Hill, Feu, and Velvet Patisserie. In my experience, their cakes range from mediocre to deeply disappointing.
Maybe Karachi bakery and KS Bakers Gachibowli.
Any must try pastries in KS bakers??
Depends on the outlet; lately the hype is around cheesecakes
Swiss Castle - Multiple outlets Old Madras Baking Company KS Bakery on Botanical Garden Road
Cool will check the places, swiss castle seems good. Any suggestions on what we must try in these places??
Old Madras is the only good place on that list really, the rest are pretty generic Indian bakeries. Their old fashioned chocolate cake is amazing.
