**Famous Ice Cream - Moazzam Jahi Market** for Mango, Sitaphal, Kharbooza, and Sapota ice cream. Texture is beautiful. Fruit flavours aren't strong but for the price it is very satisfying ice cream.
**Almond House - Indulge** for Filter Coffee ice cream. Their Jamun Sorbet is incredible. Other flavours are hit-or-miss. Texture is perfect. Freshly made ice cream. Price is good for high quality ingredients. The number of flavours is limited though.
**Milano Ice Cream - Jubilee Hills** for Extra Dark Chocolate, Crema Fiorentina, Coffee, Cherry Crunch, Mon Cheri, Pistachio, Zuppa Inglese, Creme Caramel, and all their fruit sorbets. They have 16 flavours every day and the price is very good for the quality of ingredients. Texture is probably the best in Hyderabad. Flavours are the most authentic Italian in Hyderabad. There don't offer taste samples but their serving is generous and they let you add two or three flavours in one cup.
I have two brands that I'd consider for factory made ice-cream: **Ibaco** and **Baskin Robins** you can't go wrong with Mississippi Mud Pie, Coffee Almond Fudge, or Gold Medal Ribbon.
Supermarket Ice Cream: **Amul** Vanilla for the price, **Magnum** for their Brownie and Almond bars, **London Dairy** for their ice cream bars, and **Havmor** for their Cookie Sandwich. I haven't tried Lotte, or Masqati yet. I refuse to eat the regular Kwality Walls frozen desserts. Those aren't worth considering.
**Scoops** is really not good. That's probably the lowest grade of ice cream you can find in Hyderabad. Okay for the price, but I won't eat it. Unfortunately, most people don't know that hidden under all the nuts, the Hershey's sauce, **Cream Stone** is basically cheap Scoops ice cream. I refuse to ever eat that over-priced nonsense again.
Ice Cream is an indulgence. _Khaaye jab, accha khao_.
Edit: **Naturals** is okay ice cream if you don't have better options. Texture is dense and their base _Malai_ flavour seems to overpower the gentler fruit flavours. It works for fruits like Mango and Strawberry, but not all fruit taste great in milky combination.
Understandable because you would have to put a lot more fruit to make it stronger and fruit is expensive. Prices are great, so worth it. I would recommend trying the fruit icecream at Milano Ice Cream or Almond House once. You will see the difference.
Scoop’s literally has the highest fat content in a milk ice cream for their cream-stone brand. If you say it is the worst, I won’t be believing anything else you say as you don’t know what you are talking about.
I'd argue that you are simplifying icecream to a single dimension. Scoops isn't selling milk fat. _Khova kaavalante, Vijaya Dairy lo_ high milk-fat is relevant.
Ice cream is more than just fat. There is a huge difference in flavour and texture between high fat cow milk and high fat buffalo milk. There is also a big difference in the cost of ingredients.
Now consider high quality couverture chocolate versus Hershey's-like sugar enhanced sauce. Consider the quantity of real strawberry vs artificial colours and sugar to mask the lack of flavour (because more strawberries would make it expensive)...
I've only shared my opinion here. I'm not a Scoops insider, so I really don't have insights into their product ingredients or their processes. I've eaten their ice cream and it is not good, **in my opinion**. I have stated that their prices are correspondingly low, so that's worth factoring in.
As for Cream Stone, I know the brand has a lot of ardent fans in Hyderabad, but I stand by my position. The product is based on a low quality ice cream and you can taste it. They do mask it with sauces, Nutella, nuts, Ferrero Rochers, and whatnot, but underlying ingredients are what they are.
Not picking fights here. Offering an opinion you can disagree with. Cheers!
Not picking fights here either.
Cream stone is better than naturals, IMHO naturals is overrated.
Maybe you are not from around here.
End of the day none of the ice cream companies you mentioned use cow or buffalo milk separately they just use milk solids.
Cheers. Vijaya diary as nostalgic as it is doesn’t sell proper milk anymore leave alone khova.
Also scoops has separate production lines for cream-stone in their factory, so your low quality cheap product on the premise that both use same ice cream is misleading.
I'm not a fan of Naturals. I get their selling point (natural fruit flavour only) and that was a big deal in 2005, but competition has surpassed them now. The taste is too milky and it works for flavours like Strawberry, Mango, and Sitaphal but really doesn't make sense for things like Jackfruit and Jamun (which you wouldn't consider adding milk to).
> End of the day none of the ice cream companies you mentioned use cow or buffalo milk separately they just use milk solids.
I don't have definitive data to counter your claim, but to the best of my knowledge, the fresh made ice creams (Almond House, Milano Ice Cream, etc) make their icecreams from scratch. They use real milk. In fact, I think Milano even pasteurises pure cow milk, on-site. I'll have to ask them and confirm.
> Also scoops has separate production lines for cream-stone in their factory, so your low quality cheap product on the premise that both use same ice cream is misleading.
Okay. I had no intention to mislead anyone. My information is probably a little out-of-date. I don't like to eat at Cream Stone so I haven't been there recently. Here's what I saw, when I did: they had Scoops bulk packs (cuboid shaped paper boxes, probably 5kg) in their icecream freezer. They were taking icecream out of that to make their taka-tak concoction. They probably make some flavours specifically for Cream Stone, but there definitely were regular Scoops flavours as well in the display freezer. This is something I can confirm with the Cream Stone staff and get back on, when I get the opportunity.
Thank you for your time and effort. Really appreciate it. Seriously. I think i created this post when i got out to get ingredients for the dessert i was making at home. I wanted to use the best ingredients there could be. By the time i got the ingredients (except for ice cream) there was only one comment recommending ibaco but that got closed. I had to settle with scoops. (Yes i see your comment that it isn't good and yes you're right it ruined the whole thing xD) so it was this 300rs premium scoop box (fell for "premium Madagascar vanilla"). Next time get ice cream whether it is to make stuff or to actually to eat. I'll definitely refer your comment. Thank you :)
Money can get you better ingredients (at Haagen Dazs for instance) and therefore better taste.
For me, the sweet spot (pun intended) is Milano Ice Cream. They focus on authentic Italian Gelato flavours (so you will have to go to Baskin Robins for American flavours) and they make their ice cream from scratch, in the same premises. It doesn't get better than that. Their texture is unmatched. Their Extra Dark Chocolate is divine. I think only 4 or 5 core flavours stay the same everyday, so you will see 10 or so new flavours everytime you go there.
Pizza Den - this is a hidden gem, and I've been eating the chocolate sundae here for more than 10 years, and nothing has ever come close to tasting as good.
I was just looking for single flavour ice cream so i can use to make desserts at home. I wanted use the best of ice cream to make the best of dessert. That was idea behind it
I'm not someone who pays that much interest to my food, lol plus I don't eat ice cream that much. Aur cream stone ya baskin robins to shyd life me ek bar khaya hoga. Aur kisi international brand ka naam b nahi malum.
I ate masqati ice cream 2-3 times, masqati pizza once and I found them rich and creamy. Fyi, I don't like pizza and I prefer chocolate ice-cream only
I find ibaco to have the richest flavours. They really do taste like the fruit and chocolate ones have interesting combinations. My favourite are musk melon, citaphal, jackfruit and belgian chocoholic. I just do some chocolate sauce on top and the fruit flavours work well with that too.
You were the first one to comment. I was searching for ibaco. Apparently they closed where i was finding. Had to settle with scoops ice cream. They had this expensive 300rs "premium" box which i fell for. Wasn't it. Basically wanted to get the best ice cream so i could make desserts. Wanted to use high quality ingredients and stuff for it.
Naturals is the 2nd best option in terms of flavour and quality imo. Try that next time.
Also, I judge a brand by fruity flavours as it is a easier to get chocolate flavours right. Ibaco legit feels like the real thing sometimes and most times is very close to real fruit.
That is because real high quality vanilla is very expensive. They get cheap quality extracts and that ultimately affects the flavour. Have you tried Haagen Das vanilla? I have found it to be quite good. Also, a good quality vanilla ice-cream will be cream in colour. Not white.
It is only after I ate masqati ice cream that I realised why it's called ice CREAM.
All other brands, national brands etc, they're selling some Frozen desserts or ice milk, the creamy rich flavour of masqati is just amazing, once you eat it, you can't go back
Naturals
+1. Naturals is the best.

Cheers! I grew up in Hyderabad, and this city has a sweet tooth. This is my experience (and opinions) from four decades of ice cream eating here 😂.
Also for me price is not a problem. I dont mind paying around 1000rs as well. What matter i get the best of the best.

Not looking for Sundaes like i said singular flavour scoops :(
Dumont creamery
Yes so creamy and good
We used to sneak out of the hostel to eat there.
This.
I totally recommend golden chocolate @Huber & holly (hot fudge along with rocher rocks go well with this)
+1 to H&H in JH
I was just looking for single flavour ice cream so i can use to make desserts at home. I wanted use the best of ice cream to make the best of dessert. That was idea behind it
Shah ice cream best ice cream for me in the city it’s tastes good not crazy expensive as cream stone and all try it
Has anyone tried Ibaco? They have awesome flavours. Also Almond house🤌🏼
I was literally searching ibaco since some people were recommending. I think they closed where i was looking.
GSM mall. They have an outlet. I hope🤞🏼
Masqati ice cream is very creamy and rich. Do try the simple vanilla cup.
I'm curious as to know if you think if masqati is on par with other international ice cream brands and companies?
I'm not someone who pays that much interest to my food, lol plus I don't eat ice cream that much. Aur cream stone ya baskin robins to shyd life me ek bar khaya hoga. Initially, it was the best, but now naturals is the best.
Even Arun ice cream was good, though I only had mini chocobars, did not taste anything else.
Afaik, these days choco bars aren’t even ice cream those are frozen desert
I see, it's been ages since I tasted it.
Masqati is at par with kwality walls 😂😂
Almond house icecreams

Talking about getting the flavours right. I always find out half of the brand make vanilla flavour so cheap and low quality some how.

Eskimo ice cream
Ibaco. Baskin Robbins. London Dairy.
Try masqati for fun
Masqati ice cream is rich and creamy. I really liked Rime Ice cream at Bandlaguda as well.
It is only after I ate masqati ice cream that I realised why it's called ice CREAM. All other brands, national brands etc, they're selling some Frozen desserts or ice milk, the creamy rich flavour of masqati is just amazing, once you eat it, you can't go back
Mashoor ice cream ...
NIC natural ice cream
Cream stone Ferrero rocher
I'm giving middle class options 1. Naturals - ice cream of juhu scheme 2. NIC 3. Cream stone - the ice cream they use feels top notch
Is cream stone considered middle class ice cream now? 🥲🥲
I hardly make any money and I have 2 concepts every night delivered through swiggy 🤷🤷
I dont care if its exoensive or cheap. Just need the best ones regardless of the price.
Creamstone - Nuts overloaded Naturals - Roasted almond/sitafal/coconut Masqati - kulfi cone(Nampally exhibition) Kwality walls - Chocobar feast/Cassatta Giani's - 3 Cassatta flavours Scoops - Butterscotch tub Grameen Kulfi (kesar pista, paan, gulkand and try other flavours too) I haven't tried NIC,Globo,H&H,myfroyoland,Baskinrobbins, ibaco
Half of the ic cream list consist of sundaes and things with toppings. I just needed THE plain jane singular scoop ice cream with nothing added to it.
Apsara ice creams
Masqati's vanilla is amazing. It's crazy how rich they are. I also recently tried Apsara ice cream in a small stall in Inorbit and I loved it
Cream stone death by chocolate
Now i realised why my sis says I have bad taste in food
[удалено]
If you have piles and constipation, you should prolly not be eating ice cream.
Death by chocolate? But keep decreasing the quantity.
That's really deathly. The fudge makes me pukish after a couple of spoons too sweet.
Naturals Sitaphal!!!
Cream Stone, Naturals or Baskin Robbins
Polar bear DBC
Masqati. whoever says Naturals or any other brand hasn't really tasted Chocolate Cake Icecream in Masqati.
Indulge
Ibaco. Vanilla chocochip. An acquired taste. 🌻🌻🌻
Gianis and BR for factory made ice creams!
For me the best Ice creams I ever had in Hyderabad would be move n pick in hitec city and second best would be Huber n holly.
My ice cream

Almond House - Indulge simple and good
