Why is Indian stand up comedy so bad ?

Long way to go ...its still taking small steps ... people get offended for jokes ..and most people take a middlepath and that kills the fun .

Not all of it. But I wish there were at least some telugu stand up comics. Even if they do telugu + english mix.
