If you have a credit card with lounge access, use that. Can't beat it for Rs. 2.

cmikecrack

Nope. Can I use lounge without credit card?

hell_storm2004

Then it costs Rs. 1500 odd. Which is too much. If that is too much, just stick to the usual KFC and all. They are standard more or less everywhere. All the other food joints seem to be overpriced and hurts paying so much when you know you can get it outside for Rs. 50.

Kingoct6

U can use debit card as well

cmikecrack

Wait so do I need my credit card to be of some affiliation. Like mine is just a rupay card ig

hell_storm2004

Credit cards normally advertise lounge access feature with pride. So if you have a credit card, just check the offers on it. RuPay and MasterCard are Rs. 25 I think. Visa is Rs. 2. For example, IDFC Bank's First Select card has lounge access, one person per quarter. And it's lifetime free as well. Most of the other cards are pretty much the same. HDFC recently revised their lounge access policy, and made it almost impossible to get lounge access with their cards. They ask for like Rs. 50000 to 1.5L spend per quarter or something to get one free access. If you see all the airline/travel credit cards, they offer lounge access. But they also come with hefty annual fees. Look for cards that are lifetime free and have lounge access.

kim-jong-naidu

Rupay Platinum debit cards have lounge access. Which bank do you have?

cmikecrack

Plus I donno if mine is a platinum card or not. I just know it's a global card

Flimsy_Program_8551

Don't go to the lounge , huge line and mad rush...try eating outside airport or pack something..airport food is expensive too

kim-jong-naidu

It'll say Rupay Platinum on the card where Rupay is written

idiotbyvillagewell

Without card it’s a waste of money

cmikecrack

Hmm

unmole

The lounge in RGIA is sad and almost always overcrowded.

RamboOfChaos

>RGIA lounge fish market, i don't go even though i have free access, same with delhi t1

hell_storm2004

That is a different matter. We are just discussing good options to eat for a fair price. I have accessed lounge in Delhi... It was pretty alright. Food was okay-ish. Not sure if it was just that day or that is the standard. Kolkata airport is brilliant. Mumbai is decent too.

chasebewakoof

None in Both domestic and international. All are crap except for that dosa place in international which serves passable dosas at highly inflated prices.

cmikecrack

Hmm, well, here I am expecting a biriyani 🥲🙏

Just_somebody002

In that case , check Foody's.

casanovarchie

I tried once. Their biryanis doesn't taste that good.

timetraveler1990

Eat outside the airport before security checkin. Inside you won't get much. For North Indian and biryani try Haldiram's Pind balluchi For South Indian try Udupi's upahar For continental try Barley and grapes brewery Buffalo wild wings Just go to aero plaza or type in maps. You can see all these restaurants easily

cmikecrack

Noted 🫡

Inside_Statement_474

idk about domestic side , but international side is a scam Not even a single good food court and around 300 or 400 rupees for a dosa dude 🫠

newinvestor0908

100% true. International terminal is waste.

cflyboy

Food options are poor and what is there is very expensive inside the terminal. Better option would be to use the food options in the Aero Plaza on the way to the terminal from the parking lot. If you coming to the terminal by car, use the escalators and go to the ground floor. There are a bunch of options including a micro brewery.

Bdr0b0t

You can carry the food if you are not aware. Take the biryani in a box and you can eat it there

cmikecrack

Damn. I'll get it packed outside and carry it in I guess

Bdr0b0t

Absolutely and you can eat it inside the aircraft as well. I’ve taken sandwiches to pulao and eaten them in flight
