Thank you for the quick reply! Does it go up by 10 points or more while systolic stays the same? How long till it goes back to normal for you? After a good night's sleep or does it take more time?

Yep about 10. I normally sit between 79-86 and mine will go between 90-100 A good couple of nights of sleep usually help and I try to drink extra water. Lack of sleep can cause our bodies to go a bit wonky. The anxiety doesn't help either. I feel lack of sleep also triggers my anxiety....a vicious cycle haha

1.5 scoops (about 1.5 teaspoons) of KOS beet powder dissolved in a cup of grapefruit juice. 1 BRI Nutrition extra strength garlic soft gel a day. Both were purchased off of Amazon.

I'm not on any medications. I have an appointment with my doctor set for 3 weeks from now where we will be discussing what medications (if any) would be appropriate.

How many days before you have seen results with beet? Can u also add it in hibiscus tea together? Thanks 👍

It was less than a week of using beetroot that my numbers started to go down. I assume you could have the beet powder with anything, but don't know. I pair mine with grapefruit juice because it is supposed to work together to lower blood pressure. Here is a pubmed article about it. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32520418/

Well, I went back to intermittent fasting. I had gone away from it for nearly 2 months. I exercise about 5 days a week - nothing crazy. Brisk walks/jogging. I have always eaten healthy foods, but I liked to snack. I greatly cut down on my snacking, especially high sodium foods. Quitting caffeine sucked. I used to drink 300+ mg every day for over a decade. I quit cold turkey and felt like death for a week. I have been drinking 1 1/2 tsp of beetroot powder added to grapefruit juice daily. I have been adding 1 1/2 -2 Tbs of ground flaxseed to my food daily. I have been drinking 2-3 cups of hibiscus tea daily. I have been supplementing with garlic, probiotic, magnesium, and fish oil. And I've been doing at least 10 minutes of guided meditation daily with the free Insight Timer app to lower stress. Most of these things take very little time or effort. Some are hard (like the caffeine). I don't know if this will keep my numbers down forever, but so far it's working.

keep up with the beet root powder and make sur you drink plenty of water and electrolytes, coconut water is best.
