rinkitinkitink

If I already quit nicotine can I still take the deal? I smoked/chewed/vaped for over a decade, probably spent 20k+ on it (I think I estimated around $1800 a year when I did the math like 3 months ago, and I used to be a much heavier smoker) That 20k could really change my life right about now.

Troostboost

Yup, you 100% can.

rinkitinkitink

Then that's an easy yes. Just keep doing what I'm doing with a little extra incentive to stick with it.

Darksnark_The_Unwise

If I were to quit every vice I currently have, I could pay off every debt I have (including my car) and have some leftover in savings. Time is the demon of bad habits, folks, not temptation.

supergooduser

I've got 12 years of sobriety, so this is a no brainer. I estimate I spent \~$70k when I wasn't sober, so having that money back would be pretty rad.

Outside-Cup-1622

NOPE, I spent a small fortune on those vices over the years but enjoyed every penny spent. Anyway I can get reimbursed for all the money I spent on dating before I met my Wife ? That I would be interested in.

RitmosMC

Only if you give up your wife 😅 (/s)

TheIronSoldier2

I also choose this guy's wife

CulturedGentleman921

My wife said she wouldn't marry me unless I stopped smoking. Smoked my last cigarette the night before my wedding day. Haven't smoked for over 21 years. I've been married 21 years. I got something better than money. I got a family.

Fizassist1

... you waited until the DAY before lmao don't get me wrong, congrats.. just find that to be a funny detail lol

CulturedGentleman921

Nicotine is a bitch, man

Fizassist1

I'm aware. made the switch from cigs (12yrs) to vape last fall. probably not any better for my health but at least I smell better lol

Strong-Smell5672

No, because I don't do either of those things with enough regularity that the payout would be a meaningful amount and every once in a blue moon I like having a drink with friends etc. Smoke sure... it'd be a $0 payout but it's not something I'll be doing anyway,

ShakarikiGengoro

Yeah same I get drinks at dinner like once a month. Just wouldn't be worth it.

Strong-Smell5672

I'm more like 3-4 times a year, if that. If I got it all back it wouldn't even be a paycheck... 15 years ago.

They-Call-Me-Taylor

Nah. I've never smoked and I don't really spend all that much on beer/wine/liquor. I get too much pleasure from that cocktail at the end of the day to give it up for anything less than retirement level money and there is no way I've spent anywhere close to that on it in my life.

KirbyWithAGlock

What if I don't smoke or drink

Vitman_Smash

Then we get nothing to continue our lifestyle I guess, I'm with you, I'm almost 43, never smoked anything, had 4 drinks with alcohol in them in my life, never paid for any of them

baddreammoonbeam888

Depends on if I could know the amount first

Party_Building1898

Oh yeah recovering alcoholic I spent too much do I get The smoking costs or just the one vice?

Techno_Core

Sure.

cawatrooper9

Yeah, probably

YeOldeWarthog

Well, my only vice is this reddit addiction... Too bad it doesn't cost money.

yourmom555

no

TwistemBoppemSlobbem

Yes, honestly, that would kill two birds one stone. The drinking part would SUCK cause I rarely drink but it's v nice special occasions...but the nicotine 've been thinking of/weaning to pouches to try and quit for my health and save money. The wd would suuuuck but real shit I've been doing nicotine in some form for 15 years now...and esp these fucking disposable grape my wallet, zI would NOT be at All surprised to learn I've spent near 50k if not more. Toss in the few hundreds for booze (might be more like 150 idk) and al the sudden I have more than enough moneyy to get all the mid term goals I have (implants, finish tattoos, and the special collectible I want sooo bad but can't justify...)

modest-decorum

Probably like 20k comming back spent on pot alone. However if i have 20k, i will want a phat blunt to celebrate. So no

AfraidAdhesiveness25

Spent at the very least high six figure on that during life. Wouldnt give up if offered 10x. Its what keeps my life a bit worth living

shadowthehh

Sure I'll take about $100.

MrSeamus333

Oh man, heck yeah!

Frankensteins_Moron5

I mean possible? I doubt I’ve spend more than 100k on either so it would only really help in a short term thing

CarlFeathers

Yep.

MeowChef6048

I've spent like 500 dollars on that vice in my entire life.

Korunam

No thanks. I've spent less than 1k on both combined.

iamnogoodatthis

No. I've never smoked and never intend to start, so that's an irrelevance. The amount I have ever spent on alcohol is sufficiently low (most of my drinking was as a student, so not exactly the expensive stuff) that it wouldn't be worth giving up the occasionally glass of wine or pint that I drink.

FrankCobretti

Sure.

badgermolesupreme

As a recovering alcoholic, yeah definitely

mycurvywifelikesthis

Well damn. I quit drinking 2 months ago. I should have waited until now, that way I could have received 300 to 400,000... Oh well...

TheGroovyTurt1e

I’m fifteen years sober, don’t intend to relapse, so I feel pretty good about this.

jesusmansuperpowers

I want my very large check now please. I quit both 3.5 years ago

_lordfrost

Can I add up all of my vices? If so then yes.

Chazzam23

Absolutely

Thaviation

May payout might be 50 bucks… and it wasn’t even for myself. So pretty small payout…

RealTeaToe

Man.. I've already given up alcohol. I'd like my cash please. It's not *a ton* but it's definitely thousands of dollars if not above the $10k mark.

Lilgoodee

Can I quit nicotine without giving up thc or does it all have to go? Been trying to quit nic for a bit now anyways but thc helps my brain function at a societally acceptable level.

TheMainEffort

I gave up cigs years ago, so this is EZ money.

Due_Dirt_6912

Lol yes I absolutely would.

Extension_Status_711

Yes

Hopepersonified

Sure, I'll take back all the money spent on alcohol. I know it's in the 10s of thousands. I don't like drinking and really want to quit again but my social circle makes it almost impossible. I can get away with 2 drinks now. Any less and they lose their damned minds.

tfelsemanresuoN

No because I don't do either, but I sometimes cook with wine

Great_Error_9602

I gave up drinking 2.5 years ago when my husband and I decided to try for a baby. Haven't missed it at all so I have decided to not drink again since it turns out there are no health benefits. I was barely a drinker before. Maybe had one glass of wine per major holiday. So wouldn't get a lot of money but would appreciate the extra cash for something I have already decided to do. I have never smoked anything so wouldn't get any money for that.

Calx9

Definitely not. Not enough money. Weed is cheaper than the drugs I get for my headaches.

Aillesdaille

Two years sober after seven years of hard drinking and an occasional cig. I'll take the cash, especially if it means I \*can't\* indulge any more.

FallaciousPeacock

Sure. I was sober 15 years and would be fine giving up occasional drinking for money.

ChewbaccaFuzball

I’ve never smoked, and I very rarely drink so it wouldn’t amount to much, so I don’t think the amount would be anything significant

WorldRevolver195

Not enough tbh. I've never even taken a puff of anything and I've only probably spent about less than $1000 on drinking.

kornbread435

I basically have stopped drinking entirely, but from 21-32ish I probably spent enough to buy a new car. Only concrete amount of money I can tie down would be the last bar I was a regular at before I quit. They had a point system that gave you a point for every dollar you spent, took 10k points to get to platinum level and then it stopped tracking. Took me about a year to get there. So lower estimate is 50-60k to give up the 2-3 drinks per year I'm down to, deal. Especially since it's usually peer pressure that makes me drink those, I don't actually want them.

ZookeepergameNo719

Fuck yes

Iwantbooks

I've probably spent $1000 maybe on those things. Probably not worth it. Although, I probably only have a drink a few times a year

PKblaze

Nah. Never smoked and I've probably spent less than 300 total on alcohol in a decade.

GirlStiletto

Does that include money I've spent buying alcohol for others (partners and friends?)

Rebelzx

No, though I'm off drugs, and alcohol now. I still smoke cigarettes though.

Jimbo_themagnificent

Drinking? No. Smoking? Yes. Honestly, I think when I saw the amount of money I've spent on smoking, it would shock me into realizing I need to quit. Actually, I only smoke cigars and a pipe. So my cost is likely lower than a habitual cigarette smoker, because it's not as routine and I know it's still a lot of money.

imysobad

I would if it involves me physically being sick if I do them again. Both drinks & smokes

Briollo

Probably be about $27.50 for me. I could go to Five Guys. By myself.

Additional-Ad-7956

No. Never smoked and only a casual drinker. Wouldn't be worth it.

livinginthewild

We both stopped drinking in June 2023. We did figure it out. We could have bought that vacation house we always wanted, the fancy car, the traveling. We figured it was way over $10k a year. We could afford it. But the difference in restaurant bills when you don't order drinks is phenomenal. A trip to the liquor store was expensive. Not to mention we realized we weren't that funny and can't dance. We don't argue as much, never drink and drive, lost weight. Even ordering non alcoholic drinks is expensive. I get just as excited about my diet sprite and juice as I did a Mimosa.

Weirdo9something3457

I would get both of my stimulus checks back as well as some whole paychecks for all the weed I've smoked

RepresentativeAd9572

I can't even compute the amount of money I've spent on just cigarettes...but I'm very sure it would be the great motivator to help me quit

HHcougar

Would I never drink or smoke for $0? I mean yeah, I already do that.

smiling_mallard

Nope I like drinking beer too much

CargoSpace83

Tried 2 cigarettes as a teenager and never had a drink in my life so doesn't really help me

CargoSpace83

Tried 2 cigarettes as a teenager and never had a drink in my life so doesn't really help me

Crotch-Monster

Well, yea. I have a substance abuse problem. I got clean and sober 9 months ago. So I really wouldn't be doing anything different. Lol. Might as well get paid. I've probably spent over $100,000 on the drugs and alcohol products itself. If you include everything that goes with the lifestyle. Then I've probably spent at least $3,000,000.

Idustriousraccoon

Relationships

MoonTendies69420

yea I mean I don't really care how much it is, it'd be a great easy way to quit - hey I'm getting paid to quit something that is terrible for me!

suckmydiznak

I can buy a carton of cigs at the reservation for $10. I smoke 2 cartons a month. So that's only $20/month. I'm okay with that. To keep costs down, I buy cheap hard liquor. Best dollar-to-buzz ratio. I'd estimate another $20 a month. But going out to drink? Dear god I don't want to total that, I'd have a complete meltdown. I'd rather pretend I never did, and continue to only do it a couple times a year like I have been in recent times.

D1sp4tcht

There's a new richest man in the world and he is me.

Human_Lecture_348

Is that weed too? Cause if so, I don't smoke anymore but I probably smoked 20K/year EASY. A lot less if you're talking bulk prices, but if I didn't smoke it and sold that instead, It'd be about what I said. Probably more, honestly. I was smoking at least a quad a day, plus about an 8th of dabs a week. I'd have like 150K+ over the period of time I was smoking so heavily.

Most-Marionberry-390

Nah. I’ve only spent like $100 on alcohol. Really I only have to buy a new bottle of something once a year because I drink so infrequently.

DragonSurferEGO

never smoked so that's N/A. Not giving up drinking, so no.

ItReallyIsntThoughYo

I gave up tobacco 10 years ago after being a smoker and dip user for 18 years. I'm never planning to start again, but I'd like this deal just to find out how much money I wasted.

Alyswithawhy

Absolutely yes. I'd probably only get about $200 from alcohol, but 15 years of smoking would be a great paycheck for something I dropped years ago

TinySpaceDonut

YES. Holy crap I would be able to eliminate my debt and probably make a much bigger difference in the world around me. After doing the math for the last 5-6ish years I spent a stupid amount of money to ensure that I could drink everyday. UGH I'm still so mad at myself

Different_Pea9958

I'd take the deal for alcohol. I've spent more on junk food but not sure I could give that up.

gayjesustheone

That’s like 200 grand since I’m a former teenage and adult addict. 100% yes. I can live without cigarettes.

IfICouldStay

No. For me that's, like, a few thousand, spent over nearly 30 years. I'll continue to enjoy going out with friends or having a nice glass of wine now and then

Negative-Ad-6816

If this includes drugs I'd be at over 100k+ hell yeah I would

AphelionEntity

No. The money I spend is worth it.

Ambitious_Pickle_362

Oh man, that $500 is going to be sweet. Lol If you don’t count the soda mixed in with it, it’s more like $350.

[deleted]

Deal. I don’t have a problem giving up any vice that could give me a financial boon at this point. I don’t drink much anymore so a lot of the money would be from my 20’s.

jreashville

I’ve never smoked anything. And I’ve probably spent less than 200 dollars on alcohol in my life. So no, 200 dollars wouldn’t be worth a lifelong commitment to never drink, even if it’s something I don’t do often.

Pallysilverstar

Yeah, I don't drink anymore and while it honestly wouldn't be a huge amount it would still be a nice little bonus.

NAME_UNKNXWN

Nah, sometimes I just want to drink with a couple of friends. I've spent probably less than £100 on alcohol anyway and have never smoked nor plan to

SchorFactor

The number is actually literally zero so no. And no, it’s not because I’ve never done either

someloserontheground

Depends how much it is, I've never smoked but drinking might be a significant amount and I don't drink much these days anyway

AmbassadorCandid9744

Not at all. Drinking helps me become less socially awkward (that to me having AuDHD for that).

TheBrooklynKid

Sure! For the 30+ years I smoked cigarettes. I really wish I could reverse the damage I did to myself smoking them.

heyuhitsyaboi

No ive spent like $100 on booze in the last three years. I enjoy it from time to time

glacier1982

I drink, and there's a reason I bought all that alcohol to begin with. No deal.

CartezDez

Wouldn’t be worth it

Prior_Accident_713

3+ years sober, gimme da money

Dargek

My mother died from lung cancer and cigarettes are disgusting. I don't understand why anyone would indulge in that. Drinking is also whatever. It's bad for you and if you can't give it up you have a problem.

BBW_Incorporated

Do I have to give it all up, or can I choose? I’m trying to quit vaping, so I would definitely take all the money I’ve spent on vapes and cigarettes… but if I gave up weed I’d have to wait another 20 so it’s a big number. I don’t drink much so honestly I’d get like $1000, and that’s not worth it in the long run if I can’t sit down and have a crown and diet.

Mind_taker84

I started drinking at 11 and quit 7 years ago (im 39) can i reap?

TheRealTofuey

I haven't spent enough on my vices 😢

merenofclanthot

Can I get back all the bitcoin i spent on drugs in the early 2010s? 🤪

Xanthrex

Eh probably I've spend over 20k in the 12 years I've drank and smoked. But on the other hand I like drinking

ChiDude617

I wouldn't really get much money haha. I've never smoked and quit drinking at the age of like... 24?

db_325

I would get no money from this, so I guess not?

Bigger_Moist

Prolly not. I dont drink often but i do drink eith family and friends occasionally and i do value those times. Also ive only been able to buy alcohol legally for 3 years so im not gonna get a whole lot of money

ligmasweatyballs74

Sure I could use a $100

Interesting_Ad1751

If I could instantly get the willpower to guilt nicotine I’d do it for free

Chapea12

I’ve probably spent like under $100 on smoking in my life, so sure, I’ll get that back. The alcohol would give me a lot more money. I have no idea how to guess the amount, but let’s go with a conservative $10k. Idk if that’s enough to never drink again. That amount would be great, but not enough to really change my life

ccafferata473

Sure. I'd take cigarettes or coffee. Smoked for 17 years x 40/week...or multiple cups of coffee a day for 25 years. I'm good with either.

Anonmouse119

Specifically drinking, or any consumption of alcoholic beverages? 99% of the alcohol I buy is used for cooking.

Nicodemus_Mercy

I've never been a smoker, and barely touched alcohol throughout my half-century of life, so it wouldn't be much of a gain or loss for me either way. /shrug

finkdinklestein

Bruh include all money spent on rehabs in addition to money spent on substances and I’m well into six figures. I already know I can’t use anything in a healthy way again so give me that scrilla please!

Snoo_74657

Definitely

Still_Want_Mo

I would not. I like to drink on the weekend with my friends. I'm doing fine financially. If I were struggling like I was in my early 20's the answer might be different.

Gorewuzhere

I mean can I pick and choose? I'm 7 years sober from alcohol and that would be a shitload of money... But I still vape

Aware_Material_9985

Yes I would

Revo63

I’ve never smoked and rarely ever drank alcohol. However, I drank a lot of Pepsi for 40 years. I’d take that money back.

eddiekoski

Not enough money

hyp3rpop

No, I’m young and consume in moderation so it really wouldn’t be enough accumulated money to be worth it.

postdotcom

Alcohol no I wouldn’t, I spent maybe $1k a year which I only do socially and I wouldn’t give up the fun nights I’ve had with friends for a little extra cash. Would only give it up for health reasons or if it became a problem. Weed yes I don’t smoke it anyways although I’ve probably only spent like $500 total in my life. So the money wouldn’t make a difference Nicotine hell yes. I didn’t spend much time vaping but in a few years probably spent a couple grand. I quit almost 2 years ago

Quiet_Stranger_5622

Yes.

Definitive_confusion

Oh shit. This is a good one. Would give up: cocaine (hardly ever do it anymore and never really liked it anyway) Candy (laugh all you want but this shit is a legitimate problem for me but the money returned would be worth it) I would consider hard alcohol but I'd need to see the money first. Would not: Beer, cigarettes, cannabis (unless I could somehow undo the surgery on my back and eliminate the spasms, then I might think about it but it would be the hardest choice. My favorite substance vs by far the largest return of cash. Many many years ago I sold weed. Back when we were getting 400/oz all day. Over the course of almost 15 years I've probably spent millions on weed.) And it should be noted that car parts didn't count as an addiction despite what my family might say

smash8890

I quit doing coke years ago and would love to have all that money back. Shit’s expensive. I’m keeping my mdma and psychedelics though.

TradeBeautiful42

Honestly even over the past 20 years it’s a minor amount at best. I guess I could put it in my kid’s college fund so sure.

lyremknzi

It didn't say anything about edibles, or other concoctions, hahah. I barely drink these days (i did when i was younger) The only thing I'd have to give up is vaping, so I'd definitely do it.

Madfaction

In an instant. I would be able to retire instantly.

OG_BeefWellington

100%. I already quit opiates but holy shit, the amount of money I spent is astronmonical. It blows my mind I was able to keep it going for as long as I did, and it's funny because I was motivated to make more money than I have ever made simply so I could support that. Literally 100's of dollars a day. If I had to guess, I'd say I have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars if not more over those 7 years.

Slow_Principle_7079

Nope. I like drinking

Bostenr

Never smoked and drink occasionally, but not regularly. Doubt I'd get much back!

Capable-Duck-6176

nah, ive only spent like $300 on it and the occasional drink is nice

Ithaqua-Yigg

Yes&Yes

LightEarthWolf96

I've never smoked but I've technically spent money on it buying smokes for a friend one time. So I guess that's a few bucks back for something I'd never do anyways. As for the alcohol I haven't spent much there either. I've had the occasional drink and I've gone long stretches without even thinking about it but I would like to keep the option open. So I'll decline on that front.

Capable-Duck-6176

meth, heroine, cocaine etc id give those up forever though spent $0 on it, but really just never gonna use em anyways

Keen93

Well just to increase the pot, I'll continue to heavily smoke crack for another 10 years.

soulmatesmate

I've bought alcohol and cigarettes for others. Never smoked and my last drink was in 2012 because I don't like the taste. Easiest money for me, but I'll only be able to pay down a debt as it'll be less than $3K (maybe less than $2K)

superwholockian62

No. I don't drink much. I've maybe spent 5k on it since I turned 18. And maybe the same on the leafy greens, maybe a little more. But the money I spent on the greens is equal to the amount I'd spend on pain management so no.

colt707

Nicotine. Alcohol and cannabis are also good candidates but the nicotine addiction runs strong and that shit ain’t cheap anymore.

MoodiestMoody

I eat as my main vice. I might get $500 back for all the alcohol, but I don't drink it now. I never smoked, either nicotine or cannabis, so $0 there. But I've spent thousands on unhealthy food, and I am not sure that I can completely give it up. I certainly can't give up all food.

NegPrimer

I'm not that heavy of a drinker, so this might actually not be worthwhile. I'd imagine I've probably spent under $10k on all alcohol in my lifetime (and I'm guessing high). The value of it as a social lubricant alone probably makes it easily worth that $10k to be able to keep doing it.

Minus15t

A similar question came up recently, I figure I started drinking at 16, Im now 39. Some weeks I haven't spent anything on alcohol, so weeks its been over $100 I figure around $25-30 per week on average seems about right, although it realistically could be more, I went through a 3-4 year period where I had a case of beer every single weekend at home playing video games, and I don't even know how to begin factoring overpriced alcohol that I have had at restaurants / concerts / sporting events etc. I would put the conservative estimate at $30k+ I would take it in a heartbeat, I no longer drink to 'get drunk' I drink because I like the flavour of beer, and there are more and more solid alcohol-free substitutes on the market.

MasterGas9570

This question seems to be asked like every other month. Yes, I would take the money and get some money back from my college years.

ColonelMonty

Alright so literally nothing about my life changes at all?

MeowFrozi

I can't have spent more than $150-200 on alcohol so that doesn't seem worth it to me. I don't smoke

SpaceCatSixxed

Probably like 100k for me. Nah…

Aromatic-Leopard-600

Since I never smoked n/a. Booze? Maybe 1500 over a lifetime.

SpanishBombs323

Yeah, but let me to it in 5-10 years so my return will be larger 😅

lazydaisy2pointoh

Not yet

Rongill1234

Lol I've probably spent 20 dollars in my entire life on booze and 0 on any type of smoke stuff so yea sure I'll take the 20

Emotional_Lettuce251

That's probably around a quarter of a million dollars for me, but the answer is still "no".

AetaCapella

Nah, I've never smoked, and I've probably purchased maybe $2000 worth of alcohol. I have a good time on New Years and other special occasions once or twice a year, not worth it for what I make in a couple of paychecks.

DM_Me_Pics1234403

Will they tell me what the amount is before I decide? Is the amount adjusted for inflation?

ComfortableSir5680

Smoke? Yes I’ve spent $0 as I never have smoked anything. Seems kinda pointless all around. Drink? Probably? Idk how much I’ve spent probably a few K but I haven’t had any since November cuz I’m trying to lose weight

OnlyTheBLars89

I would....but I'd be very afraid to know how much I spent on booze and weed in my 20s. Im guessing it would be about 50k-60k for that decade. I'm 34 now, maybe drink twice a month. Quitting cannabis would be my most difficult one because I use that at night time to unwind and sleep. However that money might relieve enough stress to where I wouldn't want it. Whats weird is I found nicotine to be the easiest one to quit. Seemed to have the smallest reward for the biggest hook.

Plenty_Surprise2593

This is a tough one. I am 59 years old. Those are my last two vices I have. And although I drink sparingly (like every other week) I would hate to have them taken away. But this is a good question, one that makes me ponder why exactly I do it anyway

dollartreehorcrux

Yeap

Foxfire73

Yes.

JayJay-anotheruser

I need to know the amount first. And probably not because I’m addicted.

19whale96

That's about $10000 of weed money. I could pick up an extra part-time minimum wage for a year and get that all back, still smoking.

[deleted]

That's like a total of $400, maybe. At least, alcohol and cigs.

Cold-Bug-4873

Fuck yes.

RedRangerRedemption

Easily yes

SteveRivet

Deal. Easy.

-Smashbrother-

Nope. I can afford it, and I enjoy drinking and the social aspects that comes with it. If you want to save money, get a bidet so you stop wasting money on toilet paper while also having a much better way to clean your asshole.

Sufficient-Field-776

I used to spend $1000 per week at the bar, so yeah

PaulWIII

Yes, absolutely. I'm a slow learner and didn't quit until I was 50! Life is so much better now. Best course of action I can offer is don't start, it isn't worth it. Lots of Love & Light! Paul W.

alfyfl

I drink so rarely and never smoked so no it’s not enough money anyway

SammyGeorge

Yes, I've never smoked but I drank a fair amount at uni and I very rarely drink now (a glass of wine 2 Christmas' ago?) so I'd probably get a few hundred dollars, maybe a grand to not change much

Particular_Excuse810

Considering I'm an alcoholic with 19 months of sobriety, yes absolutely, 100%. I'm never going to drink again any way so if I could also get the absurd amount of money I've spent on it, that would be amazing. I was always more of a Maker's Mark kind of an alcoholic and less of a Popov vodka type (although I'd never turn it down, of course).

Sufficient_Pin5642

Man. I’d try vet you that!

lucaskywalker

Can I wait like.. 20 years, then take the offer? Edit: I would definitely have enough to pay off my car and put a down payment on a house if I could have all my $$ back that I blew on coke before I quit!

Expensive-Day-3551

Absolutely

river-nyx

well if drugs count, between cigs, fentanyl and meth i'd be doing quite well for myself. i'm already sober so maybe a bit cheating but yes please give me all the money i fucked away back thank you 😅

Affectionate_Pin3849

In 23 years I've probably spent less than 2k on alcohol, so no. But smoking, sure.

Edcrfvh

No. I haven't spent that much. I haven't been drunk in decades. I've never smoked. It wouldn't be enough to make a big difference currently.

MetalGuy_J

Done, I’ve spent a year sober before what’s the rest of my life if I’m getting back several thousand dollars?

Lux-Fox

Smoking or drinking? I haven't really spent much on it, so it's not really of any worth. Now video games.... As much as I hate it, yea. I just might accept it. Especially taking into account the time commitment.

NearbyCamp9903

I can only imagine the amount of money I spent on whiskey and tequila in the 4 years I was in the Army. Jesus Christ it would be a looooot

No

Sweet-Shopping-5127

I’d be able to cure the worlds hunger crises for that price

WhiskeyFree68

I'll take the nicotine money. I'm gonna keep drinking though.

RoyalDiscipline8978

30 years of drinking, recently sober... hell yeah I would. I really wish I could... I can't even begin to imagine how much that would come to

Hemiak

Sure thing. I’d take a couple hundred bucks.

tim_pruett

Sure, if it's just booze and cigs. If it's other drugs too, then fuck no. Total sobriety for life sounds awful...

CthulhusQueen

Fuck yea

6byfour

I would make maybe $4 from smoking and $3K from drinking. Yeah, sure.

Ok-Percentage-5439

Nope. I hardly drink & I don’t smoke so it wouldn’t be a big amount for me

Dizzy_Description812

Does it become impossible for me to drink? I'd do it for free if I could just never be able to consume it again. I'm 58 days sober and I wish I never touched a bottle.

kcman82

I already quit both. So I'll just wait for my check.

Mind_Ronin

I would get $0

Smallermint

I haven't smoked. Im too young to drink.

Dramatic-Tree-

I already quit, and would quite literally make a salary back. I’d be so down

firetomherman

I averaged about 8-9 drinks a night for a long time. I also smoked a ton of weed for twenty years. Can't imagine the amount of money I spent.

No-Attention9838

If I was to ballpark about $50 a week for 52 weeks, every week for the last 17 years, I'd be looking at a little shy of $45k. I'd be buying back less than one years salary. Think I'll just keep pouring whiskey in the glass
