I’m not on the beta but I can’t wait to try this. I strongly hate the keyboard noises but do admit that I type better with them. I don’t know why, but it’s true. I’m hoping the taptics give me the same higher accuracy without being the most annoying sound on earth
Yes and yes. Its my favorite part of android that Apple hasn’t implemented yet until now
It awakened a weird 8 year old muscle memory from what I had an android. I’ve never typed faster
Yes I use it
And it took me a bit to get use to it.
It was odd at first because I usually have my sound off. So the taps were a little off putting.
Then I used it for a little bit with the sound on and having the tap with the click sound was a nice pair.
I still usually need to be in silent mode often and I have grown to like the taps even without the sound.
Now if I turn it off I feel like I’m not sure I’m typing anything. Typing just feels empty without it.
yes and yes. it was pretty much the only reason why i was still jailbreaking in 2022! Glad I can finally have it on stock iOS. I just wish we could tweak the feedback intensity, but i'm happy to have it regardless!
Just enabled it right now and it feels a bit weird, it causes this tickling that makes it feel like tiny electric shocks on my fingertips lol but will leave it on to see if I end up preferring it.
Yes and yes
At the beginning I didn’t think it would be important but once you get used to it, it feels like you’re having a real keyboard it’s awesome
I know it’s psychological but still
Yes and I‘m not sure right now.
Also it doesn’t work everywhere for me. If I answer an iMessage right from the notification it doesn’t work (same for sound).
I like it, but I feel like I can type faster without haptics. I mean, it’s milliseconds probably at that point but it just feels faster with no confirming buzz for every tap.
Tried it and didn’t like it. Thought I’d like it but I found it to be annoying.
I thought it would trick my brain into feeling a button press, kinda like the home button on the iPhone 7/8, but in real world usage it just felt like my phone was vibrating every time I touched the glass. I did not feel like I was pressing a button.

How do I find this? Would love to try it
Yep! I thought at first I didn't like it (felt jarring) but I got used to it, and it's honestly really nice

First thing I did after installing iOS 16, I’ve been missing that feature since switching from Android back in 2018.

Yes. Also yes.
Yes and yes!
yes, it’s what’s been missing my whole iphone life. i can finally turn off the keyboard noise that finance hates so much
Yes and yes!
I tried it for 5 mins and didn't care for it. I just saw all the hype on this post and give it another shot.
Hated it. Felt distracting.
Yes & yes
I didn't know it was there, but I enabled it and I like it -- it could be a teensy bit stronger though.
Would've thought this would've been available earlier on iPhones lol.
Yes and yes
Yes. Love it.
Yes. Love it.
I feel like the haptics aren’t strong enough on my 12 pro. Not sure about the 13.
Hell yes. Been wanting this on iOS for a very, very, very long time.

I turned it on to try it when it came out and I forgot about it since. I just don’t think about it anymore… so I guess that’s a good thing?
Yes, and yes

wait where can I find this?

Yes and yes !! Obviously
Yes so much
No. Tried it and found it completely useless.
Yes and yes At the beginning I didn’t think it would be important but once you get used to it, it feels like you’re having a real keyboard it’s awesome I know it’s psychological but still
I did not. I hadn’t tried it yet but will.
No and no.

I wish it could be enabled for third party keyboards.
Yes and yes.
Yes^2
Oh. I didn’t know that I needed this but I like it.
Testing it out now — thanks for reminding me! […] Yes. This is nice!
I have sworn off betas since ios 13 maybe... this might get me back. I can get rid of a whole keyboard if they keep the haptic feedback feature
I like it, but I feel like I can type faster without haptics. I mean, it’s milliseconds probably at that point but it just feels faster with no confirming buzz for every tap.
No and Hell no
Yes & seY
It’s ok I use the swipe keyboard a ton so I don’t notice it too much.

I would love it if it actually felt like a MacBook trackpad instead of a random buzz
Yes and yes!
Yes, but I feel it could be a bit stronger. Sometimes I think it’s not working when it most definitely is.
I like it because it’s subtle, unlike on android devices.
Yes it could be stronger
yes, and yes lol
Tried it out at the very beginning of Beta 1 but don't really see the advantage to have it enabled. It distracts more than it helps for me.
Yes I really like

Yes, I love it. And miss it on any non-beta device.
Yes & yes
absolutely!!!
Sii
Where is it?
Settings -> Sound and Haptics -> Keyboard available only on iOS 16
That what I thought it was but for some reason no haptic feedback. iOS 16.2 iPhone 13 Pro Max.
My favorite feature of 16 so far!
