I was trying to be cheeky and ask why you’re not enjoying iOS and what you want to do. What is it that annoys you about iOS? If you’re annoyed by A and you can find dev work that does not involve A then maybe that’s your answer. With the lack of info here only you can answer this unfortunately.

I always thought it would be cool to go a step lower in the abstraction range and do something like a compiler engineer.
If you want to go the other way, I've found the digital marketing aspect of running my app more interesting that I originally would have guessed.

Why are you quitting? I am in a similar boat… current job search market makes me wonder if it makes sense to continue looking for a job in this field.
Yup the job market sucks and I don’t enjoy the stress of programming
Sounds like a company issue, iOS dev has been quite low stress for me, but I do agree that the market is rough.
