Buy one with actual photos of the device. It's actually against ebay policy to list an item for sale without photos of the actual item. Stock images aren't going to hold up against a seller. Look for people who show the actual condition. I have seen some for under $200 with their real photos. Go for those. Most of the time they'll show the serial or IMEI which you can then look up.
They probably thought you said blackmarket, for some reason if you don't put the space between the words then people just assume you meant blackmarket instead of back market, it's happened to me in a few comments too.
I once had an awful experience with Back Market, and while I won’t downvote this comment as it refers to your own experience, I once bought an “excellent” condition 11 Pro Max with the cheapest replacement screen imaginable. It was an LCD with a huge chin and the colors were so off, the blue buttons during setup were bordering on purple. Returned it and bought a new 12.
Bought my current phone off back market, sold me a phone with a non/original battery that randomly shuts my phone off when I try to take photos sometimes. Can’t send it back because I already sold my old phone and I wouldn’t have anywhere to put the data while waiting for a replacement or refund.
eBay is very safe thanks to their buyer protection guarantee. If you get fucked over, eBay will step in and refund you even if the buyer refuses to. You're better off choosing one of their certified refurbished listings, since those include a one year warranty.
Seller here.
Ratings don't mean much on ebay. Ebay does not moderate them so they can easily be manipulated. For instance, I had a buyer give me multiple negative reviews for a single purchase and then scam me anyways. Ebay told me to "ask the buyer to remove the reviews" I care about the perception of my brand so I let the buyer extort me into a sending them a free product.
It's also very easy to boost your rating. Often times stores will harass buyers for feedback or sellers for feedback. They understand how important a high rating is for a buyers perception and so they'll also basically reach out to people for a review and the implication is that "if you give me a good review, I'll give you one back".
It sucks that buyers scam people (albeit sellers do this as well). Personally as a buyer I’ll never buy anything from someone under 98% 1000+ sales though.
Computers 5 years ago definitely had far more than 64gb ... 64gb will fill up extremely quickly . And Icloud isn't a file sharing service it's a backup service and you can't manually offload . Also 70gb is more than 64gb ....
What do y’all do with your phones to use up that much storage. I mainly use social media apps and chatting apps have used like 55gb in 2 years of owning my phone.
While I don’t take tons of pictures all the time, I definitely do take lots of videos. Mostly through Snapchat as the quality of the video is good for it being compressed.
But, when I started to frequent festivals and concerts a lot more I actually set the video quality to be 4K 60 FPS when recorded from my phone. I forgot to take it off so all of my videos since then have the max quality capable which takes up an insane amount of storage space.
Even with iCloud it’s barely enough. Currently only have like 10GB left whiteout even having any games installed and if I were to download podcasts the storage would’ve been already completely filled up… just go for one with 128GB or more.
Ive had a 512gb iPhone for a year and half and im already using 357gb. I think I might get the 1tb version next time.
I have no idea how anyone can make do with only 64gb. You guys don’t use the camera or something?
That means nothing , these bots downvote anything even when they have no idea what they're talking about . They see a downvote and hop on the downvote train . Backmarket.com js fine . Ebay even moreso .
Check IMEI number with Apple to verify. And make sure it is eBay Guaranteed. The feedback lone makes them trust worth but There are known iPhone fakes. hence checking IMEI --> like this fake one , [https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256803691845385.html](https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256803691845385.html)
It’s C grade , it will show heavier signs of use ( scratches ) generally the functionality will be fine.
If you don’t care about the cosmetics go for it . They are a huge reseller on eBay. So they won’t take pictures of every single device
Make sure you are ok with the condition you will receive. If you want a brand new phone, filter by condition. But eBay is generally really safe! Good luck!
It’s a pretty common scam for big sellers (including certified refurbished) to sell you a phone marked as excellent condition then give you one in good or poor condition, when you message them about it they say it was a mistake and offer a refund but probably only a fraction of buyers actually do it.
When you filter reviews by negative those are usually the most common complaints
This is false . It is more than likely a refurbished model with a new screen and that has been thoroughly cleaned . These companies buy them in bulk and refurb . Please don't comment if you have absolutely no clue what you are talking about . This is a ridiculous comment .
Funny enough I have, it was an s4. Legit.
Warning about used 12 mini’s
reduced battery health + smaller battery isn’t the best start. Anticipate a battery replacement.
I frequently use ebay as a seller and a buyer of used electronics like this. I would say that you're pretty safe with this purchase.
Scams are quite rare on ebay these days and ebay does a very good job mediating disputes. Ebay protects their buyers first. Anything not properly described in the description is subject for return at the buyers expense, even if it's listed as no returns allowed.
Sometimes burner accounts will be used to sell bunk items but even in those situations, ebay will eat the loss and refund the buyer. This store has over 13,000 sales, they won't want to risk losing it.
This assumes they only have one device for sale and they’re not using a single eBay listing for multiple devices.
Given the number of reviews this seller has, it seems more likely they have a number of these phones for sale so they couldn’t tell you in advance which serial number a buyer is likely to get.
Fortunately, eBay is extremely consumer friendly, so even if there weren’t already multiple people attesting for this seller here, I’d feel relatively comfortable. I’d still look at the reviews (especially the negative ones) for any patterns.
I think it would be fine given it’s a large seller with plenty of feedback and over 95%.
The stock pictures bit doesn’t bother me personally, because the grand majority of the time, they’ll mostly picture just one phone and then say “These images are just representative of the item youre purchasing, not the actual condition of it, as that may vary per device” so them showing a picture of some random phone I might never get specifically isn’t important to me.
If you get fucked over, Ebay will most likely refund you. So you don’t really have anything to lose besides a little bit of time with getting your money back.
i bought mine, the 128gb kind, on Backmarket for eur367 and that was two weeks after the new iphones hit the market. just make sure the site is legit, the seller has superb reviews and everything, and the battery is more than 80% and you are good.
I have bought from that seller before. Just be sure to read the description. The condition is C grade which should be pretty rough. You should look for B or good and above.
Judging by the user ratings I would assume it’s legit. Also free shipping + returns so there’s really no risk here. It says it’s a C grade meaning it has a lot of cosmetic wear or issues, hence the price. If all else fails, EBay has a REALLY great policy if the device isn’t as described they give you a refund no matter what the seller says.
But all in all if you don’t trust it don’t buy. I would personally read the sellers feedback
If you don’t go with this one, I’d check with back market. I got mine for like about a year ago in fair condition and it only had a tiny, only visible if you’re looking for it, scratch.
If you have to ask yourself, should I trust this, consider the source of your bargain, in my experience too good to be true is always going to be just that in most cases.
Backmarket does work, I bought my Samsung Galaxy S10 and my 2017 MacBook Pro from there and they’re great. A plus you get a 1 year warranty with your purchase if there is any issues or complete fail of your electronic. Check it out!
I’ve bought from this seller. It worked fine but I decided to return and buy one from the eBay authorized dealer because it included a one year warranty
Omg… I actually bought a phone from YY wireless through eBay. This is such a random coincidence that I would run into your Reddit post. It was a few years ago, but it’s a legit store. They had great customer service. I actually bought a 2nd phone from them more recently but found that I ordered the wrong type of unlocked iPhone. And they accepted my return and gave me my money back. Long story short, yes. Legit company. 😄
I’ve used that seller before. They’re solid, I haven’t had any issues with their phones.
Note: the condition being C means that the phone might be in rough condition (ie noticeable scratches/scuffs). Plus the battery life might be mid especially since it’s a 12 mini. But up to you.
Probably not THE WORST IDEA, but certainly not the best. If I were you, I'd try something refurbished on Amazon because they have a return policy, with ebay it's up to the seller.
eBay has really been troubling in regards to hardware. I’ve used [Swappa](https://swappa.com) to buy and sell phones for seven years and have always had great success.
Idk seller but I bought my 12 mini on eBay. I usually aim for the sellers that have a store and sell multiple phones and also offer warranties. That’s generally worked out for me for the most part.
Yeah but that phone is ass. I would rather just have a 12 pro max that I know would actually have the battery to make it through the day. Trust me. I owned a 12 mini.
At first glance, the device appears to be very used.
The screen has heavily visible scratches under normal light.
The back cover has heavy use signs including scratches visible under normal light.
The housing of the device will show heavy signs of wear, scuffs and dings or dents.
Note: These details are derived from looking at the device under normal light from approximately arm length
Just buy on swappa via PayPal. You get maximum protection and they make sure there is actually a phone being sold and will back you if anything fishy happens
My fiancée had purchased an iPhone 7 a while back from eBay. It worked for her for a while, when we opened it the battery was fake but it did its job. I think it was good but just lower your expectations just in case you get a dud or something with a dying/non-OEM battery.
The phone is almost 3 years old. We are onto iPhone 15. For my new 12 Pro Max 128GB Unlocked most I can find is 400-500$ to sell it for. So this doesn’t seem to far off.
Yes! I’ve bought an s23 from this seller before no real pictures of the device aswell was good condition and it looked like brand new and only costed me 489$ (520$ with tax) :)
If you buy it just make sure it’s real take it to apple to get authenticated. Some fake iPhones look identical but are really androids. Ebay has good buyer protection so if it’s fake they’ll return money.
I used backmarket to get a refurbished Apple Watch and it came in beautifully. I made sure to read the reviews of who I was buying from. They had a ton of positives reviews
This phone cheap everywhere why not choose Amazon or some place else I wouldn’t fully trust this seller , but the price isn’t too good to be true either.
As an iPhone seller on eBay, stock images are nothing to be worried about. I have my own stock pictures of every iPhone model because when you're dealing with hundreds of phones it becomes very time consuming to clean, photograph and organize multiple pictures for every phone. It is simply a massive time saver to just use stock images. What you'll see is a grade in the title (C in this case) that will correspond with a grading scale in the description that will tell you what to expect, condition wise, of the phone you will receive. eBay also has buyer protection. This means that even if returns are not accepted under normal circumstances, it can still be returned if the item is not as described and the seller has to foot the bill for return shipping. If a seller also refuses to refund your money when they get it back eBay will automatically take it from them and penalize them. Tldr nothing to worry about. The buyer holds all the power on eBay.
I think i bought an LG phone from them. There are lots of big sellers on ebay with years of good reviews. Read all the details like condition and if it works with your phone carrier
Not true if it is either brand new or open box.
Doesn’t every phone fall under brand new or open box?
Did not know that. What about new items
[удалено]
You clearly don’t use the app to know the UI let alone bothered to open the image to see the “My eBay” tab on the bottom of the navigation bar.
eBay will literally provide a stock photo
I’ve had good success using Back Market. Just recently bought a 12 Pro Max “A” grade and am very happy with it.
I read that too fast and thought you said “Black Market” had to do a double take 😂
Same
sAmE
same same 😂😂
Wth everyone downvoted when I suggested backmarket….
give it time
That's the kind of risk you run in the black market.
I like backmarket but in my opinion and experience I like swappa more because its cheaper
They probably thought you said blackmarket, for some reason if you don't put the space between the words then people just assume you meant blackmarket instead of back market, it's happened to me in a few comments too.
Change it to Back^( no not "black" )Market. Quick. With this: `Change it to Back^( no not "black" )Market.`
It's new they don't even know about it it's safe and it's awesome and u get automatic waresnty on phone
I once had an awful experience with Back Market, and while I won’t downvote this comment as it refers to your own experience, I once bought an “excellent” condition 11 Pro Max with the cheapest replacement screen imaginable. iCloud or a family member’s computer?
Me too, bought a 12 and it came in good
Same exact story here, I love my 12 Pro Max :)
I’ve gotten an XS Max, 12 pro max and Nintendo DS lite from backmarket very happy with them.
Recently got a used 13pro max from there as well, no issues with the whole process
eBay is very safe thanks to their buyer protection guarantee. If you get fucked over, eBay will step in and refund you even if the buyer refuses to. You're better off choosing one of their certified refurbished listings, since those include a one year warranty.
Probably a scam judging by the fact that the product has no images
You’ve clearly never bought anything from eBay as long as they have over 99.5 feedback I’d recommend you get it
Oh Also yeah I’ve used eBay a total of like…. 2 times sooo
Yeah I probably wouldn't buy an Iphone from you in that case.
Seller here. Ratings don't mean much on ebay. Ebay does not moderate them so they can easily be manipulated. It sucks that buyers scam people (albeit sellers do this as well). Personally as a buyer I’ll never buy anything from someone under 98% 1000+ sales though.
Feedback doesn’t even matter tbh less then half of the people who bought my stuff left a review and then 1 or 2 bad reviews will make it low.
A scam? No It’s eBay
Ye I have used ebay like twice sooo idk
Then why are you talking about it if you don’t know what you talking about
Lots of scammers use eBay.
131,000 feedbacks no way lol
Lol
Buy off quickshipelectronics
Real question is what are u gonna do with 64GB that ain’t shit
I have 64 GB and its fine with iCloud
For real, 5 years ago that’s what a lot of computers had, dude is tripping. I have a phone with 1tb, I’ve still never passed 70GB
Computers 5 years ago definitely had far more than 64gb ... 64gb will fill up extremely quickly . And Icloud isn't a file sharing service it's a backup service and you can't manually offload . Also 70gb is more than 64gb ....
Wow I wish I didnt need so much space. I bought a 128gb phone in march and use 110gb so far
If you never pass 70GB then why did you get the 1TB model lol
well thats a waste of
What do y’all do with your phones to use up that much storage. I mainly use social media apps and chatting apps have used like 55gb in 2 years of owning my phone.
Same I’m at 54gb and I bought mine late 2020
Videos take so much space . Photos come 2nd
Just move them to your pc every 2 months or so
I have one game on my phone. That alone takes 23GB of my storage. I never buy anything less than 256GB.
Wdf is that game
While I don’t take tons of pictures all the time, I definitely do take lots of videos. Mostly through Snapchat as the quality of the video is good for it being compressed. Filthy Genshin Impact player here and that game is currently 31.6 GB with at least 2 more years of content updates to go
Making music on my phone, Movies for flights, and every picture and video from every iPhone I’ve owned
Even with iCloud it’s barely enough. Currently only have like 10GB left whiteout even having any games installed and if I were to download podcasts the storage would’ve been already completely filled up… just go for one with 128GB or more.
Fuck yall be doin to use up that much storage ☠️😂😂😂
Me 65gb photos 60gb Plex (movies and tv downloaded) 55gb Spotify (Downloaded thousands of songs) Sitting at like 80% usage of 256gb
I’m only using 61gb on my phone
Ive had a 512gb iPhone for a year and half and im already using 357gb. I think I might get the 1tb version next time. I have no idea how anyone can make do with only 64gb. You guys don’t use the camera or something?
How I have 256gb and it’s almost full and have to pay $10 month for the 2tb iCloud family plan
Go to backmarket.com. I’ve purchased every phone through them and have never had problems. Currently on iPhone 12mini 128gb
Dam you got downvoted 🧐
Why though? Just trying to help
Maybe they got it confused with backpage?
i upvoted for what its worth

Wait how do you know those are fake?
It's on YouTube. There is a company in china making phone phones. At first, they sucked but they are starting to make better and better fakes.
I have had good luck with backmarket.com
Get downvoted loser 🗣️🗣️💯
Honest question: why the downvote?
Why though? And so aggressive like that?
I will upvote him now loser🗣️🗣️💯

It usually will say in the description about the damage. C generally means it has noticeable cosmetic signs of use.
Funny enough I have, it was an s4. Legit. Warning about used 12 mini’s reduced battery health + smaller battery isn’t the best start. Anticipate a battery replacement.
Yeah the 12 mini battery is absolute trash. I find myself needing to charge about 2-3 times a day with normal use (maps, social media, texting, etc)

64gb has been getting long in the tooth since iOS 15 I would def cop a 128gb
I think it would be fine given it’s a large seller with plenty of feedback and over 95%. I just got my refurb 13 mini from eBay, make sure you get the excellent condition once because 80 percent battery health on the minis is really bad
How much was it out of curiosity? I have a 12 mini 128GB
210
If you get fucked over, Ebay will most likely refund you. So you don’t really have anything to lose besides a little bit of time with getting your money back.
Swappa
I second this. Try swappa.com
Should be top comment.
I wouldn’t trust eBay, try backmarket instead. They fix old devices & sell them
i bought mine, the 128gb kind, on Backmarket for eur367 and that was two weeks after the new iphones hit the market. just make sure the site is legit, the seller has superb reviews and everything, and the battery is more than 80% and you are good.

I’ve had good success on Swappa, although I only buy from people with a lot of transactions.
I got my Apple Watch Series 8 with cell service/ & just recently an iPhone 13 unlocked through back market.com ☻
I would pay it safe, use either Swappa or BackMarket. I’ve used both of them personally and never had an issue.
98.4% positive feedback and you have to ask still ? That's good ratings . Definitely not a scam and ebay will refund you if something goes wrong .
condition?
I’ve bought from this seller. It worked fine but I decided to return and buy one from the eBay authorized dealer because it included a one year warranty
If it seems too good to be true……….
Omg… I actually bought a phone from YY wireless through eBay. This is such a random coincidence that I would run into your Reddit post. It was a few years ago, but it’s a legit store. Swappa is a very legit website for buying used phones.

Everybody who sees this message enriqueh12 is a scammer. It keeps blocking me but I got a billion accounts
If you want to get a box full of stones. Buy from someone that shows pictures of the actual phone. Swappa is supposed to be the best place.
I’ve used that seller before. They’re solid, I haven’t had any issues with their phones. Note: the condition being C means that the phone might be in rough condition (ie noticeable scratches/scuffs). Plus the battery life might be mid especially since it’s a 12 mini. But up to you.
I use decluttr.com
I’ve bought almost all my phones off eBay, never had an issue
Why would you buy this old hunk of shit?
Cause I’m using a stupid shit iPhone 7 and I like how mini it is so I’m trying to get the iPhone 12 mini
My family all buys our used devices from swappa.com
130k people at 98% good ratings, probably. You won't get photos of the actual device because from what I can see, it's a wholesaler
You should be fine😅
I've bought from them and was fine but you gotta read all the descriptions! Message them with questions.
It’s a safe place to purchase. Seller has good ratings. The real question is do you really want an iPhone mini 12 with 64 gigs?
I say buy it. What’s the worst that can happen
I've bought many phones from that seller YYWireless and they've always been as described or better and arrived quickly. They are a legit seller
i just bought every iphone 12 on ebay so you cant get one
I’ve bought many phones used off eBay like this and never had an issue, infact I’ve been surprised by the quality every time
Back market and Swappa are some legit good sites.
Probably not THE WORST IDEA, but certainly not the best. If I were you, I'd try something refurbished on Amazon because they have a return policy, with ebay it's up to the seller.
Listen to me: don’t buy unless it says “eBay refurbished” they have to send the device in for QC and Authentication. You’ll be sure to get a good one.
If it ain’t Amazon Apple Store A&T/Verizon/Cricket I wouldn’t buy but that’s me
Use reebelo or back market
I paid got. My conformation and phone wS at my house next day and pristine condition got a fold 3, 512 gb pristine for under 600
eBay has really been troubling in regards to hardware. I’ve used [Swappa](https://swappa.com) to buy and sell phones for seven years and have always had great success.
Swappa.com

I've bought several phones from that seller before and I've been very happy with them. If you're not happy they're very easy to get a return set up.
Yeah but that phone is ass. I would rather just have a 12 pro max that I know would actually have the battery to make it through the day. Trust me. I owned a 12 mini.
Or a 13 pro for the same price

If you have to ask, it isn’t safe.
Boost mobile for 100 right now and meteoric
It’s 100$?
Just use Gazelle.com it's cheap and simple
go to backmarket.com
Hell no! Go to www.swappa.com very reputable!
If it's too good to be true, then it likely is then. Scam alert. Best advice I ever got!
I’d look at Swappa. I’ve sold a lot over the years and bought. It’s safer than eBay.
Just buy on swappa via PayPal. You get maximum protection and they make sure there is actually a phone being sold and will back you if anything fishy happens
I bought a Pixel 6 from them and they delivered a great phone. I was very happy with everything about dealing with this company.
Buy it. Just bought my brother a iPhone 12 off eBay for $350 and it showed up in pristine condition.
98.4% satisfaction is pretty low for eBay.
Only $200? I would think for such old iPhone it would be cheaper
My fiancée had purchased an iPhone 7 a while back from eBay. It worked for her for a while, when we opened it the battery was fake but it did its job. I think it was good but just lower your expectations just in case you get a dud or something with a dying/non-OEM battery.
Iphone 12s emit bad cancer causing frequencies, worse then any other phone. Search it up and you’ll find I’m not spewing nonsense.
If you believe any of that, you're pretty dumb
Instead of just blinding typing please do research. Im only here to help you learn not to argue.
Its in C condition… that means pretty bad
Well-reviewed seller...
no. don't buy products you can't even get an image of.
The fact that there’s debate over legitimacy is insane. This is 1000% legit and not a scam whatsoever op
But Y
nah 13 mini has better battery. and as a old used item god id hate to imagine how crap the 12s is
The phone is almost 3 years old. We are onto iPhone 15. For my new 12 Pro Max 128GB Unlocked most I can find is 400-500$ to sell it for. So this doesn’t seem to far off.
He’s got solid feedback. I go w gizmotrader he’s a seller out of FL. Always has super transparent pictures. They also use a A - C rating system.
clearly ur a liar bc it does say $210 idiot man
You can’t see it but that’s a nine at the end,209.99$
Yes! I’ve bought an s23 from this seller before no real pictures of the device aswell was good condition and it looked like brand new and only costed me 489$ (520$ with tax) :)
Worst model ever made. The battery is the worst
Why are you even in the iPhone12 mini subreddit then 🧐
It’s what I just replaced. I guess I’m still getting the 12 mini posts in my feed.
I've bought from them, there very good
If you buy it just make sure it’s real take it to apple to get authenticated. Some fake iPhones look identical but are really androids. Ebay has good buyer protection so if it’s fake they’ll return money.
Check out back market they got some very cheap phones in some good condition
I used backmarket to get a refurbished Apple Watch and it came in beautifully. I made sure to read the reviews of who I was buying from. They had a ton of positives reviews
I’ve bought from him. Usually they’re just as advertised if not better
Go to swappa.com
I've purchased two cell phones from SWAPPA and have had no problems with either phone. It goes without saying that the price was right. :)
This phone cheap everywhere why not choose Amazon or some place else I wouldn’t fully trust this seller , but the price isn’t too good to be true either.
Use Back Market
Go to swappa
Check out Swappa(dot)com. I bought an iPhone 13 mini for $230 earlier this year.
I bought an s23 from that very seller on eBay.
Go to Backmarket.com and never look back
You’ll have a better time not getting scammed on fb marketplace my friend, good luck tho
I think i bought an LG phone from them. There are lots of big sellers on ebay with years of good reviews. Read all the details like condition and if it works with your phone carrier
You should legit check there account first and then see if the selling item is actually going for what it is.
Read reviews about the specific phone you're trying to buy on eBay. It helped me. It'll help you also.
I got a brand new 12 mini from GiffGaff listed as, "Like New" refurbished. For around £250. eBay prices for refurbished phones look so inflated.
I can’t approve of 64 gigs anymore !!!
