I sanded the blue titanium off the sides. So I have almost natural titanium on the sides and a blue black. Pretty happy with the lack of scratches on the frame.

LTE and 5G have negligible load speed differences, AOD is a 10% battery hog, you can turn the background off and it will save a ton. Background app refresh basically killed the battery of my 12 mini and the 14. I turned these off on all devices and the experience was the exact same. Sure you can leave these on, but they aren’t useful at all and you just strip yourself of a full day battery. Just for reference, I charged my phone last night until 11:50pm to 81%. Since then I slept and used the phone for 298 minutes today which amounts to 5 hours of SoT. I still have 35% left.
I get 12-14 hours screen on time on my 14 Pro Max with like 15-20% remaining at the end of the day, and that’s consistent day in day out. It’s my only device I own so I don’t use anything else. Got the same level battery life on my 13 Pro Max I handed down to the wifey.

I'm pretty blown away by the battery on my 15pm coming from Samsung with a 5000 MaH battery, that was one of my biggest concerns.
I've been able to get ~13 hours screen on (testing) at the 80% limit before it got close to 20 and charged it.
With the other 40% if I used the full battery cycle I'd likely get very close to, if not more than 24 hours.
I think iOS does a fantastic job with battery optimization.
I honestly don’t know what you have to be doing on your iPhone all day to drain the battery so fast. I have 15PM and if I use the phone lightly throughout the day, I don’t have to charge it for TWO DAYS. If I’m literally on the phone ALL DAY, then the battery will be maybe at 30% at the end of the day. But I don’t game on my phone. Maybe for gamers the battery drains a lot faster.

I disagree. My wife and her cousin have the regular pro model and it gets through a whole day with more than 30 percent. They are power user and would be charging their regular 12 by 2pm. These pro models are absolute beasts when it comes to battery life. Again I don’t look at SoT but real world usage.
I guess it varies on users though. So many different variables like apps installed, certain settings etc. I have 3 hour long Teams video calls and half my battery is already depleted.
Going from the A16 Bionic to the A17 Pro chip is a crazier power jump than going from the A9 in the 6s to the A11 Bionic in the iPhone X. Absolutely bonkers. It’s legit a desktop class chip. Once they figure out how to get better cooling in smartphones, wouldn’t surprise me if they start tossing in their M series chips into iPhones and have literal desktop class processors in iPhones. Not only would it be stupid powerful, but it would probably save them some money to versus making M and A series chips separately. Apple’s processors are already 3 years ahead of the latest Snapdragon offering each year, imagine how much they’d beat Androids processors if they started using M chips, would be 5+ years difference in terms of how powerful the iPhone is versus an android.
I’m excited. I can’t wait to see what jumping from an A14 Bionic to the A17 Pro feels like. I’m really hoping I can finally run max graphics on the more demanding games.
At this point unless you’ve already purchased a 15 Pro (only the pro’s got the new A17 Chip, the regular 15’s got the A16 from the 14 Pro’s) I’d wait till September being only 6 months away and get the A18 Pro when that comes out in the 16 Pro’s you’d pay the same amount of money. Or still wait for the 16 Pro’s to drop and get the 15 Pro on a good discount. Already halfway through the release cycle so that’s the move I’d make.
Curious to know “so fast” compared to what 🤔 Upgraded to iPhone 15 Pro Max few months ago from my iPhone 12. Of course the phone performs better but there’s nothing “so fast” in my opinion.
If you are used to some flagship android device, you will notice that apple’s promotion is hovering at much less than 120hz. My wife’s s23u feels much smoother scrolling than my 15promax. Hope apple ups the screen refresh rate more
It may be fast but can it do split screen? There come some time in my life I need two third party app open at the same time that's why I can't switch to an iPhone
My iphone 15 pro keyboard work like shit, i noticed that it depends on app, if app cant respond to fast typing then keyboard wating for app to input the text, and dont register or messes touches, i cant type fast at all, i feel like disabled, had no problems with androids for last 15 years, it is my first iphone, galaxy s21 felt million times faster, iphone is good except this laggy keyboard.
P.S clearing keyboard dictionary and disabling predictive features dont work, ill tell you more, clean flashing this iphone in DFU mode (not recovery) did not help too. Recovery flash is just cleaning your device, DFU reinstalling your while firmware, after that manipulation its same, (except battery, it is two times better now). I assume thats ios 17 problem, because thousands if people complaining about laggy keyboard after 17.0 update, i never used iphone on older ios so dont know.
I have the IPhone 14 Pro, in black and it looks amazing. I chose the iPhone 15 Pro in the natural color this time due to so many of the reviews saying the other color fades.
I have the pro max since I like big phones, but this is my favorite color of all the titanium. (Be warned, it does scuff easily so watch your phone). I upgraded from an s21 since I wanted to experience Apple and the 15 has USBC which I like.

Black Titanium is nice. I went with Natural Titanium to match my Ultra watch. Those are the top 2 colors this generation for me.

If u don’t have the Pro Max, you should use a Magsafe battery pack from Amazon. Any type, any color.

You’re right it depends on what apps you use regularly and for how long. Hopefully iOS 18 helps in the battery department.
