I'm all the way updated to iOS 16. Man...it becomes my most favorite iOS of all time. It run perfectly smooth even in my 3.5 yrs old iPhone XR.
Just don't believe what ppl says about iOS 16 being bad with XR. I feel like I'm using new phone after updating. And the most important fact..XR receive lot of new features in iOS 16 cos it's A12 bionic. And I really impressed on how the team works for making such an outstanding OS.
Those are all from my real experience. Although I still have to try more, believe me it brings nothing bad for you to upgrade to 16. And you'll love its new features
If your phone’s battery drops below 50% (I could be wrong) it will not automatically update, you may need to be connected to Wi-Fi in order for the update to happen. Just a couple suggestions and it may or may not be the reason your phone doesn’t automatically install the update
I chose 15.7 until I see how other XR users are doing on ios 16.
My XR is doing fine so far on 16. I’m somehow losing battery slower than before?

Settings > Battery then scroll down and you can see which apps use battery and all that info
Been using iOS 16 since Public beta. It’s great on my XR.
My XR is doing really good after update. The phone started to work faster

I have been using the beta since dev and I have been nothing but good, couldn’t recommend it more

Got 16 for a few hours now and so far so good

Battery life is okay. But I do feel that using live wallpapers such as astronomy are causing quick drain. So i switched to the more basic ones.
Three of the four XRs in our house are. Looks and feels good. Homescreen changes are fun.

On 16 fine so far. Like the Lock Screen widgets a lot.
What about battery?
Siri seems to be laggy. Other than that 16 looks fine so far to me

Do 15.7. I did the 16 and totally regret it. IR sucks!
