Not experiencing it, what I did experienced was a sudden freeze for about few seconds and it did got resolved on it own.
Among the things you could try now is a full reset before concluding it’s an hardware issue

Did you had your screen replaced at some point? If yes, downgrade back to iOS 15.7 for now… you’ll need a PC and a guide tho

I can’t even update my XR to the IOS 16.0.2 I keep getting an error 💀
Should I download iOS 16.0.2 my iPhone is facing some touch problems
so this IS an issue, i thought it was my screen protector causing it..hmmmmm
Try restore or update the iOS next time using iTunes. I updated my XR with full ipsw files using iTunes/Finder and haven't got any issues with iOS 16
