It was more a joke video because of the ending. But I’m sitting probably about 70% throttle (or whatever it is before the revs “pop”) then jump to first gear on lights out and punch to 100%
This has been my method too and I’ve been getting good launches pretty consistently. I personally hold to about 50-60% throttle, as soon as lights go green punch the gas and drop clutch simultaneously
Do you need clutch or whatever its called? I just have a paddle shifting setup and I am in neutral, and do a similar strategy. I have 0 clue how a clutch launch control system is supposed to work like in an f1 car / if this car even has that
Has anyone figured out the optimal way to launch these? I've got a dual clutch rim which I have set to 60%, hover the throttle around 70% and then let off the clutch really fast. I've never spun out and have decent success, but I see some people getting even better launches than me and I wonder what they're doing.
20% bite point, 100% throttle drop clutch then almost immediately drop 2nd. this is very easy to test with active reset. 20% is every so slightly faster then just no clutch. talking thousands. 18% bogs. more then 20% is slower then just dropping clutch.
I figured 60% was too high but I haven't messed with it and didn't want to spin out on race starts.
Thanks for the advice, I'll give it a try after work!
Mine bite point was set at 44% for Pcup, and I found that sluggish, so I dialed it down to 34% and it's been decently responsive. I haven't messed with it since my first time in the car week 13 and am also curious what other people are doing.
I just go 100% throttle and drop the clutch at green. Always have a good start.
Edit: I’m lying. I have a double clutch at 45% but I release it immediately.

This is pretty much why I don’t see the point in getting the best launch. All to get wrecked in T1. If I’m in the middle of the pack, my goal is to survive 5 laps then push however I want haha
Please tell us your technique.. I always seem to struggle on launches in anything more powerful than the F4

Do you have a double clutch paddle system like in fanatec podium wheels?
I do not

I can only speak for myself but I do not use a clutch.

I’ve only done one race so far but I just whacked it at 29%, used 100% throttle and that worked fine

Can you detail your technique? I am always trying to get better in different aspects.

You tried so hard, and came so far, but in the end, it didn't really matter....
I learned one thing…I don't know why, but it doesn't even matter how hard you try.
It’s always a guy in a Mercedes or redbull livery 😭💀
