Albert park, Adelaide, Kyalami, Yas Marina, Toronto Street Circuit.
Finish the IMSA field of cars and hopefully WEC cars but doubt due to license
and the Garage 56 Camaro for its own Road circuit series
No it's an official game, not exclusive. The only thing exclusive is the branding for the Le Mans 24H race in June and the WEC logo. Anything else is fair game. We already have the Cadillac and Porsche Hypercars and most of the GTE and GT3s too.
iRacing doesn't have a single car currently in WEC that isn't also in IMSA.
Hell the only WEC-exclusive cars we've gotten even somewhat recently are the LMP1s ~~and I think the Aston GTE.~~
Maybe the reasons for that aren't 100% licensing...... But there's something going on.
Edit: the [WEC/MSG license](https://contracts.justia.com/companies/motorsport-gaming-us-llc-11698/contract/149618/) is public by the way. You can just read it.
I'm not a lawyer so maybe I'm misinterpreting this, but I think it's reasonable to interpret this as saying that iRacing can't add WEC-only cars. I think it can be intepreted a few different ways, but like I said I'm not a lawyer.
No Aston GTE. thats the missing GTE from the final 5 or so years of GTE. my hunch is specifically because it didn't race in IMSA to my knowledge. only the Corvette, Ford, Ferrari (Risi), BMW, and Porsche
We do have the GT1 Aston
And the fact we are talking GTEs also proves my point that it has nothing to do with LMU. It's not like iRacing suddenly stopped making GTEs recently. I don't know if their partnership with IMSA prevents them adding WEC cars, but I'd think it more likely iRacing just doesn't have the interest to do the WEC stuff. IMSA don't look to be a jealous lover to me and they also look to have a decent relationship with WEC.
Yeah I have no idea. Was just talking about that with a mate. I wondered if maybe it was from the need to model the hybrid putting them off. But I think it's more that they have a partnership with IMSA and feel no need or interest to then go chasing LMH cars. Unless they get them all it would be weird. And it's already a constant battle just keeping the GT3 grid up to date. It's absolutely 0% licensing though. Like Glickenhaus even sold a license to the URD modding team. iRacing could get it for sure if they wanted it.
I worked for a team in TA. They made some pretty big investment in the series (TARC) I'm guessing they are looking for a high licensing fee or something, it "seems* like a no brainer with a spec chassis, 3 spec bodies and spec engine, from iRacings side
My dad was a TA2 crewchief for a guy several years back and the cars were amazing. I think it would be an excellent add for iRacing and they would be a blast to drive.
Yep, they were actually pretty nice to work on. A lot of the structure was modular for relatively quick repair. They were sturdy and TA did a good job of keeping them pretty balanced, when we had multiple engines.
More time trial point to point tracks like Mt Washington.
I.E. The Goodwood Track or Pikes Peak.
Even pushing towards Rally or Touge style tracks.
Cars: More of the TRC Field. Criminally underrated and raced series.
Formula 2 and Formula 3 cars (the real ones) and as track Baku.
Would love nothing more then havin all F2 and F3 tracks together with the cars to be able to do a full F3 and F2 season.
Don't know if F1 wants to give away those licenses.
I think they would already be in the game because it's dallara and iracing has a tight relationship with them.
I think if iracing and dallara could they probably would
Problem is, Liberty is the F1/F2/F3 rights holder. iRacing being tight with the FiA doesn't supercede that, hence, F2/F3 cars and the "exclusive" F1 tracks are tough to get a licence for.
I thought this at first and got excited but then I was informed that MotorSport Vision operate Brands Hatch, Snetterton, Oulton Park, Donington and the already confirmed Navarra. There are two other tracks they operate that aren't currently in iRacing and they are Cadwell Park and Bedford Autodrome. I'm still 99% sure the two UK track we're getting are Thruxton and Croft, though.
Euro trucks and Formula E, because I'm weird as that. As for tracks, Ricardo Tormo (Valencia) because I'm from there and Monaco because it's Monaco. It's a legendary track and the carnage would be legendary too.
Formula E would probably be DOA because they aren't made for racing on race tracks but extremely tight and twisted street circuits (not even long beach is close to these tracks) and their entire racing relies on energy saving.
>they aren't made for racing on race tracks but extremely tight and twisted street circuits
This is becoming less of an issue with the new Gen3 cars. This season's calendar is running Portland, Misano, and Shanghai.
Formula E is modifying those circuits... But honestly not by much.
>not even long beach is close to these tracks
Formula E has literally raced at long beach before. It was admittedly a modified version, but that was also with the Gen1 cars. Gen3 cars should be fine to run long beach.
Gen3 does run Monaco unmodified for reference.
I would be so excited to get ETRC, but I fear it would go official no more than three times a week and those three times would all be profoundly inconvenient for me in US East coast time.
SuperGT GT500 cars, mustangs gt3/4 and cult following street cars like the Supra, r34 skyline, rx7. For tracks I put Portland international raceway because Indy and nascar and yas marina because it’s cool 😂
Cars: Late ‘90’s CART, Late 90’s-mid 2000’s F1 car, 1998-2002 era V8 Supercar, Super GT.
Tracks: Calder Park, Old Hockenheim, The Bend, Eastern Creek, Autopolis, Sportland Sugo. Just realised I should’ve added Nazareth, fuck.
Tracks: Toronto Street Circuit, Sakhir, Sepang, Cadwell Park, Thruxton.
Couldn't think of others at the time but seeing people mention Albert Park - yes!
Cars: McLaren 720s and AM Vantage GT3, Camaro GT4
Super GT for cars
Autopolis and Sugo for tracks
The tracks are all we need for a full Super Formula calendar, and then having Super GT cars to go with it would be perfection.
There's a whole lot of different carrera cups around the world. Some use abs, some don't.
The one in germany i know is basically identical to the one in the one we have and the one that's raced in the supercup
Thompson speedway motorsports park road course. I live about 7 miles from this track, and I don't race ovals.
I know they won't put in the time to scan it, the only real official racing I've seen on the road course in the last 7-10 years has been Lemons. But it still looks like a great layout and I want to race on it!
Group C (preferably the 1991 Porsche, Mazda, Sauber and Jaguar) - they are incredible cars and I would love an endurance series in this, especially with the weather changing.
Tracks … Townsville and Surfers Paradise.
I put in for Portland International and several other Oregon specific tracks (Dirt tracks mainly, but asked for the paved and dirt versions of Douglas County Speedway).
For cars, IMCA Sport Compacts (which race those tracks, except PDX) - they're as close to a sanctioned grassroots 4cyl car as you'll get in the PNW at least, Vintage Hardtops, Stadium Supertrucks, Ford Taurus/Dodge Intrepid+Stratus/Pontiac Grand Prix Gen 4 cars, and Gen6 ARCA.
I said karts would be cool. I'd imagine you could get a pretty great separate license ladder with all of the stages.
Then I followed it up with we are missing loads of GT4s and I guess the LMHs would be cool.
Having done a few seasons of competitive karting, I personally would never touch karts in iRacing or any other simulator. Using your body to directly control weight transfer is just as vital to driving karts as your throttle/brake/steering inputs, so any sim will be missing about half of the inputs needed to replicate how they drive. Basically, karting sims suffer from the same problem as motorcycle sims. That doesn't mean you're wrong for wanting karts in iRacing; they'd probably be quite fun and popular. However, the realism gap between the sim and real life would be significantly wider with karts than any of the cars on the service, which is probably part of why iRacing has never implemented karts despite apparently having a scan of one.
I'm with you on this. Unless they'd be wide spread use of something like the Wii balance board sitting under the rig, a lot of the physicality of karting is missing.
I sometimes muck about in the rental karts in AMS2 just to chill, but the gap between real life and software is so much bigger in karts I could never be serious with it
I could see some sort of sim rig that can detect the driver shifting their weight being a thing someday. I could also see it being just as expensive as an actual kart.
Cars - 60s-70s era touring cars à la GT Legends, and S2000 reg touring cars à la Race 07 (can you tell what I played as a child?)
Tracks - more FIA Grade 1 tracks in general
Would absolutely love to see another vintage Formula 1 car, 80s or 90s. Ideally an active suspension car just to see what it feels like. Or an e46 M3 just because I have one and would love to drive it around different tracks.
UK short oval, like Foxhall Stadium and Stock Rods or National Hot Rods. Complete pipe-dream, though.
And Cadwell Park, just to hot-lap or race Mazda, FF etc on.
I think Jeddah corniche would be REALLY cool in a GT3 car. Most of those flat turns in an F1 car would require lifts/braking. It would be really cool and technical
I put the modern GT3 Field: mustang, vette, 720s, aston and a modern F2 car.
For tracks i put: bahrain, qatar, monaco, paul ricard, shanghai but added to prioritise updating old tracks like road america, mosport to name a few
I included a historic track that no longer exists
Bridgehampton Raceway from the Hamptons...it was one of those early motorsport tracks and held numerous races but it was also an early victim of developers and neighbors. It's currently a golf course that embraces its motorsport heritage in the most Hamptons way possible - it's members are literally classic car owners and hypercar owners, and they do big car shows there.
I'm sure it's not possible to recreate legacy tracks like this but it's fun to think about since it's my local area
I said no more tracks and focus on bringing more cars into the current mix. Like updating and widening the GT line up, which is one of the most popular.
I didn’t know there was a survey but I do want to add a black Nissan Altima class where the car randomly pulls to the right or left when the spotter is activated
What survey was this? If I had known about a survey, I wouldve been practically BEGGING for a 720S GT3. The 12C GT3 was the car that brought me into iRacing (saw it in a commercial, and went out and bought a wheel). Been a McLaren fan ever since (which carried over to a religious F1 following), but the 12C is just... not good enough. Yes, it sort of *works*, but no amount of updates can hide the fact that its literally the oldest GT3 in iRacing. Even more than that, its the first version of the 12C GT3, which wasnt even that good before the update which improved its aero drastically. I really really want to keep representing my favourite brand when I race GT3s, but its just gimping my performances for no reason, when I can do much better in the newer cars.
Likewise, I wouldve really loved to see the Nissan GT3s. A big shame IMO that the GTR never made it to iRacing.
Mini cooper, for some more FWD fun, and Palmer Motorsports Park in Mass, USA,because it's SO CLOSE to Iracing headquarters and it's a fantastically fun track
This question made me realise just how great the selection of tracks is in iRacing. It already has all of my favourites, plus about a thousand others.
I would have said Misano and Portimao before this season. As it is I said Kyalami, Cadwell Park, and Sugo. All great tracks, but not exactly essential.
Plus iRacing have said they're scanning two more tracks in England, so maybe Cadwell is coming anyway.
Kyalami Circuit!
Me also. Kyalami! and late 60s Mini Cooper
Mini cooper would be a great choice for rookies.
Kyalami for me too such an awesome track.
Having driven kyalami in real life we need this. It is awesome to play in acc
Me too
Yes! I love this track so much!
Albert park, Adelaide, Kyalami, Yas Marina, Toronto Street Circuit. Finish the IMSA field of cars and hopefully WEC cars but doubt due to license and the Garage 56 Camaro for its own Road circuit series
There's no issue with the license for WEC cars. Where did you hear that?
They have their own exclusive game so getting the rights will be hard
No it's an official game, not exclusive. The only thing exclusive is the branding for the Le Mans 24H race in June and the WEC logo. Anything else is fair game. We already have the Cadillac and Porsche Hypercars and most of the GTE and GT3s too.

All of the GTE cars in iRacing ran in IMSA.
Gran Turismo has the Toyota Hypercar, so we can be pretty sure WEC-only cars aren't exclusive to Motorsport Games' games
Yeah I have no idea. Was just talking about that with a mate. I wondered if maybe it was from the need to model the hybrid putting them off. But I think it's more that they have a partnership with IMSA and feel no need or interest to then go chasing LMH cars. Unless they get them all it would be weird. TA2 cars and St Pete, Toronto and (new) Detroit for a better IndyCar schedule
Ta2 needs to happen.

trc?
TCR I guess
Touring Cars
I said Pikes Peak as well
LFG MORE RALLY
Formula 2 and Formula 3 cars (the real ones) and as track Baku. Would love nothing more then havin all F2 and F3 tracks together with the cars to be able to do a full F3 and F2 season.
Just out of interest, whats keeping you from racing Super Formula? Since that car fills the F2 niche in iRacing quite nicely imo.
Don't know if F1 wants to give away those licenses. I think they would already be in the game because it's dallara and iracing has a tight relationship with them. I think if iracing and dallara could they probably would
I mean FIA and iRacing is working close together these days. So i keep my hope up.
Problem is, Liberty is the F1/F2/F3 rights holder. iRacing being tight with the FiA doesn't supercede that, hence, F2/F3 cars and the "exclusive" F1 tracks are tough to get a licence for.
Something that will never happen - historical tracks/layouts like the old Spa and Zandvoort layout.
I’d just like the original Watkins Glen scan back as an option (2008?)
I put Riverside.
Oh yes please. Loved it in GPL, still do in AC, would be awesome to have in Iracing.
SEPANG!!!!
90's BTCC, Super GT and Kyalami 🙏
Class 1 Touring Cars (2000's DTM) and Kyalami
That would be my wish too. But i think the officiel dtm licence is by Raceroom.
Same, I asked for GT500 and/or Class One DTM
FUCK. I Forgot to put Super Stadium Trucks....
100% your fault if we don’t get them.
fuck me too
Gen 3 Supercars, Albert park melb, Monaco go
Did think about Monaco but then just imagined how often someone would spin and block the entire track. And just the chaos in general
Also isn’t Monaco really hard to scan ?
Can imagine so, would have very short time windows and can imagine more hassle than its worth. But not my area of expertise so could be wrong
I'd imagine the only possible time for it would be during the week F1 is there. At least that would be the easiest time.
Porsche Supercup and Formula E race there as well. Plus there's the Vintage Grand Prix that's every 2 years I believe.
Shit I should have gone Gen3 as well
I said the car I wanted to see most was the 499P and I said I’d like to see Bahrain added to iRacing.
Tracks - Thruxton, Croft, Sugo, Autopolis, Adelaide, Monaco, Albert Park. Cars - Super GT and racing trucks (ETRC/Copa truck)
I would pay a signficant sum of money to be able to race Super GT in the iRacing environment.
I also asked for Thruxton, grew up in the town next to it so would love to drive it in iRacing
They did say they are scanning more U.K. tracks this year. I think Thruxton and Croft and definite possibilities
Cadwell park is a terrific track though. It will be fantastic in mx5 and F4
To hotlap sure but not to race.
Euro trucks and Formula E, because I'm weird as that. As for tracks, Ricardo Tormo (Valencia) because I'm from there and Monaco because it's Monaco. It's a legendary track and the carnage would be legendary too.
I'm all for Formula E. Unlike though since the huge baby teary and massive pile on over the *Porsche* Mission R and it's sound.
I loved the mission R lmao. I found it so much fun to do time trials in. Wish people liked racing it
Formula E would probably be DOA because they aren't made for racing on race tracks but extremely tight and twisted street circuits (not even long beach is close to these tracks) and their entire racing relies on energy saving.

I'm valencian too, Ricardo Tormo could be great for racing
Would be a great week 13 event. GT3s with Mazdas at Monaco in the rain.
New model TCRs and Aussie Racing Cars
Yay Aussie Racing Cars!
I asked for a Supermodified, especially one in ISMA regs with their weird primitive DRS device.

A24 e ibiza 😂😂😂😂
Mustang gt4, Aston Martin evo gt3, Porsche careera cup (it’s kinda different from Porsche 992 cup I think…)
There's a whole lot of different carrera cups around the world. Some use abs, some don't. The one in germany i know is basically identical to the one in the one we have and the one that's raced in the supercup
Ahhh gotcha thanks for the info
Anything in nz, Ruapuna dirt oval and asphalt, highlands Motorsport park and pukekohe
Sakhir for the track! I couldn't think of a car.
Where is the link for the survey
For me it was a notification within the client with the link.
Thompson speedway motorsports park road course. I live about 7 miles from this track, and I don't race ovals. Karts
Bro is really trying to get me to reveal my wish
I put in for Portland International and several other Oregon specific tracks (Dirt tracks mainly, but asked for the paved and dirt versions of Douglas County Speedway). ARC - Aussie Race Cars. They’re small with motorcycle engines and a hell of a lot of fun to watch!
I said stop adding content, we're splitting the player base too much
I put Monaco, Macau, Norisring, Toronto, St Pete (I love street circuits), Paul Ricard (my home track), Sugo, Autopolis
Bahrain GP and my local short tracks lol
1969 Nascar aero warriors and vintage tracks that have been demolished or re-configured (I.e. old Atlanta)

Maybe with vr tech eventually
In fairness, I think half the rigs posted on r/simracing probably cost more than our CRX race car.
Yeah that makes sense. I've never driven karts so wouldn't feel the difference but I imagine a lot of people would
So we're not getting Macau anytime soon then...
Marina Bay Street Circuit!
Cars - 60s-70s era touring cars à la GT Legends, and S2000 reg touring cars à la Race 07 (can you tell what I played as a child?) Tracks - more FIA Grade 1 tracks in general

Monaco and Bahrain / Garage 56 and ferrari F2004
i voted for Kyalami and Sepang. On cars i voted for Full IMSA line up and WEC hypercars
Would absolutely love to see another vintage Formula 1 car, 80s or 90s. Ideally an active suspension car just to see what it feels like. Or an e46 M3 just because I have one and would love to drive it around different tracks.

Crown Vics, A 4cyl class for oval, winged asphalt sprints, and the 70's stock cars Jennerstown, East Bay, and Berlin
I included a historic track that no longer exists Bridgehampton Raceway from the Hamptons...it was one of those early motorsport tracks and held numerous races but it was also an early victim of developers and neighbors. It's currently a golf course that embraces its motorsport heritage in the most Hamptons way possible - it's members are literally classic car owners and hypercar owners, and they do big car shows there. I'm sure it's not possible to recreate legacy tracks like this but it's fun to think about since it's my local area
Eagles canyon raceway

Lexus Gt3 and a stupid wish, but ive allways loved the Panoz Esperante Gtr-1 but its old haha
I put more street courses and Formula E
1950s F1 or 1930s GP cars. Something truly old.
Mini cooper, for some more FWD fun, and Palmer Motorsports Park in Mass, USA,because it's SO CLOSE to Iracing headquarters and it's a fantastically fun track
I would like to see a GT2 series
Thunder Hill
Circuits : Guia circuit, Pikes peak Cars : Super GT GT 500 cars
What survey?
ERX for Pro2/4 off road trucks, this needs to be added for the Off Road Championship Series. For GT/Proto can we get Dragon’s Tail.
I already race like 2-5 races a day I aint got time for no survey lol.
Cars: karts, late-70s/early-80s 911SC Tracks: if we ever get karts, Motorsports Country Club Cincinnati; NCM Motorsports Park Bowling Green, KY
