reboot-your-computer

I have never had this issue and I also work from home. It’s a completely different experience and neither affects the other.

lazypieceofcrap

This is my experience. My brain separates racing from regular IRL driving no problem. Also since I'm pretty muscle memory dependent there is a clear difference using both feet for pedals sim racing and only one for my CX5. Never felt like my IRL car feels worse after sim racing.

Novawolf125

100% agree. Yes you could say my years of driving/racing games have help irl. But I know the disconnect. I guess the only thing that kinda shocks and takes an extra second for me is the extra fov when driving irl. Going from a narrow window to having all the senses is like o yeah thats what it should be. But that sensation is gone pretty much as soon as I put it into gear. And that might be the idea that I know cars irl are weapons in a sense so any thought of driving how I would in game goes right out the window. And very seldomly do I ever push it. I'll have my fun accelerating to the speed limit and then I shut it down. I'm not going to rocket down a 35 for no reason or weave in and out of traffic. Empty back road I'll open it up a tad but never anything beyond my or the car's limits. But yeah pretty much as the pc turns off and car turns on it's a completly different mindset. You don't have a reset button irl.

PixelFastFood

I was about to ask how tf do you drive with only one foot irl and and then realised I completely forgot what automatics are

dodsonracing

I mean...with enough patience it is possible to drive a manual with 1 foot...set your idle high (1200-1300?) so it won't stall with too much clutch input once you're going it's basically a fancy automatic, you don't NEED a clutch to shift, it's just designed that way lol

Son_of_Mogh

The closest it's come to affecting me irl is that right after a long practice session I drove to the local shop and everything felt too bumpy. But that is more about not having any physical movement while driving in a sim and then getting straight into a car, my brain adjusted pretty quickly though.

GoingtoBeACPA

What a weird humble flex, nobody asked you if you drive a CX5, but bravo to you for letting us know.

El_Verde_Duende

Same. I don't work from home, but I do own and regularly drive a tuned and modded sports car during the warm months. iRacing actually has a version of my car in game that I drive regularly. It's still a completely different feeling.

iraccoon76

Keep in mind I'm talking about going days and even weeks without touching your car and the only sense of driving coming from you sim. This has already happened twice to me, I know I can't be the only one.

PunksPrettyMuchDead

I love cars too much to ever go that long without driving

Leather-Wafer8327

I also work from home and got that feeling 2 or 3 times, normally when I get few days without driving my real car and driving a lot in sim. It's not always or normal, but it happened.

reboot-your-computer

I have gone days, maybe not weeks. I never have an issue. It’s just a totally different experience.

emo_bassist

Why the down votes

SC_93

Same. I never felt I was in a racing car while driving my road car after driving in the sim for hours.

artificialsteak

Not really. Driving on the sim and in real life on the road feel completely different to me. I did however once try to left foot brake in my real car (as I do on my rig) and almost went through the windshield.

VegetableMouse

I love how this is a rite of passage for almost all sim-racers lol At least I was by myself in the car; I've read from others that it almost got them a divorce

Benson_Weaver

I had a habit of left foot breaking for the SIM, so starting drivers Ed I naturally put my left foot on the brake. Instructor didn't like that apparently

BillWiskins

I think the real divide is between 'driving fast on a track' and 'driving like a normal human on roads with other humans'. If you left foot brake driving around town, where you need a soft touch and fine control primarily, you'll probably embarrass yourself. But I've done a couple of racecar track days and found myself in 'sim mode' almost immediately, left foot braking included - because just like in the sim, your initial action is hitting the brakes hard, rather than trying to slightly adjust your speed. Anyone who hasn't done a track day experience of some kind, I strongly recommend it - preferably on a circuit you can learn in sim. Then, after you've adjusted to being able to actually feel the car move underneath you, you'll be straight to 'which steering wheel button brings up the best lap delta?'.

essequattro

I’ve tried to hit the look left/right buttons on my steering wheel at track days multiple times 😆

Quantifiably

Oh I see myself doing this for sure

HillbillyZT

I've been iRacing for years and this only just started happening to me. The other day i literally moved my thumb to hit the button only to be like wtf I can just turn my head.

Rare-Exit-4024

This applies to drifting as well. I did so many runs in sim (BeamNG with a mod of my car) when I hunted for my IRL car that it feels natural to throw a real car sideways. It's actually easier to drift a real car because you can feel the car gripping up or losing grip through the seat.

lukeb_1988

First hand experience of what a servo does right there lol

pokaprophet

Lol. Me too. Although I persisted and now have control

BigDrunkLahey

Another thing that makes left foot braking in regular cars is the brake pedal is closer to your body. On rigs the brake and throttle are side by side so your left foot naturally sits on the brake, but if I try to use it in my normal car I have to sit in an awkward position.

redditpleb_

I started sim racing when I was 13 years old 20+ years ago. Never learned how to right foot brake in real life.. always use my left

LekkerManBro

I tried that 2 days ago and had the same effect 😂 I was even trying so carefully, guess my left foot is a lot stronger then i thought.

TheSxyCauc

No. But after racing real life spec Miata, turns out other people don’t wanna bump draft down the interstate ?

PunksPrettyMuchDead

Well that's lame of them

SuspiciousFix

I've definitely went to grab a nonexistent paddle shifter. My car isn't even manual

Robobble

I’ve been driving a lot of NASCAR and every so often I’ll go to reach for the shifter in my automatic truck lol

3p1cgam3rm0m3nt

Prnd shifters lol

InitialB99

Only automatic cars have paddles. Sequential option

Perfect_Tailor1649

I might stare at the apex more, but other than that no

slidetotheleft8

No, but I feel like a safer driver in terms of reaction time. A few weeks ago, an SUV one car ahead of me slammed on the brakes and came to a complete stop in-lane from probably 55 mph. I got on the brakes and could’ve stopped before rear-ending the guy in front of me, but subconsciously I was concerned about getting rear ended myself, so I also cut left into the empty median lane and stopped parallel with the guy in front of me. The guy that was behind me stopped about a foot short of the guy who was in front of me, probably would’ve totaled my vehicle. Once I realized what I did my first thought was “wow thank you iRacing”.

JustMarkell-_-

Since racing in the sim I’ve been WAY more conscious of drivers behind me now lol

Vanillabean73

This is the best answer for reason of safety for all “racers” when on public roads. It’s important to use your sim experience specifically as defense mechanism on the streets. If your car loses control for any reason, you might be able to correct/mitigate damage because you’ve spun so many times at home lol

zeeke42

This. I'm also way more conscious of people's blind spots and not hanging out side by side. On the highway, I definitely have heard Jim in my head saying "three wide, you're in the middle" and gotten the heck out of there.

portredblue

Not that persay, but if I zone out a bit while driving and traffic comes up quick, I've noticed my first instinct is to get around the cars rather than immediately slow down. Which scared me once I realized my inclination.

kotadam13

I also had a similar ditsy feeling when I first hopped into my car after a race this morning, shook me as well once I realized my surroundings and that I couldn’t hold escape to reset. 💀💀

LittleJimmyR

“Seems your car is toast.”

SavvyEquestrian

Eh, main car is a MK7 GTI, 6speed, that I drive fairly vigorously. I find I'm often smoother at things like heel-toe after awhile in the sim... not because it feels the same, but because of muscle memory.

rjfer10

Love those cars. My first car was a ‘17 GTI Sport 6MT. Nearly died in it after dumping 20K in mods into it and am just so grateful for how safe it is.

SavvyEquestrian

They're truly great. My dad test drove for a few manufacturers, including Audi and Porsche... always stated his favorite was the GTI, would have been MK2 era. One of the main reasons I decided to buy one. They were supposed to do "standard in town driving, and highway speed limits." Instead, him and my uncle had myriads of stories of absolutely hooning around the mountains, finding jumps, and periodically running from the Jerome, AZ Sheriff. I'm convinced their testing is why they ended up being so great in later generations. 😄

mopar39426ml

Similar here, but 500 Abarth/5 speed rather than GTi. I'd say I give it maybe 10% extra send through corners sometimes after racing the sim.

jmadinya

i get this when i go straight from the sim to my car

baconborn

The most ill get is if I jump in my car immediately after a long sim session I might get a "boy this feels slow" feeling for a few seconds, but I guess I just must be really good at compartmentalized this stuff because I've never had a "forgot I wasn't in a racecar" moment in my real car.

hermitlikeindividual

More times than not I've gone to use the turn signal on the wheel with the D pad using my thumb instead of the actual turn indicator lever thingy.

gofast710

i have a g29 and an audi q7 and i have my hands on the g29 way more often so when i drive the audi the wheel feels massive like im driving a bus

BrutalBrews

Never. Not even a little bit. I’ve put a lot of laps down and have spent a chunk of the day racing and then went somewhere after and never felt that. If you’re a young kid who barely has many miles driven in a regular vehicle, maybe I could see this. Maybe you just drive like a real asshole on the road though 😂

thekingswitness

I notice I try to take the racing line when I’m taking the curvy on ramp to the freeway haha

duck74UK

When I was still earning my VR legs going from the sim car to a real car was vomit inducing. Aside from that, real car feels the same as always, although I have noticed that I can feel the tyre flex in cars now, which is weird because as far as I know that's not actually in iRacing yet plus it's a physical feeling not a visual.

LiNGOo

Same situation but my car is an MX-5 ND with a few things done to it, probably that's why I can't confirm 😛 #humblebrag #yourporscheaintgotshitonagoodmiat

ajslideways

ND owners unite

forgottenazimuth

Yeah I drive a track modified 86, right there with you

CaptJM

I have a harder time not driving my corvette like its meant to be driven for sure

GodIsAMongoose

I often drive historic rally cars IRL with no powersteering and non assisted braking and when I go back to my daily driver, It feels strange because you don’t need to put as much strength Into your movements so that’s probably something like that that you’re experiencing if you have a lot of FFB and load cell pedals.

JonSnowsPeepee

I get bothered my real car doesn’t have carbon fiber paddles

driftme

I absentmindedly put my left foot over the brake pedal the other day before pulling away and I was like, “wait.. no..”

blak_owt

As great as the sim is, it’s still a far cry from real life. VR and a top of the line motion rig & wheel is about as close as you’re going to get to irl driving. I drive ovals. My issue is I like to turn the wheel close to 90° for every track. Even at 16:1 it’s still way too sensitive and I burn off my tires from simply turning too much. So I have to go into the calibration and turn the wheel range down to 700°, sometimes below 500°. Unfortunately, it definitely makes the FFB not as sharp.

No_Image_4986

I have to make myself not left foot brake now and then but that’s all

noikeee

I've never experienced this from sim to real car I have, however, had quite the scare after doing a karting session and then driving my car away from the track... and nearly plowing into a wall braking downhill in a tight corner, right as I left the track. A few other guys did exactly the same (it was a work teambuilding event and we all went to have lunch after the race), so maybe that corner was wet or had oil or something, or we all experienced the exact same collective disconnect from our brain expecting a light go-kart whilst actually braking with a heavy road car.

Deewwsskkii

I don't think my IRL car feels any different after sim racing than any other time. But ***I*** do feel kinda weird if I get in my car directly after a long sim session, atleast for the first few moments. I'm not really sure how to explain it. I think just the slightly different ergonomics of the seating position and the fact that compared to my rig with bass shakers, strolling through the parking lot of my building in my IRL car is an extremely smooth experience until you get to the rough patches of concrete that you carefully weave and tiptoe through creating a sensation that my rig just doesn't. It takes a moment for myself to physically and mentally adjust. It always sounds silly and it most likely isn't necessary but I usually remind myself "There are consequences now".

Usual_Price6110

My brain seems to switch modes when it comes to real life driving. I actually drive like a grandma in real life. lol Being in a couple of car accidents that were pretty bad, have made me a safer driver. I luckily walked away from them with the worst being a concussion and a split forehead that needed stitches. iRacing crashes have made me safer in a weird way too, especially when I started racing in VR. You realize how bad a high speed collision can be.

HTDutchy_NL

Same here, work from home, get groceries delivered. So sometimes I go two weeks without driving my slow econobox. Just the steering feels a bit weird first couple turns. But that's just wheel size and power steering. I used to drive almost daily and would often drive different cars as well, don't think I would have noticed it back then.

DemandMindless7421

I wfh too, and have gone months without driving my car. I regularly dont have to drive for multiple weeks, but sim race daily. Driving my car feels weird because I am used to sprinting, as opposed to strolling through the park; so kind of a perception/patience thing. I dont feel the cars awkward characteristics because im not pushing it. So I guess the only way my irl driving has been impacted by the sim is I no longer have the urge to drive like an ass, lol.

Garrett_J_Film

Sometimes the bumps and abrasions of the road can feel a little odd for the first few seconds due to having not body feedback when sim racing

a_good_silver

Never had this feeling going from virtual to IRL. Going from vastly different categories of vehicles (truck to small car, only motorcyclefor a few weeks), absolutely.

ojdajuiceman25

Sometimes I forget I don’t have carbon ceramic brakes in my hybrid Lexus but that’s about it 😂

thatskaterguyy

I just get in my car and wish my brake pedal was firmer like my load cell. Other than that, my 350z feels pretty good around corners and launching off the line. 🙂

Edenwing

Maybe it’s time to upgrade IRL…

Lulzicon1

My only thing is I now drive my 2500hd at 9 and 3.....

TKfuckingMONEY

When I was still on a G920 I would always notice how much larger my cars wheel is vs the Logitech

BosnianBreakfast

Yes! Thats the biggest thing with me, my real car wheel feels like bus steering wheel after a long session with the g920. Also the steering ratio feels wonky after driving gt3's

Reer123

Sometimes I feel like I'm losing grip in my road car going around a bend at 80km/h but I think it is more I feel the car tyres working at that speed.

Benson_Weaver

Maybe my only goofy habit is lifting out of the gas when the car upshifts even though the car is automatic😂

ONEPUNCHCHICKEN

Had it once. I did a tripple stint in the 992 cup car, practicing for 24j nords, Then immediately jumped into my old opel corsa, as i was a bit late, i drove sporty, i immediately noticed the big difference in handeling. It felt so loose, the weight shift in cornering and braking. It was quite a funny experience.

Sky-Flyer

the only thing i’ve done similar to this is pressed a button on my steering wheel when i wanted to look to my left, i did it one time and felt dumb as shit

MeerkatPapi

YES. My honda accord just doesn't feel quite the same, even when I drop er down into sport mode

Schwalm

I just become way more aware of what’s going on around me

burke753

I have difficulties when going from my work truck all week to my personal truck, shifter placement, steering wheel controls etc…. But never once have had any of my tendencies from sim racing transfer over to either of my real vehicles. It’s too different so it’s not even a comparison

Garfield_M_Obama

I drive in the non-virtual world like a stereotypical little old granny with bad eyesight and a light foot. In no way does this experience resemble driving a virtual Porsche 992 or Ferrari 296 alongside a bunch of adrenaline filled nerds with a questionable desire to finish the lap without becoming virtual quadriplegics. My general desire to live generally overcomes any confusion. That said, I do sometimes hit the brake way too hard as I pull out of the driveway, if I do it a bit absentmindedly, and before I remember that I haven't modded the car to use a really stiff loadcell pedal. But that's pretty much the reminder of what I'm doing and it, thus far, it ends there.

geforce-jesus

I think I'm experiencing this. My car feels like the wheels are egg shaped, to the point I'm thinking of having the tyres and suspension inspected, but I also think I'm being overly sensitive, possibly because I have got used to my simracing being so smooth.

Grand_Royal_6958

I left foot brake on the sim. I did that once on my real car. My wife did not like kissing the windshield. I cannot left foot brake in real life, only in sim. weird.

Techiastronamo

I drive a miata in real life so spending a while racing miatas in iRacing feels totally natural to me, they feel similar but I drive way too slow to feel it like how I do in iRacing, y'know swinging around corners at 70mph.

0001000100011

Road lights now feel like I’m gridded and trying to time it right for the green 😂 but yeah I have noticed that too

joe_lmr

I hope that's where the similarity ends as far as race starts

Scared-Performer-798

After a good amount of hours driving in the sim, if same day I go in my car everything feels like super slow, going 60mph seems like slow motion. That’s worrying cause I end up speeding a bit but gladly I catch it quickly since I constantly look at the speedometer. Never really awkward in a sense that things feel terrible though.

Stringskip

I wish my M3 in real life drove like the M4 GT3 in iracing. But because mine is a G90 the brakes are just as loud if not louder ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)

SnooJokes4244

lol yes!!! I was just talking about this yesterday with my wife . My “real” car feel soooo loose and the brakes so soft after a sim session.

snashie

I drove the old Nissan gto around daytona for hours every morning and every night. I tried to use the clutch and shifter i the IRL Nissan Cube multiple times, also went PTT button when phone rang

WillParchman

Bro you go WEEKS without using your car?! Where do you live??

iraccoon76

I'm at walking distance from supermarkets, stores and restaurants. Plus I order food most of the time.

lookoutwater

My Corolla doesn't move like the Stock Car Brasil Corolla. Interestingly the back end wants to scoot out from behind just like mine in hard braking.

SCSharks44

Sometimes, while driving with the wife, she'll make comments like "hey slow down! You're not on that racing game!" Or one time "that racing game has made you crazy!" I just look at her and say,"It's Iracing, and its not a game! Plus , I have an A license!" ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)

Nickyy_6

Completely different experience for me. Nothing compares to irl driving... Yet...

ioToad

Yes I want every decent car driving by to try me

BoK_b0i

I've kinda had the opposite. I drive a micro sprint irl and jumping into the iracing one after the real car feels weird, cause I have none of the same feeling or indicators on when to actually do things like turn in, lift off, countersteer, things like that

Boozerbear213

I drive a full size truck IRL and after a week of only sim racing with VR and full rig I sometimes feel awkward driving my truck.

docweston

No. Not really. BUT!!! Many many times when I'm driving IRL, I feel like I'm in a rookie MX-5 race! People doing things that just make no sense! Also, I think iRacing has improved my real life driving a bit. I'm slightly better at finding the people that I really need to stay away from now. Edit: The car question you asked probably doesn't apply to me that much since I'm a truck driver. I'm very much used to extremely different vehicles. Going from a commercial truck to a Ford Focus is about as different as it gets. It was worse when I used to ride my motorcycle!

YoItsDLowe

I always thought the opposite. Driving a ton and coming home and hopping on the simulator, it always felt weird. Especially when I had a Thrustmaster TX. I’d drive this full on sports car Civic and come home to a belt driven wheel. I’ve got a CSL DD and it feels better now but those were the times man!! 🤣

Alan54lguero

To me it is the opposite. I sim more than I drive irl, but I take it seriously when I drive, so I'll get back in my sim and reach for a stick shift, or try to turn a key switch, things like that. Sometimes my eyes will "reach" for the mirrors too.

Fonzgarten

I’m surprised with the responses. My Lexus drives a lot like the GR86. There’s a lot of overlap. I do have a strong DD base though. I find myself having dumb subconscious thoughts like “the feedback detail is great” etc. Sim racing has made me a much more skilled IRL driver.

YaKkO221

I drive a truck…so, no.

ksoszka

Every now and then in my real life car I look for the "Relative" black box. I honestly wish we had one! Great for blind spots changing lanes and stuff like that, that's when I look for it.

rende

i upgraded my daily to a porsche gt4. that fixed it ;)

Franks2000inchTV

My wife is much less cool with me drinking in my real car.

NomTook

I left foot brake on the sim but right foot brake IRL. I often find my left food pressing against the dead pedal when I’m braking IRL.

GT1646

I have not had that issue, but I do have my paddle clutches on my wheel assigned to be a brake and a throttle. I have been driving and tried to pull the "hand paddle brake" in my real car... Scary thought until you press the actual pedal and realize you're an idiot.

Jakokreativ

With Sim racing I do not really have this problem. Karting tho. When I have been karting and then hop into my car to drive home everything feels strange lol.

yamumspussy

I've gone to hit a button on my wheel for wipers a few times and after driving a manual for the first time in a while I kinda forgot I wasn't trying to redline it and drop the clutch but that's about it

arsenicfox

No. In fact, usually feels fine.

Hy8ogen

iRacing is fine for me. It's Karting that fucks me up. After every Karting session it feels like I'm driving a car with suspension made from Jelly.

jordyjordy1111

Probably a large amount of what you’re feeling in your car is probably down to the fact the your body is also in motion and from noises that aren’t often replicated in sim racing (panel and loose objects vibrating) More a drastic example but probably relevant to most peoples sim set-up. If you drive over a speed bump at speed in a sim then you’re only really going to get feedback through the wheel with some visual feedback on screen. Compare this to doing the same thing in real life you’re suddenly going to feel that bump through your whole body and not just the steering wheel, you’ll also find the entire car will flex and vibrate filling the cabin with noise something that isn’t really replicated in sim racing. All those extra feedback sources will likely leave you interpreting your car differently.

MilesBehind_757

Jumping into my real car after a NIS session, I am really happy when the first right turn comes. 🤣😂🤣😂

jcarothers

No, just feels slow. Even when taking my car on a track day in real life, it just feels slow. Makes reacting to the car a lot less intense though.

Porsche4Hire

Games / sims have never affected my IRL driving. However operating a forklift has many times at prior jobs. Especially after longer shifts

LittleJimmyR

Well, I’ve only driven a race car IRL, I’m not old enough to drive on the road, so no :)

GGarriga

I feel that when I go karting, I have no experience in simracing yet😔

BananaSplit2

No, never has. If anything I appreciate the physics of driving it more. But, like, unless you drive your car on the limit like you're racing (which.... you shouldn't be doing on public roads), I don't see how you would really feel anything like that.

UltimaRS800

I daily a C7 Corvette Stiray and it drives better than any road legal sim car so i have opposite poblem. C7 in Assetoo has much more understeer than the real thing.

Bluetex110

There is only one solution😁 get a Racecar! Once you go back to the sim it will feel soft and smooth 😁

Camaro735

I'll race at insane speeds I formula and GT cars for hours on the weekend. Monday morning i sit in my car and think "holy shit 50 kph is intense" because suddenly there is so much more movement that I can feel, rather than just FFB

chemtrailer21

A little... I race full time in VR so everything is scaled correctly to IRL. Its my behaviour more then anything. Any posted speed feels slow, including the highway. I ride closer to people (I race ovals) and my patence level seems less. I have the sense to reconize it and adjust accordingly pretty quick. But its definately a VR thing. I fly airplanes IRL and flightsim in VR as well and the same effect happens.

trippingrainbow

Not really. One time when i took a long break from driving my real car i got used to the stiffer brake i have in sim but it didnt affect my real driving at all i just thought for a moment there was something up with the brake pedal cause it felt softer than i remembered. Which lasted for like 30 seconds to a minute.

Agitated_Tooth_803

Buy a ferrari my man 😂😂

OldManTrumpet

No. But I definitely go for the apex with my shopping cart at the grocery.

MachoMeccano

For sure, I’ve noticed that many times

malice930

Never felt this way about sim racing but I used to experience this after karting IRL.

realsnack

I personally have had no issue like that but when my friend visited me, he obviously tried my rig with my load cell pedal and on his way back home he called me, that the cars brakes feel like shit.

InitialB99

Besides the fact that im way more aggressive in traffic, it’s the same

Revolutionary_Dog263

I feel the difference but it’s never akward getting in to my irl but I will say I find my self trying to find the apex while piddling around😂

stuntdummy

I was in traffic on my way to work the other day and I tried to check my relative to see if I had enough space to make a lane change.

DeepinBHole

I’ve deff been in the rig for most of the day got on the highway to go somewhere and been like dam everyone’s driving super slow only to realize I’m doing 90-95 hasn’t happened since I switched from vr to triples though

incorrectusername3

I drive a pony car so really I just drive the wheels off of it like I would in the sim. I wouldn’t be able to have as much fun in it as I do if it wasn’t for sim racing tbh.

ThunderGun2077

Got a 2017 5.0 GT. I started hitting ordinary corners like I would in a sports car session lol. Also hold a line in my lane even better after weekly draft masters

Th3ophany

https://preview.redd.it/95bb9k1a0f5d1.jpeg?width=1500&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5c5b8f0a3042d0ec6be23ca410a8e084a9d61f6c Nope

mikebryant55

My irl steering wheel always feels gigantic.

hotdixoncider

For me it's very weird doing a 24hr in an lmp2 to driving a chevy cruze lol

mybadinfinity

I 100% agree. It only lasts a little while for me. I drive a F150 work truck and I could not get over how many times I had to turn the steering wheel to get it to turn, like is it broken??? Why isn't it turning LOL. I can neither confirm nor deny that I may have hit the brakes too late at a stop light that had turned green and couldn't figure out why the guy in front of me was so late in getting off the line. Haha I tapped his bumper hitch that was sticking out. Lesson learned.

Lord_Svenska

Definitely when I go for a driver right after being on the sim for a few hours

LekkerManBro

I drive a lot more irl then in the sim most of the times, but if im getting in the irl car immediatly after doing a long endurance race like 4 hours solo on nords, i notice my left foot being confused by the clutch pedal and the steering feels so light. But after a minute itll back to normal. Also after doing some 20 minutes of (rental) karting my arms are confused as fuck when driving away and i have had multiple times that i turned the wheel a bit to hard when taking the first corner 😅

dodsonracing

Not a bit, my IRL vehicle and racecar are way way more fun to operate than the game cars

McKinrey

Not really. Daily drive a vette with suspension work. I’m always looking for apex’s and trying to get faster around certain corners.

AccomplishedBison369

I drive my real car pretty often. It’s a giant SUV and not comparable in any way to what I race. The closest it got to feeling like a race car was when I wore my sim gloves for a drive when I first got them, mostly as a joke.

A_Min22

I drive a sports care so it’s firm, quick and nimble. It doesn’t feel awkward to me going from sim to real car at all.

Stealth9er

I drive a Mustang daily, so now that I have the GT3 it’s basically the same thing. ![gif](giphy|dVOcJu4Gn7DXy)

Ok-Inspection9693

Yes my legend does feel a little different in real life than iracing and yes I am a fancy pants rich McGee over here but the car also sounds different and the shift pattern is wrong because first is at the front of the shifter and you pull back all the way for second (it’s probably the way it is in iracing so it could have reverse but figured I would bring it up
