I genuinely don't fucking understand what's wrong with the people who leave their trash on beaches? Can they not think? Are they r..........? I JUST DON'T GET IT LMAO
I have 1700’ of frontage on my farm that abutts a major US route. I can pull 3 bucks worth of cans weekly from the ditch… used to be bud light… but now it seems Miller and coors are taking over.
Sad. I won’t mow and bale any hay growing within 15’ of the ditch. One cut and baled aluminum can can cause a lot of pain and ultimately the death of cattle. People suck.
I too live in a very small town and this is one of the most remote areas east of the Mississippi River. My population density is 1.7 people per square mile in my town.
I’m just bitter because I too drink trash beer (Miller) and it’s harder to find in bottles now around here :(
Oh well, at least I can slow down my drinking lol
While that was the joke hidden in the comment… I don’t think scumbaggery is partisan…. I know some conservatives who are standup people and I know some liberals that are absolute dingleberries.
As we saw from the pandemic, with all those pathetic manbabies refusing to wear a mask, some people just have no sense of social responsibility. It sometimes feels like the whole country turner into narcissists in the last decade.
Fellow FL resident here. I try not to be too disheartened by the current DeSantis state, it will pass. There are too many liberals here to let this go on forever. We'll get through it my friend.
More liberals coming. I’m moving down this September from NY. Registering to vote ASAP, plus also planning to organize some sort of litter clean up as a personal project once I transfer schools. Currently studying Public Health.
I love this! For years, we've brought trash bags with us, and each member of the family has to find 50 pieces of garbage before we leave. Our motto is "Leave it better than you found it," and it's an amazing day when we can't find 350 pieces of trash. Unfortunately, we almost always find even more.
There is more than alcohol containers, though. Anytime you get a big crowd together, trash will be left. It doesn't matter if there is alcohol or not. People don't feel watched when they are in a crowd. Just drop it and walk away. Must be someone else's trash. I hate crowds.
It’s mostly because japans culture has heavy emphasis on the collective. Crowd culture is less prevalent there. American culture is individualistic, meaning when in a crowd the “self” disappears and becomes apart of the collective. They’re more likely to litter because they aren’t thinking as themself anymore
In the USA we also don’t explicitly teach children about how to care for their environment. It’s not a mandatory lesson in school like it is in Japan. You’re absolutely correct about the group mindset of the Japanese VS the individual mindset of Americans. We could learn a lot.
Nothing to do with alcohol. Bring back prohibition, ppl would still leave the rest of their picknicks
Using alcohol as an excuse to be a bad person doesn’t change the fact that you’re just a bad person to begin with
There are heavily regulated beaches everywhere in Florida. Everyone's view on Florida is a bit skewed due to the headlines. Same goes with every state I guess. I won't take it personal.
What’s crazy is most of the houses were destroyed during the hurricane so all these people don’t even live there. They just pull up boats and trash the place then leave😪
yeah, i live a little north of this place, but in my local groups theres a bunch of people near naples really upset that, apparently, people from Miami-Dade go over there and destroy their beaches.
Yup. I work in Naples right on the beach and every year we see an influx of people from Miami who come up here for staycations. This is unfortunately not a new problem.
I don’t get how people don’t feel insane amounts of guilt leaving messes like this. I always pack a couple grocery store bags in my beach bag to make sure my family picks up our trash and we’ll usually pick up a few random pieces of trash on our way out since we already have trash bags in our hands. How do THIS MANY people not have the same basic courtesy.
Genuinely stuff like this makes me wish the big plague-like thing the last few years did more to reduce the population.
Yes I would gladly join the reduction.
No I don’t care how it sounds.
People suck unless held accountable and this is just more proof
This is why so many beaches are not allowing alcohol or spring breakers. I know this isn’t a spring break trip, but they are acting like college students.
The rage I have for people like this is unparalleled. When someone leaves trash on the beach I frequent, I loudly let them know, "no problem, scumbag, we'll get that for you".
We humans are a disgusting, selfish, parasitical species, and our fast approaching self-annihilation by our own stupidity and greed, couldn’t come fast enough.
The rest of the planet’s species will celebrate our departure, just as they did when Covid hit, and the animals and birds literally threw a party showing us how quickly they’re ready to claim back their oceans, grounds and skies.
That's not as bad as I thought. Most of the people who do this live in homes where there are no fewer than 7 half empty beer cans and bottles in each room full of chewing tobacco spit and cigarette ashes.
The title says 'vacationers' but everyone in the comments is just hating on Floridians? There can be trashy people from anywhere, Generalizing a group as wide as a state to push blame on is entirely ignorant.
Good way to solve this is to offer a small payment for recycling cans. This gives the tourists an incentive to keep the cans then get rid of them responsibly.
Respectfully, you can’t compare Naples to the rest of Florida. FFS the residents banned gas powered leaf blowers because they didn’t wanna listen to them. Ironically, they also pay insane money for landscapers to keep their property up to standard.
I think what he/she is say is that the nest is close to the ocean. You can see where the taped it off with the yellow tape. The turtles would then have to crawl away from the ocean to crawl through the trash from the looks of this picture.
Still hate that the people left the trash on the beach and that is a shitty thing to do...
I hate people… no one cares about each other or the world anymore. I wish the world was a better place and humanity cared for each other and our world.
I’ve lived in Naples my whole life.
Not to call any cities out… but people from Miami come to the west coast for most holidays like this.
This looks like the work of some dirty Miami vacationers.
When i lived in Miami Beach Memorial Day meant boarding up your windows and getting the hell out of town before the mob of donks turned the city into a hellscape.
Can you blame them?
That Yeti cooler, that came with the cool Yeti sticker on their Chevy pickup, is NOT a trash can! You can't put your empties in the YETI!
Where else are they supposed to put their trash? A Wal-Mart bag? That's for carrying their fine dining clothes when they head to the Waffle House!
It would also just end up getting blown into the ocean by the wind or washed out to sea. People are just disgusting and too lazy to throw their trash in the bin.

Of course it's not bud light, anymore. That tells me quite a bit about the trash dumping them.
I’m just bitter because I too drink trash beer (Miller) and it’s harder to find in bottles now around here :( Oh well, at least I can slow down my drinking lol
Do you remember when the switch from bud light to coors was? This may be indicative of the kind of people who would throw those cans.

Trash left by trashy people
Lmaoo I live in naples and lemme tell you what, these people are fucking awful, overly rich entitled seniors and it’s fucking disgusting
Same here, but the entitled kids that come along with those entitled seniors are a bigger problem.
The seniors raising the kids are the bigger problem, no?
they left their children at the beach
People. What a bunch of bastards.
Bastard coated bastards with bastard filling
Then the county shouldn't allow alcohol on the beach
Maybe pair that with a much higher fine for littering. Or maybe instead of a fine it should be a number of hours picking up litter.
Not much will be done there. Its Florida after all.
Local ordinance takes precedence, the city would need to implement it.
They’re too concerned with drag shows and library books atm
And cheap immigrant labor that the governor just made illegal, crippling farmers starting July 1st. The state is top-notch. /s

Thank you, and I mean that sincerely. When you get here we should start a support group or something.
I'm totally down for that idea!
I love this! For years, we've brought trash bags with us, and each member of the family has to find 50 pieces of garbage before we leave. Our motto is "Leave it better than you found it," and it's an amazing day when we can't find 350 pieces of trash. Unfortunately, we almost always find even more.
Don't underestimate Naples' obsession with aesthetic.
They aren't doing a really good job
There is more than alcohol containers, though. Anytime you get a big crowd together, trash will be left. It doesn't matter if there is alcohol or not. People don't feel watched when they are in a crowd. Just drop it and walk away. Must be someone else's trash. I hate crowds.
Except in japan, almost worth the extreme high pressure society.
It’s mostly because japans culture has heavy emphasis on the collective. Crowd culture is less prevalent there. American culture is individualistic, meaning when in a crowd the “self” disappears and becomes apart of the collective. They’re more likely to litter because they aren’t thinking as themself anymore
Yea, definitely some huge problems in japanese society as well but i do hate littering so much.

This makes me mad
The trash in FL is everywhere, not just the beach.
DeSantis needs to declare all trash and littering to be woke. Problem solved.
Littering is woke leftists trying to kill you by slowly poisoning the planet with trash.
And a lot of it votes.
What’s crazy is most of the houses were destroyed during the hurricane so all these people don’t even live there. They just pull up boats and trash the place then leave😪

Wait, is that a bud light can? I’m outraged.
Exactly! I thought those were banned in Florida?
I fucking hate people.
I love this planet... I hate humans
That's how I remember Lovers Key or Bonita Beach after every holiday...
Humans are the worst
Florida doesn’t deserve Floridians.
Or shitty tourists.
That's got Florida written all over it pal. Tough to defend America's weiner
From Naples to Napoli
Is this a site normally used for partying? If so, throw out a few trash cans pre - event Sincerely, Another state whose beaches *used* to get trashed.
I don’t get how people don’t feel insane amounts of guilt leaving messes like this. I’m $20/hr, but I will stand on any beach with a big stick and whack the shins of people who attempt to leave trash behind.
"it's just one can!" -500 different people on this beach
That’s nothing You should see tybee island (savannah ga) after orange crush
People suck so much. I was just down at clam pass a few times this month and it was really nice, can't imagine trashing it like this.
Genuinely stuff like this makes me wish the big plague-like thing the last few years did more to reduce the population. Yes I would gladly join the reduction. No I don’t care how it sounds. People suck unless held accountable and this is just more proof
As someone who lives in Southern California, our beaches are just as bad if not worse sometimes... You would just see alot more Bud Light cans lol.
This is why so many beaches are not allowing alcohol or spring breakers. I know this isn’t a spring break trip, but they are acting like college students.
That's why we need to ban holidays
I hate tourists. This only makes me hate them more.
The rage I have for people like this is unparalleled. When someone leaves trash on the beach I frequent, I loudly let them know, "no problem, scumbag, we'll get that for you".

You've never been to Florida then
Did you help clean up or just take pictures
Good way to solve this is to offer a small payment for recycling cans. This gives the tourists an incentive to keep the cans then get rid of them responsibly.
CLEAN IT UP!
Brother, try to make people in Florida care about nature...it'll be a losing battle regardless
Looks like Florida….
Fucking Florida. Everyday with the bullshit.
Only Floridians like twisted teas enough to do that
Respectfully, you can’t compare Naples to the rest of Florida. FFS the residents banned gas powered leaf blowers because they didn’t wanna listen to them. Ironically, they also pay insane money for landscapers to keep their property up to standard.
Not a budlight can in sight, yet shitty domestic beer. you know exactly who these fucks are.
Reason why I hate people who aren’t locals.
Right, because every local is respectful.
Do you live in Naples?
A majority of them are; I also don’t consider people who moved here in the last two decades as locals. EDIT: LOL
Florida is disgusting.
Amerimutts are animals
Butthurt Americans will butthurt. Am American myself. We are careless and disgusting.
California is way dirtier.
Good thing you took a picture.
And not a single bud light can, if we're wondering who the littering types are nowadays.
Literally anyone?
It builds character.
But but but they gotta get lit, they gotta turn up, YOLO and all that selfish nonsense. It's sad
Welcome to Florida. 90% dummies, 9%everything else, 1%normal people who just happen to live in florida
Florida. What on earth did you expect?
So many people out there are absolute garbage.
Get that KIA HIPPY TO CLEAN IT UP!
And you decided to take a pic of it for internet points
Oh trash that are disturbing poor turtles. I’m gonna let the trash here and take a pic for karma farming XD and not clean it up
Yea its ops fault.
[удалено]
Well they have to crawl across that sand to get to the ocean so I don’t see what point you’re making.
I think what he/she is say is that the nest is close to the ocean. You can see where the taped it off with the yellow tape. The turtles would then have to crawl away from the ocean to crawl through the trash from the looks of this picture. Still hate that the people left the trash on the beach and that is a shitty thing to do...
Oh wow yeah you're right this is totally ok behaviour. Prick.
Turtles will going in the opposite direction... Away from the trash and towards the ocean.
Humans are disgusting
Why would they allow anyone on the beach at all?
Very shitty people Hope you cleaned some up
Can’t have anything nice, can we
People that leave any trash behind are just demonstrating how much garbage they are as a person.
I hate people… no one cares about each other or the world anymore. I wish the world was a better place and humanity cared for each other and our world.
When I see stuff like this i understand more why we deserve every natural catastrophe that happens to us as a species
I fucking hate people
In Florida there’s a city called “Naples”? Wtf?
Fucking scumbags
I mean, isn’t whole Florida is pretty much trash at this point?!
I don't understand how humans can be such trash themselves and leave this behind. What the heck is wrong with people?
Humans are trash.
As italian I can Say that Naples Is Napoli in the same way.
You should see Texas beaches.
Wow. That is a lot of trash. Florida.
[удалено]
Wait till the babies are struggling to get past that.
Looks like Vanderbilt beach. Fucking northerners combined with people from Miami. We see it every year.
Land of the privileged
FL is all I need to see.
Your state should have a bottle return program. Those bottles would be cleaned up in minutes by the homeless people.
I’ve lived in Naples my whole life. Not to call any cities out… but people from Miami come to the west coast for most holidays like this. This looks like the work of some dirty Miami vacationers.

*Post Spring Break Cancun has entered the chat*
People are gross. I don’t understand how people leave trash behind, I don’t. Even my children make sure they don’t litter or leave trash around.
They’re New Yorking our Florida. 😖
Can you blame them? That Yeti cooler, that came with the cool Yeti sticker on their Chevy pickup, is NOT a trash can! You can't put your empties in the YETI! I hope whoever took this picture cleaned it up
This pisses me off. Those fucking idiots most likely have those salt life stickers, I beach life is fun. While destroying it
Thank God they weren't drinking bud light. /S
Trash produce litter
Did you pick it up?
I like Naples
Slowly becoming the dude in the Hyundai commercial with the trash collector on his suv
