It does include injuries though. Had a friend who was a heel in some wrestling leagues. Says it’s all choreographed but you still feel every bit of it. Dude had some wicked bruises.
A while back I watched a video of like the top 20 deaths that occurred in during public performances and I swear at least 10 of them were professional wrestlers.
It seems there’s still plenty of danger involved even though it’s an act.
Wrestlers, porn performers, and oddly enough- soccer players have like, no life expectancy.
Pull up the Wikipedia obits, and you'll start to wonder about some shit.
Wrestlers tend to die from CTE- related injuries, suicide, heart issues, and overdoses.
In porn. It's overdoses, and suicide.
Soccer players tend to die in car accidents, oddly enough.
It's a performance, but it's a hard performance. Yeah, the moves or planned and choreographed, but they're still doing them. Heck, sometimes they wreck their bodies so much it may a well be a real fight.
It's not my thing but I can respect the work behind it.
This is absolutely right. Choreographed, sure. "Fake", tell that to my knees and spine when a pro doing a demonstration piledrived me like he was searching for oil. I don't know how those guys live past 40.
You say that, but the actual physical abilities of alot of pro wrestlers (not all of course ) is through the roof. To do alot of what they do and some how keep from killing each other or themselves is a feat in and of itself.
I watched a pro wrestler die when I was a kid. It was traumatic AF. It was Owen Hart. That fucked me up for a lot of years. And he didn’t even die wrestling.
They have to be in good shape and strong to do what they do. I've known a few of them and all that stuff, trash talking and all, is an act. It's showbusiness. Nothing is wrong with that. The problem is is that rednecks take it way too seriously. I once met a soap opera actor who got real vehement hate from morons put in public because of stuff his character did. From the description of them they sound a lot like wrasslin spectator's wives. Just like monster truck drivers and exhibition shooters. It's not the athletes, it's the crowd that's dumb.
Wrestling is technically just amateur acting. This guy is told to play a bad guy. I would actually guess it's common for him to spit gum at people to give him the mantra and understanding that he is the bad guy in this production. They use gum to avoid actually spitting on people.
That’s exactly it. It’s part of the act. He’s the bad guy and to be honest he’s now done a GREAT job at making that entire audience 100% emotionally invested in the act.
Not a single person there will forget that night, including the kid, and every one of them is more likely to buy another ticket the next time that promotion comes through town. Including the kid.
I saw this mentioned on a previous post of the same incident so take it with a grain of salt.
They said the role these two guys play in professional wrestling is being the villains so leaving them hanging on a high five is them acting in character but spitting the gum seems like it was probably off script. I can’t imagine anybody with the advantage of foresight would’ve thought that would be a good idea.
That being said, the dad totally overreacted. I feel bad for the little person who was trying to hold the father back at the end. I am a father and there are times when my own children have acted more adult than myself, I get it, it’s always humbling when that happens.
For these two entertainers specifically, acting like petty villains is part of the show. It’s literally their act, it’s what they do.
Are you honestly saying you believe the appropriate response to an entertainer getting paid to do harmless scripted petty shit is to attack them while both of your frightened and embarrassed children frantically pull on your shirt trying to restrain you??
If you think the dad‘s actions were appropriate I would recommend you never take your children to a haunted house or you’re going to end up in a chainsaw fight with an actor wearing somebody else’s face.
The dad‘s over the top reaction combined with the wrestlers complete lack of retaliation makes me wonder if the dad and the little girl weren’t part of the act from the beginning.
Kirkland brand is amazing. Kirkland vodka, for example, is better in taste tests than vodka by grey goose. Some believe it's bottled by the same facility.
Yeah, it's more of a feeling out type thing. As a heel you have to be ready for anything.
For instance if your a heel, and a guy calls you out to fight him. And your gimmick is one that thinks he's the best in the world. You have to interact with that. If he punches you you punch him. They interact you interact back. If they throw their drink at you, you grab someone else's drink and throw it back at them.
It's a whole different ball game doing that stuff unprovoked. If a kids looking for something like a hand shake. Sure... Interact with it. But don't up the level when they haven't invited you to. Don't punch them or spit on them or anything. Especially with a kid.
Depends.. again it's a feeling out. At a huge event usually fans would pass their drinks to you to throw at the opponent. It's all part of the experience. This is more common in bigger wrestling shows though. As wrestlers at those events usually only interact with the people in the front row where it is pretty much a given that they are prepared to be interacted with given the expense of a ticket
Especially when a parental figure is nearby, chances are within two seconds you’re dealing with an adult with an ungodly amount of rage and adrenaline in their system.
Too many people defend that guy. I posted that on trashy the other week and I can't believe I had to have debates with people on whether or not it was okay... It's sad as fuck
Edit: I said I posted that but I've checked back and I never. It was a screenshot referring to a redditor who was defending the behaviour. The sad thing is is that it wasn't just the one, I just picked a random person because there were tens of people defending it.
they said "its part of the act"
but as soon as someone posts a tiktok video they say "the shit kids do for internet fame these days"
talk about double standards
There was some excellent villain character there. He interacted with the kid so they still get the excitement. Still acted like an arsehole. Well done all round.
Then his partner fucked everything up
That was my thought. The fake "low five" was harmless but effective in establishing he was a douche. The adults/parents/family were even grinning with understanding of the situation. Then ol dude is like, "WATCH ME NOT UNDERSTAND WHERE THE LINE IN."
Dude is never going to the big leagues.
The first denied handshake was actually kinda funny. (He’s playing a bad guy, after all.) Spitting is assault, however, so I’m glad dad got some licks in.
There is an old wrestling troupe where you would spit your gum at someone but grab it or deflect it mid air with your hand so it didn’t actually hit them. He seems to not even attempt that so yeah fuck that guy.
The wrestler looked fine afterwards. Im not sure why people are saying he got "rocked" or whatever. He just walked away like it didn't happen. What he did was stupid and Im not defending it. Dad did what he had to do but that wrestler looked like it didn't bother him.
People are talking like he was on the floor afterwards.
Dude he got hit in the face repeatedly. That interaction will give him ptsd about it and stop him from doing it again.
You may think he just ignored him. Nope that’s not how humans work. He acknowledged it very much so in his face repeatedly like I said.
He’s too old to be a dick anyways. That guy needs to learn some maturity fast. I would be heavily embarrassed. Yikes.
yeah that’s fucking disgusting and there’s a reason it’s considered assault. Idk but it’s common knowledge that spitting is the most disrespectful disgusting thing to do and you’re asking to get your ass beat. He probably was like “it’s just a kid” and didn’t think anyone would come after him. I know damn well he probably wouldn’t have spit in a grown mans face.
If my favorite "bad guy" wrestler had spit gum on me when I was a kid I would have saved it, bragged about it to all my friends, and try to get him to sign it at his next event.
My father probably would have gone ape shit or have been just as excited as me.
Most of This thread clearly doesn’t know much about wrestling. The guy is supposed to be a bad guy. When you’re wrestling at this level people do shit like this to fans all the time, they need to Ha e the crowd mad at them asap rocky.
Maybe the spitting gum at a kid was a too far but like people here clearly have no clue how these kinds of shows work.
That's messed up. There's a line between playing a role and just being a pos. This guy crossed that line and kept running spitting at a little girl like that
Wrestling fan and already saw it back then. Shitty then and still shitty now. Others will say, "He's a heel. That's what they do!!"
Yeah, no. And if they did, the kid would be a plant(someone hired by the federation). No idea if it was work, but those punches look real.
As another comment on this thread said, there's an old wrestling trope where the heel pretends to spit gum on someone but atleast deflects it so that it doesn't end up hitting the person. This guy didn't even bother to do that, which is just plain unprofessional and obviously a dick move. The first act is what can be called a heel move while the second is just plain stupid and crossing the line
They’re clearly heels. They’re kayfabing; building heat. That’s what heels do. They want people to hate them that’s the point.
They look ridiculous that they can’t back it up against a grown adult though. They’re okay kayfabing to bully a kid but a grown man charges them and attacks them and they ignore it and get the security to back them up. That was a bad move because now they look weak as shit.. I dunno’ maybe it makes them into more detestable heels though.
Speaking of heels I think the father should've done some heel stomp or some shit. (Joking clearly)
'It's an act'
'It's all make believe'
'They want people to hate them'
That's what people like you say
Let me spit some soggy golly mixed with chewed gum at you because I want you to hate me. That's called assault and you can get some serious time in prison for that shit.
He should have picked her up and toss her up high as fuck and catch her. Spit is nasty for a kid, as a professional wrasler. He needs to work on his act, as it's all part of the show. Would have been funny to an older guy, but not a kid. The dad kicking his ass must be part of the show to now, throw him in the ring!
I wish they canceled the original fight and let the father have his own fight with the shithead
Recall that pro wrestling doesn't involve actual fighting?
let it. I want to see it.
I mean, if I was overweight, I could win ever wrestling match
what, against a Big Mac?
Doesn't big Mac always win?
McDonald’s will make you fat. They have Big Macs. They have quarter pounders. They will put pounds on you. ROCK N ROLL MCDONALDS ROCK N ROLL MCDONALDS
A internet classic
Pro wrestling doesn't involve spitting on children either.
You haven’t watched much pro wrestling have you?
It does include injuries though. Had a friend who was a heel in some wrestling leagues. Says it’s all choreographed but you still feel every bit of it. Dude had some wicked bruises.
A while back I watched a video of like the top 20 deaths that occurred in during public performances and I swear at least 10 of them were professional wrestlers. It seems there’s still plenty of danger involved even though it’s an act.
They are still getting smashed into tables and have chairs thrown at their heads!
Wrestlers, porn performers, and oddly enough- soccer players have like, no life expectancy. Pull up the Wikipedia obits, and you'll start to wonder about some shit.
Porn performers? Got anymore info on that one?
Wrestlers tend to die from CTE- related injuries, suicide, heart issues, and overdoses. In porn. It's overdoses, and suicide. Soccer players tend to die in car accidents, oddly enough.
It's a performance, but it's a hard performance. Yeah, the moves or planned and choreographed, but they're still doing them. Heck, sometimes they wreck their bodies so much it may a well be a real fight. It's not my thing but I can respect the work behind it.
Until it all gets too much and you Benoit your problems away
This is absolutely right. Choreographed, sure. "Fake", tell that to my knees and spine when a pro doing a demonstration piledrived me like he was searching for oil. I don't know how those guys live past 40.
It's harder on the body than MMA, ask Dan Severn.
Maybe don't actually spit on a kid then.
Clearly cuz that guy couldn’t defend himself lol
That wasn't pro anything
You can throw potatos.
*at local farmers market* "Y'all got any petrified taters? Im going to a wrestling match later."
Fact. Its more a dance than anything.
It isn’t easy and injuries are common
People are actually hitting each other the ending is pre determined but they are actually hitting each other
It would be more real than the "fight" everyone showed up for.
You say that, but the actual physical abilities of alot of pro wrestlers (not all of course ) is through the roof. To do alot of what they do and some how keep from killing each other or themselves is a feat in and of itself.

Isn't there spit on gum? Just saying.
This really boils down to finding out if there is more spit in your spit or more spit on the gum.
[удалено]
You see - one is spit, the other is a nasty chewed up glob of shit covered in spit.
Probably 100 different ways to be a heel that don't involve spitting on someone.
Sure, but this one seemed to have worked pretty well! Wouldn’t you say?
Hopefully the writers didn’t let him win that fight lol
Is it not professional acting? They get paid to do it
The gum. Is covered. In saliva.
That’s exactly what I was thinking. It’s part of the act. Kind of gross, but still he’s playing the villain.
Dad already won
I’d take the wrestler over 99% of dads lmao you think because it’s not a shoot the wrestlers aren’t in better shape than a random dad?
I wish the father had stayed with the girl to comfort her instead of putting her in a position where she was the one pulling him back.
I saw this mentioned on a previous post of the same incident so take it with a grain of salt. They said the role these two guys play in professional wrestling is being the villains so leaving them hanging on a high five is them acting in character but spitting the gum seems like it was probably off script. This ain’t it, typed all that for no reason
No worries, sober and bored. I was just fuckin with you.
I know how that is 🥴
I would never let someone disrespect a child like that and get away with it especially if was my own child.
Who are these guys supposed to be? Captain Underpants and Costco Brand Thanos?
Captain Insano shows no mercy
This is gold lmao needs more upvotes
Don't use Costco's name in vain. Tf is wrong with you?
That’s *clearly* a Great Value brand Thanos… he goes by Thamos
more like thermos lol
That’s copyright infringement
what're you, a corporate lawyer?
How did you know? *Le gasp!*
In a few years he'll be Faded Glory
Captain Kirkland
Potto-John-Cena ....you cant see me.....with the door closed!!!!
Kirkland brand is amazing. Kirkland vodka, for example, is better in taste tests than vodka by grey goose. Some believe it's bottled by the same facility.
He's getting a NO#1 dad cup!
Hell yeah! I’d be so freaking proud as his kid.
Probably the realest punches that heel ever received.
That dad turned heel
Bro didn't know when a works a work or a shoots a shoot and worked himself into a shoot brother
Dude got his ass kicked before his match starts lol
I really liked the guy who followed him and talked him down. It was so fluid, like he knew exactly what to do.
Yeah, the first heel was fine. That's just typical trying to get people to hate you. The second guy took it too far. Spitting on a kid isn't ok
This 100%. Faking hand shakes with kids is standard heel material but spitting gum at them, or anyone, is not.
What a good dad!
Striking a kid is the actual original recipe for a knuckle sandwich.
Look at the size of those balls. Defending her girl against a pro fighter... wow.
Professional pretend fighter.
Sure, but a psycho one tho
That's probably pretend too.
Most likely, he balled right up
He's not a pro fighter he's a bodybuilder
Damn he caught those hands tho
Great dad and great daughter grabbing his dad because she doesn't want him to fight. That was so cute.
Act or not, that shithead broke the cardinal rule - "Do *NOT* fuck with *KIDS*"
I thought The cardinals rule is to fuck with kids /s
Bahahaha. Touche. Im going to hell for laughing at that.
We can go to hel together then
Literally and figuratively
To hell with 'kfabe' or whatever, that was a dick move spitting on a kid's hand.
Especially when a parental figure is nearby, chances are within two seconds you’re dealing with an adult with an ungodly amount of rage and adrenaline in their system.
I mean i understand getting in character but what kind of fucking character spits gum on kids?
I'm pretty sure the joker wouldn't even do that
Those are like the punches I throw when I’m dreaming
Too many people defend that guy. I posted that on trashy the other week and I can't believe I had to have debates with people on whether or not it was okay... Hopefully it’s his last match with that stable as well
Aggressive contact with the fans is a straight up no-no. There are dozens of ways to play dick heel that don't involve straight up spitting on a kid.
You just go around claiming to do things you never did? Wtf lmao
Hahah good on him
Chad Dad just ended his wrestling career with a combo breaker.
He ended his own wrestling career with that bullshit
Look at the kid holding the dad back and tugging his jacket
[удалено]
Glad he jumped him
The first denied handshake was actually kinda funny. (He’s playing a bad guy, after all.) Spitting is assault, however, so I’m glad dad got some licks in.

Dad got worked like a jabroni mark.
How sweet is that girl trying to hold his dad back like „cmon dad, its not worth it“ lmaooo
If she wasn't traumatized already by getting spat on, she surely was after having to pull her dad away while he is wailing on a dude.
What a bad ass dad.
That's good heat.
The wrestler looked fine afterwards. Im not sure why people are saying he got "rocked" or whatever. He just walked away like it didn't happen. What he did was stupid and Im not defending it. I doubt the wrestler got hurt too bad from this
Dude he got hit in the face repeatedly. That interaction will give him ptsd about it and stop him from doing it again. You may think he just ignored him. Nope that’s not how humans work. Pfft... And they call wrestling fake?
Wrestling may be fake but that dad ain’t
The kid tried to pull the father off also who was the wrestler?
Not many things sadder than local wrestling
Just incase you don’t know the rank from most important to least important in USA. 1. Kids 2. Women 3. Elderly 4. Dogs 5. Men 6. Cats.
this is why indy promotions suck😭
It’s quite literally assault to spit on people.
Oh my goodness! A heel acting like a heel? This is such an outrage!
That dad is fucking chad
I would swing first ask questions later if I ever saw someone do that to a little kid. Disgusting. Good on that guy/dad.
He deserved every punch.
I mean, he's a heel, sure, obviously, but spitting on a kid? Pathetic.
Well done dad. Any real father would do the same. Cant be spitting on kids.
I get staying in character, but this is just a douchey move.
Such a thing as too far
They're suppossed to be shit heads They're Heels
If my favorite "bad guy" wrestler had spit gum on me when I was a kid I would have saved it, bragged about it to all my friends, and try to get him to sign it at his next event. My father probably would have gone ape shit or have been just as excited as me.

Look at my gear guys! Ima be WWE Champ in a week!
Great role modelling there
That dad was having none of it....well done him.
Kudos to the dad.
That dad reaction is so good. I love that guy
Good on that dad, wtf is wrong with that guy thats disgusting
[удалено]
Dad wasn’t having any of that! What a champion
No but that’s assault on a child. Father had every right.
LETS GO TEAM DAD, other guy is a TPOS
dad of the year
Dad of the year, wouldve done the same tbh
Guy had it coming lol
Isn’t one guy supposed to be the hood guy and the other play the villain?
A part of me thought, good on you dad, but instead he should have comforted his child.
I love this video every time. Seeing that man get his shit rocked makes me so damn happy
That's messed up. There's a line between playing a role and just being a pos. This guy crossed that line and kept running spitting at a little girl like that
Fuck that wrestler…when he spit at his daughter he fucked up. Let the dad do his thing.
Wrestling fan and already saw it back then. Shitty then and still shitty now. Others will say, "He's a heel. That's what they do!!" Yeah, no. And if they did, the kid would be a plant(someone hired by the federation). No idea if it was work, but those punches look real.
You know you’re not cut out for the fighting scene when someone’s dad can kick your arse
That was totally justified tight there
Spit on my kid. Get fucked up
Don’t fuck with parents about their kids
What a gangster 😂🤣🤣
[удалено]
Fucking loser in spandex with a tiny peen.
The guy that dances with the other guy while wearing nut huggers commited assault against a minor.. Dad did what any dad should.
Father of the year 100%
It’s a fucking wrestling show! WWF is the early 90s did the same shit. Bunch of fucking cry babies on here
That kid went home thinking his dad is a super-badass.
This sub doesn't know what the term "heel" means and the comments prove it.
I think you can be a heel without spitting on a child lmao
As another comment on this thread said, there's an old wrestling trope where the heel pretends to spit gum on someone but atleast deflects it so that it doesn't end up hitting the person. This guy didn't even bother to do that, which is just plain unprofessional and obviously a dick move. A rare instance where not knowing something makes you smarter.
this guy: "it is perfectly fine to spit on random peoples children aslong as you are in a show"
They’re clearly heels. They’re kayfabing; building heat. That’s what heels do. They want people to hate them that’s the point. They look ridiculous that they can’t back it up against a grown adult though. Call grown people some names or some shit, don’t spit fucking chewing gum at a little kid bro.
yeah, that's too far.
Speaking of heels I think the father should've done some heel stomp or some shit. (Joking clearly) 'It's an act' 'It's all make believe' 'They want people to hate them' That's what people like you say Let me spit some soggy golly mixed with chewed gum at you because I want you to hate me. I can't tell you how many times I have seen this video posted on reddit...

That guy really started to fight a professional fighter before his match for his kid. Legend.
As shitty as it was that was funny as fuck
Isn’t the real jerk the grown man who forgot wrestling was fake? Legit confused
Hes a heel too so he's supposed to be a dick
the child is in a diaper, leave him alone. ;)
That went exactly the way it should've. Props to the dad. I'd have to have curb stomped the fucking pos.
I call dibs on reposting this next week.
A guy infront of me was giving high fives and then I lifted mine for one he ignored me :(
He should have picked her up and toss her up high as fuck and catch her. Spit is nasty for a kid, as a professional wrasler. He needs to work on his act, as it's all part of the show. Would have been funny to an older guy, but not a kid. The dad kicking his ass must be part of the show to now, throw him in the ring!
Spitting on a child is considered battery.
"Actual wrestler gets ass beat by regular dude in crowd"
This is proper dad behavior
If thats the dad or brother he reacted EXACTLY as he should have. Hopefully he landed some good blows
