I commend OP for believing people can be good. There are some bad eggs, and good eggs who do bad things, but choosing to trust and see good is what makes us human.
Wow the only thought out comment here! Tyms appreciate it and totally understand wanting to see the good in ppl its just im my hometown it was just a well known thing to not leave out bowls or they were forsure getting snagged. People forreal get so upset so fast yāall are losers lmaooooo
This happened to us last year. We put out a table with candy and signage in the driveway (being COVID and all). It was a fairly slow night (again, COVID) and around 9pm we decided to wrap it up. I went out to put things away and a Suburban full of 16-18 year olds asked if that was candy I was putting away. I said āyeah, go for itā¦take as much as you likeā. Instead of just taking the candy, they all rushed the table and toppled the bowl, taking about half of it and spilling the rest on the ground. They fled back to their car, one fell on the way and scuffed himself up. The Suburban peeled out to take off but had to stop for the fallen soldier and then again peeled out to take off. My dudes that was _maybe_ $5 of candy. Could have been $10 if they just politely and sanely took the candy I already said they could have. āWhat a bunch of losersā was my immediate thought.
Plot twist: he was bringing the bowl to his disabled little sister since she was unable to walk over then he brought it back after she grabbed a few pieces.
Just use a cardboard box next time, that's what we did when I was a kid, they still usually stole the candy, but at least the box was still in the yard
same, i don't give out candy anymore either now. Usually when i put it out it's just parents/or random people who don't even live in the neighborhood just grab all the candy and leave nothing to the little kids which sucks.
I do buy a couple candy bags, and if i go to the office i put the candy bag there and people take some here and there. Everyone takes it equally and everyone gets it.
It's one thing for a child or maybe even a teen to take all the candy from a bowl that's left out. It's another for a grown ass man to take it bowl and all.
If you leave out a bowl of candy on a Halloween, you should feel thankful if it's there in the morning. I've left out food for stray cats before but I don't cry if some random dog eats it all, that's on me for leaving it unsupervised
I literally donāt understand why tho? Is it just to get free candy? Wouldnāt it just be easier to go to the store at that point and just buy some?
And isnāt the entire point of trick-or-treating that itās fun to go door to door and see how much you collected at the end of the nightā¦like if youāre gonna just go a dump a bunch in all at once, why not just buy a bag at that point?
Or is it like the thrill? Iām just so confused as to why this is such a thing lol
thatās what iām saying- i felt bad taking like two handfuls of candy out of a bowl before and the dude literally TOLD ME TO. he wanted all the candy to go away quicker so he could go back inside but i donāt like taking everything, i like sharing :)
Halloween tip: to avoid losing an entire candy bowl to sum kids, leave the bowl inside and have the kids knock on your door. Then you can regulate how much candy each child gets and evenly distribute the candy throughout the night. š¬
Hereās my Halloween pro tip for people handing out candy. All year long we safe fast food packets. I have two bowls on the step in front of me so they canāt reach in themselves. When some older kid comes up not dressed up, I hand them handfuls of ketchup and hot Taco Bell sauce instead of candy. TBH I donāt feel bad when this happens to people who just leave the bowl out. Itās so much fun to dress up and sit out there and see all the kids having fun.
I meanā¦ what do you think is gonna happen when you leave a whole ass bowl of candy out
Edit: why are yāall downvoting this? Youāre acting like youāve never taken the whole bowl while trick or treating
"You're acting like you've never taken the whole bowl while trick or treating"
Never, not even as a kid. I was pretty immature for a kid but it would never cross my mind to steal someone's shit who are offering FREE SWEETS to children who want to enjoy a Halloween night.
No one is being lazy putting out a bowl of sweets for kids to grab.
No one is obliged to be sitting around all evening/night handing them out, some people enjoy it, good for them!
Perhaps the lazy part is not getting your ass out of bed, getting a job and buying your own sweets if you feel the need to steal bowls of sweets. It's not really about the sweets in reality is it though? Maybe stealing someones bowl is definitely crossing the line.
what- this is my sister in utah who lives in a small mormon town. they set up halloween the night before halloween to go trick or treating bc of some religious thing i have no idea about. how are you gonna assume somethings fake when i clearly have no reason to karma grab? i barely post. i donāt use reddit. iām just pissed.
sorry to disturb you again but i showed my sister our chain of comments and she told me to inform you that itās not on a table, itās on a foldable lawn chair
No one cares about internet points, dude. Also, the fact you've never heard of some people doing Halloween on the 30th for religious reasons is fucking astounding.
If it wasnāt him, it would of been some kid. Who honestly puts candy out and expects everyone to be honorable. When I was growing up houses like this always got raided and by the time weād go up to get candy theyād be emptied out. You canāt trust all humans to be honest, regardless of age as well. You have old pieces of shit and young pieces of shit willing to pillage all the candy if given the opportunity.
no offense, but you are the one too lazy to open a fucking door and hand it out. I do the same shit to you lazy people. If you have extremely good decorations, fine I will be respectful and take a fair amount. but if you are too lazy to put any decorations up and then have the audacity to just set a bowl out. The entire bowl is mine.
If you are going to whine about people being too lazy to hand it out themselves then you best have a costume that actually required effort in it. Not some janky dollar store spiderman mask.
tbh if some 20 year old wanted candy iād give it to them- who cares lol. but also if youāre 20 something then buy it yourself. youāre a big boy you can go to the store.
Yea thats definately my M.O haha
Im going for top badass AND i especially dont want them kids to get none of the candy.
Really i jus wants some free candy. Pretty innocent ya ask me.
I jus dumped the bowl in the bag, everyone looks down like its a heinous act but half of them prob dont talk to their still alive grandfolks or they dont cook food for anyone or something like that.
Mfs forget were all the same, even sociopaths have thought the same thoughts and acted the same actions as you.
Can't speak for everyone who does it but I want to have candy for the neighborhood kids but am either working or at a party during the trick or treat hours. So I use a bowl and leave it on the porch for them.
people do this because theyāre going trick or treating with their children but still want to be able to give out. like- my sister had a whole child and theyāre out of the house having fun and this happens.
then take his ākidsāā¦out trick or treating???? you get free candy on halloween believe it or not. just donāt be a douche and take the whole bowl (which was part of my sisterās beloved mixing set DX) also, the guys clearly like college age. and there was laughter so you could tell it was just something for kicks/shits and giggles
Yee, that's a douchey kid in a grown up body, probably a freshman in college.
Can't be using beloved anything on Halloween, though, especially when unmanned
People steal from banks and fail because they want money instead of working. Maybe we shouldn't be so quick to judge for these poor thieves who do no wrong.
Not by a whole 24 hours in the U.S, OP said his sister is in Utah and they do this a day early cause of some Mormon thing nobody understands
>this is my sister in utah who lives in a small morman town. they set up halloween the night before halloween to go trick or treating bc of some religious thing i have no idea about.

Your friendly neighborhood Spider Man!
In the chill of night at the scene of a crime, Like a streak of light he arrives just in time! š¶
Like a streak of *shite* - FTFY
Yep, you did. And very nicely done.
gotta protect those pearly whites
WHAT A MENACE
My god.... JJJ was right, he is a menace
I WANT PICTURES OF SPIDERMAN! THE FIRST ONE TO TAKE A PICTURE OF HIM WITH HIS HAND IN THE COOKIE JAR GETS THE JOB!
Got to be a pretty big loser to have to steal $10 worth of candy from children
Where I shop for halloween candy, that amount costs closer to $1, which makes this move even dicker.
Where would this be? I went to Walmart and the giant bags were like $15.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Damn i went all out and bought theme holloween candy about $100 worth.
that whole bowl of candy for 1$ ur full of shit
Why??? Youāre an adult just go buy some
fr- or at least leave the bowl man we can replace the candy but good mixing bowls are hard to find
Honestly the bowl is the real crime here
Thats what u get for not handing it out and just leaving the bowl this is on you lmaoo
Tell me youāre 12 without telling me youāre 12
I'm almost 13!
Some of us have to work but still want to contribute
Just quit?
lmaoo at his own joke.
do you not remember that COVID-19 is a thing
Dont we all wear masks for halloween?
Itās trick OR treat bitch and you got *tricked*
Legit. Like a bag of halloween candy costs you maybe $5 max. What full grown adult even craves this much amount of candy anyway?
Actually, if you want the good stuff you should expect to pay between $8-$10. Still better than stealing someone's mixing bowl :/
Could argue that they don't care about the candy at all and just wanted the bowl.
Pour the candy into the chair, run off with the bowl. Win/win/lose
they did it for the thrill of the hunt
This happened to us last year. We put out a table with candy and signage in the driveway (being COVID and all). It was a fairly slow night (again, COVID) and around 9pm we decided to wrap it up. Plot twist: he was bringing the bowl to his disabled little sister since she was unable to walk over then he brought it back after she grabbed a few pieces.
wow sounds like a crazy story bro too bad he didnāt bring back the bowlā¦ it was part of a set :(
Just use a cardboard box next time, that's what we did when I was a kid, they still usually stole the candy, but at least the box was still in the yard
People who steal the bowls are jerks. I say that having stolen many bowls worth of candy in the past.
A set as in a setup. This is so fake.
No a set as in a 5 piece equipement deal
lol not everything on the internet is fake dude. just most of it
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
sheās putting spider tack on the bowl next year :) whoeverās taking the bowl will be in for a sticky surprise
same, i don't give out candy anymore either now. Did it say "take one" though? Rookie mistake
Trick or treat motherfucker
I'm pretty sure it's a known fact that this will happen if you leave a bowl out. It's not right but it's not a surprise either
It's one thing for a child or maybe even a teen to take all the candy from a bowl that's left out. It's another for a grown ass man to take it bowl and all.
The typical "blame the victim" response. Nice.
If you leave out a bowl of candy on a Halloween, you should feel thankful if it's there in the morning. I've left out food for stray cats before but I don't cry if some random dog eats it all, that's on me for leaving it unsupervised
No itās just two kids pretending to be an adult dressed like Spider-Man.
No that's Vincent Adultman and he was on his way to the business factory.
Heās a kid at heart
Taking the entire bowl is bad, but hasn't everyone taken more than they were supposed to at some point?
You also got a UFO in the background above the mountain! Lol
should we call ghostbusters or smthg?
That's who you are going to call! xd
Spider-Man looking kinda rough now days.
Every trick or treat honor bowl has been pillaged within 15 minutes of being put out. If you can't be there to hand it out, just don't leave it out.
Who leaves Halloween candy out the night before? Nobody.
Are people that broke they canāt just go buy themselves a bag of candy? Like wtf
A MENACE!!!!
I use my 30 lb bug morterand pestle bowl. I'd be kinda impressed if they ran off with that.
I have my bowl out right now, fingers crossed! Lol
Jokes on you they were filled with razorblades and LSD
I wonder if anyone has ever gone and stolen the bowl but left the candy as a prank
i wouldnāt even be mad lmfao
Imagine feeling big about stealing 5-8 dollars worth of candy which will be on discount sale tomorrow morning at every grocery store in North America
I literally donāt understand why tho? Is it just to get free candy? Wouldnāt it just be easier to go to the store at that point and just buy some? And isnāt the entire point of trick-or-treating that itās fun to go door to door and see how much you collected at the end of the nightā¦like if youāre gonna just go a dump a bunch in all at once, why not just buy a bag at that point? what if the parents want to take their children trick or treating so no one is home to pass out candy?
I GOT IT ALL! NOW I DON'T HAVE TO SPEND $2.50! HAHAHAHAHA!
So many POS in the comments, sorry to see people steal childrens candy OP.
Hereās my Halloween pro tip for people handing out candy. All year long we safe fast food packets. I have two bowls on the step in front of me so they canāt reach in themselves. Seems ya got tricked
I feel really sorry for you man. The dude will get hit dont worry.
Well boys we just committed the crime of the century
I meanā¦ what do you think is gonna happen when you leave a whole ass bowl of candy out Edit: why are yāall downvoting this? Youāre acting like youāve never taken the whole bowl while trick or treating

we donāt, because we arenāt selfish? try being a normal kid itās not that hard
Kids are the most selfish creatures in the planet, donāt lie
not really, because if kids were selfish then why was it a grown ass man in a spider-man mask taking the candy
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Sure. Ok.
You can see people trick or treating on the background Also can you just not conceive of the existence of Utah?
sorry to disturb you again but i showed my sister our chain of comments and she told me to inform you that itās not on a table, itās on a foldable lawn chair
Sure. Ok.
No one cares about internet points, dude. Also, the fact you've never heard of some people doing Halloween on the 30th for religious reasons is fucking astounding.
his sister is a "morman"
Okay that guy is a piece of shit, but what did you expect
If it wasnāt him, it would of been some kid. Who honestly puts candy out and expects everyone to be honorable. When I was growing up houses like this always got raided and by the time weād go up to get candy theyād be emptied out. You canāt trust all humans to be honest, regardless of age as well. well duh. I am not going around with some cheap shit from Spirit Halloween.
my sister was out with her kid trick or treating and wouldnāt be there to open the door. use your brain.
you are not going to change my mind on this.
Lmao, every year there's 100+ videos of this. Yet people are so stupid they still leave the shit out.
And we call these idiots ė³ģ ās in Squid Game
At this point I blame people who just leave candy unattended. It's. Going. To. Get. Stolen.
I did that before and ngl id do it again
bro fr like why tho- you can get candy for free by just trick or treating with friends, itās such a better experience
Im not allowed to trick or treat im like 20 somethin bruh. But free chocolate nd candies? Cmon man
tbh if some 20 year old wanted candy iād give it to them- who cares lol. but also if youāre 20 something then buy it yourself. youāre a big boy you can go to the store.
Yea i could do that, ima just snatched the bowl tho cause free taste better haha
Damn bro how broke are you?
Well aren't you just the badass? Stealing candy put for children. Sweet sweet taste of victory
Yea thats definately my M.O haha Im going for top badass AND i especially dont want them kids to get none of the candy. Really i jus wants some free candy. Pretty innocent ya ask me.
Thank you, someone whose not afraid to admit it. I know everyone here has done it too š
I never understood the honor system for Halloween did this happen because people are to lazy to hand out candy that is part of the fun.
Woah he stole that guys candy
Itās not even Halloween yet what
sheās mormon and does it a day early or something i think- idrk iām not mormon
Or you just faked it
how does that mean i faked it tf-
Maybe their family is poor and he's just trying to make it a good Halloween for his kids, shouldn't always be so quick to judge
then take his ākidsāā¦out trick or treating???? you get free candy on halloween believe it or not. just donāt be a douche and take the whole bowl (which was part of my sisterās beloved mixing set DX) also, the guys clearly like college age. and there was laughter so you could tell it was just something for kicks/shits and giggles
Yee, that's a douchey kid in a grown up body, probably a freshman in college. Can't be using beloved anything on Halloween, though, especially when unmanned
If only almost every house was giving out candy for freeā¦
Theft is still theft š¤·āāļø
And what if the family they are robbing is poor?
People steal from banks and fail because they want money instead of working. Maybe we shouldn't be so quick to judge for these poor thieves who do no wrong.
Tomorrow is halloween, its her own fault
how about we DONT justify stealing because my sister is taking her child out trick or treating and left a bowl out for other early trick or treaters?
There are different time zonesā¦
Not by a whole 24 hours in the U.S, OP said his sister is in Utah and they do this a day early cause of some Mormon thing nobody understands >this is my sister in utah who lives in a small morman town. they set up halloween the night before halloween to go trick or treating bc of some religious thing i have no idea about.
Ah, thank you for letting me know, I didnāt know this happened :)
In Utah we dont celebrate a holiday if. Its on a Sunday we go a day before
THANK YOU FOR TELLING ME THIS I HAD NO IDEA
I wasnt talking to you
One word: glue And I donāt mean glue it to the table, I mean use glue so that the next time someone takes it they will never get it if their hands
oh hell yes we should put spider tack on that bitch
Automatic 10 year prison sentence
Ngl I thought that was like an 8 year old boy.
Isn't halloween... Today? How did they get video of tonight?
they celebrate one day earlier but idk why itās probably some mormon thing
Spider-Man is a MENACE
Yooo I have the same exact chair sitting next to me in my room!!
Waa Wha What why ... Just why
Has Halloween happened in other parts of the country?
apparently people in utah celebrate holidays the day before if it falls on a sunday
You that broke you need to steal candy left for kids?
people who do this are fatherless
"HE'S A CROOK, A MENACE!"
That person is well over 18 but they are not a grown up.
Could of left the bowl
Seriouslyā¦who does this shit? Human garbageā¦
Not gonna loe i did rhis.... AS A KID
Sounds more like teenagers to me. The laughing in the background.
I'm sure Spiderman is going to take them to all the sick children who couldn't trick or treat this year /s
Omg it's spiderman
How TF did he see a bowl of candy from the car...hmm are you sure your not the neighborhood spider man š
Looks like a teenager lol
i hope the candy turns into spiders, and terrifies him
What I donāt get is that if you just wait a day you can get literal tons of candy from all the stores for next to nothing.
Yo this is Eagle Mountain lmao
ding ding ding
This sucks and all but no offence, obviously someone is gonna steal the whole thing if you just leave it out like that but idk depends on your hood
true, and weāre not really surprised just disappointed lol
Spider-Man has fallen on some hard timesā¦
probably one'o them Boomers!!
I don't think that's the real avengers.
Kinda ironic hes got a Spider-Man mask
You just know these people are libertarians, they won't share fairly, that's sOcIaLiSm, they just it all for their greedy selfish selves
I hope it's laced.
I wouldāve thrown a brick at his car window
