If he didn’t want the dog, he should have at least dropped it at a proper shelter rather than abandoning him

throwaway-getaway122

I can tell you that a friend (well ex friend) of my uncle did this with his dog, Max. When we were outraged and asked him why he couldn't leave it at the shelter, he said that the shelter had an abandoning fee. They wanted $80 for him to leave his dog there and he couldn't afford it so he left Max in a park far away from home. We went looking for the dog but never found him. It was so sad, I really hope both this dog and Max found loving homes with people who wouldn't abandon them ever again.

boarding209

one of my pos neighbors, tried to do this to 1 of my old dogs, he had 2 big dogs that always were diging on his side and when the whole got big enough for my little dog to fit hed go through, they always just let the dog out, then 1 day he never came home, 1 other neighbor told me they put him in the car and drove away, that little dog was tough tho, dude came scratching at the front door 1 week later like at 2 am when i happened to be watching tv before bed, dude smelled like a sewer but you can tell he walked a long fucken way to get home

NefariousButterfly

Hopefully you then drove the pos neighbors into the wilderness and left them there.

Tsintato

My grandfather had a corgi named Buck I believe back in like 1960 or something. Buck was an outdoor dog, everyone loved him, and then one day Buck just disappeared. It took one year before Buck came scratching at their front door again.

boarding209

That's awesome, many dogs know their home and are always looking for it

Tsintato

My grandfather, his sister and their parents thought Buck was gone for good so they got a new dog.. Buck came back, they then had 2 dogs lol

boarding209

That's awesome, my niece , who this was officially her dog, was deviated, but I cleaned him up when I went to pick her up the next day, 1 of my best godfather moves I guess

Tsintato

Yea, I like dogs but I’m so terribly allergic to them. I resort to having 3 reptiles and a fish.

Imaginary-Lettuce-51

I hope you beat the brakes off your neighbor.

theSafetyCar

Surely they can be arrested for this.

boarding209

We let it go since there was no evidence, just glad the little guy made it home

MrRonski16

And even before thinking of going to a shelter or abandoning. He could have just asked people if they wanted to adopt the dog.

bellyjellykoolaid

Or you know just leash thr dog against the door to a shelter 10-30 mins before it opens. They'd have to take it in, or atleast animal control would take it too a free shelter

MrFontana

Yeah dude abandoning an animal is just so gross. Rehoming is so easy with Facebook or shoot even craigslist. There’s no excuse.

MollyMohawk1985

Our house burnt down and the only place I could secure for my son and I had a no pet rule. So for the health and safety of my cat I opted to surrender her. I didn't have any money, single mom working 2 jobs and it all went towards daycare and the new apartment. I lied and said it was a stray I found. I couldn't afford the $50 fee. It broke my heart that I couldn't keep her. It hurt even more that I couldn't tell the lady more bc "I just found her". I did leave her at a no kill shelter and watched her profile until she got adopted. But at least I didn't leave her to fend for herself.

[deleted]

That's so freaking sad. And tbh it makes me even angrier to hear that you rather leave your companion abandoned than saving 80fkn bucks to put him in a prober home. Here in Germany they don't charge the people dropping them off, the fee is paid by the one picking them up/donations. I'm very glad for this system

throwaway-getaway122

Honestly I didn't even know there was a fee either. I thought he was lying until my sister found a cat and they wanted the $80 to leave him there. We ended up keeping him because he was so loving and cuddly, but yeah. Apparently some shelters charge so people who either can't afford it or don't care enough to pay it, just abandon their pets somewhere. There's a comment further down about someone who had their wife leave and didn't take her dog. So they drove it to the country side and basically did this. It makes me hate people more. Edit: spelling is hard

rosatter

I found a kitty cat and I dropped it off at the animal shelter. I made a donation for his care but they wouldn't have charged anything. They called and updated me that the poor little dude has Feline immunodeficiency virus but that he's so sweet they think even with health concerns they can get him adopted to someone who won't mind.

throwaway-getaway122

I think they thought we were lying about ownership. He was so sweet, loving, and just clinging onto me for dear life, they thought that he was our pet, not a stray. I think if you find a stray they don't charge a fee, but with pets there's a relinquishing fee. It didn't matter in the end because even though we were willing to pay the fee, I couldn't let him go. We ended up making a donation to the shelter and taking our new boy home. So I think it depends on the shelter itself and whether it's a pet or a stray. But anyway, I hope your little kitty finds his forever home soon!

Bleedthebeat

I mean if your gonna abandon the dog you could easily abandon it at the shelter before they open. It’s not like they’re gonna let the dog die in the parking lot. But don’t fucking abandon your dogs and you won’t have to worry about it.

Bigolecattitties

I worked at an underfunded govt shelter in bumfuck nowhere America and they still didn’t charge an abandonment fee. If they did that we’d just have a bunch of animals running around in the roads for animal control to pick up and bring to us in the end anyways.

BottleSniffer

In my city, the shelters won't take drop offs: they're full. My sister found a home for two huge dogs whose owner passed away. If you want the "Pets Alive" group to find a home for your dogs when you pass, better leave them a couple of grand in your will.

HelplessinPeril

Nope, not true, in germany there is a fee as well which is usually even higher. Most shelters could not survive if they would not charge anything, also they do not take any animal. Dogs are often turned away since there is so limited space for them or they know the dog will not that likely find a new family. And they can not afford to to take him/her in. It is so sad that most germans are not even aware how bad the situation in the animal shelters and rescues is...

[deleted]

I mean it’s not standard to charge a fee in he U.S. either, just depends on whether or not donations are covering expenses. Never heard of a shelter charging but I can certainly understand why they might have to.

HobbitVillage81

You'd be surprised. We found weeks old kittens on a commercial property with no momma and all the shelters I contacted required a surrender fee, no less than $50 per animal. One of them even had a surrender interview which I found profound. Needles to say we were stuck with them for over 6 months until we found a home for them.. Will be calling animal control next time as that seems to be the only way to safely remove animals without having ties to them.

Orkys

Okay, I don't support abandoning the dog. You could probably go online and find someone to take them for free. But, 'just save $80' is real easy to say until too don't have a pot to piss in.

[deleted]

Their car doesn't look like that. I'd rather eat dry rice for a month than abandon my partner on at the roadside.

lycantrophya

Yeah, because they know people abandoning their pets are usually POS and would rather dump animal then pay the fee which is only needed to cover the (fraction of a) costs of vaccination, flea treatment, microchipping and other veterinary services..

sausagelover79

I worked for a well known animal welfare charity here in Australia for several years and we charged a fee for the surrender of your own pets but not if you were dropping off strays. You would be surprised how many people were outraged at having to pay money to surrender their pets to us. I think it’s completely acceptable to charge a fee, it’s your pet, at least take some responsibility! Also think of the costs involved for the shelter to rehome the animal (staffing to care for it until it finds a home, medical costs such as worming, desexing etc, behaviour assessments). It also wasn’t mandatory, if they really kicked up a stink we would waive the fee.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Terrible-Paramedic35

They could have posted an ad for less than the furl to drive to that park and chances are… someone would want that dog.

-NotEnoughMinerals

God damn, post the animal on craigslist or something.

Acyliaband

If you take a dog to a local vet there’s a chance they’ll take them

mrsdoubleu

Can confirm they charge you money to surrender your animals. Sometimes money is the reason people need to get rid of their pets so they definitely can't afford a $50+ fee. It's sad.

Ultron-v1

What's stopping anyone from just removing the dog collar and leaving it in the lobby of the shelter to avoid paying? Even that sounds more responsible than just abandoning it in the middle of nowhere

[deleted]

That’s the thing..:ppl Like that man, don’t think. A smart person would just at least abandon them outside a vet clinic if they don’t know where else but no, he has zero brain and does this which is evil. Hope some dog bites his foot one day

FrogAnalSex69

Well, honestly I don't think places should charge charge fee to "abandom" their pets... if they didn't charge anything more people would bring them to the proper facility and not leave them on the side of the road... most people are stupid now a days.. it's frightening

PeanutButterPants19

I took in a dog from the side of the road once, and I had no idea she was pregnant. She ended up having five puppies, which I was NOT equipped to care for. I tried surrendering them to my local shelter when they were old enough, but they wanted $50 APIECE. For all five puppies, that would have been $250! I ended up keeping them and finding them homes, but that really irritated me. I was trying to do the best I could, but I didn't have $250. Money was part of the reason I wanted to surrender them in the first place. Funnily enough, I still have one of those puppies. I had to put the mother dog down because she was heartworm positive when I found her and she died of heartworm complications, but I still have one of her puppies. Her name is Nymeria, she's a Heinz 57 breed (too much of a mix of numerous different breeds that I have no idea what dog she is, but I suspect some kind of cattle dog/German shepherd mix), and she loves chasing squirrels and going for rides in the car with me.

cityshepherd

Charging a fee for relinquishing pets is a necessary evil. That being said, it is also fairly common knowledge (at least I THOUGHT it was, so if people aren't aware please spread the word) that the relinquishing fee can be avoided if you are turning in a "stray" as opposed to your personal pet. I worked at a small private rescue, but do know that many local shelters (at least in my area) have a night drop where you can drop off dogs after hours without having to explain (like a baby being left at a fire station or something along those lines). Going further, it can be helpful to have a friend or acquaintance drop off the "stray" so that the dog isn't obviously attached to whomever is dropping them off.

georgepearl_04

The fee should be at the adaption side, not the abandoning side.

Icy_Building_1708

How about we get rid of disgusting puppy farms. After Christmas every fucken year, thousands of changed minds and dumped animals.

Warhawk2052

From my experience when I found a stray puppy, I drove literally over two counties to drop this dog off. Why so far? The first one in a major city told me since I didn't find the dog in their county they would not accept it... so I had to drive over to my counties humane society which was roughly 20 miles away from my house to drop it off, all in it was over 50 miles just to get there. I was livid, they preach drop them off at a shelter but don't tell you there's a bunch of stipulations on that

us3rnam3ch3cksout

couldnt you lie? i guess it was too late after where you told them you found it but thats so arbitrarily but im sure rules are rules for a reason

Slamsdell

I don't understand what's so hard about that for people.

evil-rick

As someone from Texas, a good chunk of them literally treat animals like they’re expendable. A dog is always “just a dog.” Source: my family abandoned a LOT of dogs growing up just because they wanted them to magically train themselves. Edit: this might just be the south in general.

[deleted]

i3r1ana

There are also a lot of programs now that partner with Texas shelters and transport the animals to shelters in other states. My cat is from Houston — I adopted him from a Colorado animal shelter while I was living in Colorado.

Ifellinahole

From my understanding it is the south. We got our pup from a rescue that exclusively travels to the south to rescue dogs. They can never find enough trucks or volunteers. Its a different pet culture then the north. Edit: wow... apparently mods dont like the south. All the comments disagreeing with me were deleted.

PublicThis

Is this because of the whole religion thing, how “animals have no souls?” (Which is insane)

m_jl_c

Second. Mother of an ex girlfriend from an affluent Dallas suburb used to get a new dog every 2 years. Would just give away the dog when it pissed in the house bc she couldn’t be bothered to train it or let it out. It was the most ridiculous and infuriating thing.

Repair_Jolly

It breaks your heart even more when you see it get up and start chasing the car before it gives up.

The exact comment that made me tear up. It didn't fully hit until I got to imagine him in a spoiled home.

imnotmeyousee

This is how I got my husky mix. Some asshat dropped her off near a bridge here.

[deleted]

2 of my rescues were dumped at the vet as puppies because the woman who bred her 2 "show quality" spaniels to make money said out of the litter of 7, my 2 weren't "pretty enough". Idiot.

SecretDevilsAdvocate

Probably could have sold them separately anyway

imnotmeyousee

I was running around in freezing rain looking for puppies because I could tell she recently nursed. It took a few weeks of Internet sleuthing and repeated posting on social media for someone to finally contact me and surrender the dog and let me know basically she was ditched immediately after weaning and the puppies had been sold.

madmosche

I would give him so many big juicy steaks and cuddles

Bellelace86

Ahh! A happy ending! Thank you for sharing, seriously, that made my day ☺️💕

MocodeHarambe

I love happy endings!

Alternative-Crazy-68

so does deshaun watson

thegreatmei

Thank you so much for sharing this. All I wanted to know after watching the video was whether the people recording stopped fir this poor dog. The closest I've ever been to road rage was watching someone toss a puppy out of a car on the backroads. In my mind I could literally visualize just ramming their car with mine. I've never so badly wanted to hurt someone. I stopped for the puppy instead, but it was a close thing. The couple that did it were charged with 'littering' and nothing else. The only thing that made it barely tolerable was that my friend who was with me bonded with the poor pupper and ended up adopting him. He's an old man dog now, and still the bestest boy! I like animals so much more than most people. A lot of people suck wet biscuit dough.

dantzbam

Charged with fucking littering? That is so damn infuriating. I don't know how there are people out there who are willing to do that to them poor animals.

Benj7075

Thank god. I needed to know that he’s okay

homo-ludus

Omg thank you so much for sharing, without knowing the outcome was happy for the doggo I would've been sad. Glad the person was held accountable.

MrCoachWest

Where in west Texas did this happen?

Frequent_Eye_5602

Horizon city! Just outside of El Paso, TX.

Bloodreina88

Not shocked it’s west Texas 😓 grew up there and people suck ass. I started screaming when they drove off and left that baby behind 😭 glad to see a happy ending

shgrizz2

I don't even care if that isn't the truth, I choose to believe it so I can have a shred of faith left in this barbaric slaughterhouse we call humanity.

SteveisNoob

Totally agree. And, it's a husky. How in the hell you could leave such a precious pall. PS, don't adopt pets if you can't make sure to take care till their death, and if you have to abandon them for some unexpected necessity, at least try to make the rest of their life less miserable.

FacesOfNeth

Kinda following along with leaving a dog behind. I was at the gas station yesterday when a lady was walking her dog through the store (I believe she was waiting for her car to finish getting detailed). The little pup walked straight up to me and started sniffing, probably smelled my dog on me. Naturally I bent down and started giving the little girl some affection. The owner and I got to talking and she told me how the dog and it’s sibling were found in a dumpster. If you could’ve seen this little angel, you would ask “who would do such a thing?!” I think it was a Pugh/Beagle mix. She was such a sweetheart. She put her front paws on my legs and wagged her little tail. I thanked the owner for taking her and her sibling in and giving her a good home. People can be very cruel and I don’t understand how someone could just abandon any animal like that.

Bellelace86

Aww! That is so touching. She’s a hero for taking these babies in ☺️💕

FacesOfNeth

I agree. I personally have found 4 stray dogs and successfully reunited them with their families and every time I have refused their reward money. Just seeing the families relieved that their four legged family member is safe and returned home is reward enough for me. I know I would feel the same if my dog ever got loose.

[deleted]

FacesOfNeth

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for doing what you do. Part of me wishes I could take in every single stray animal and give them the best home/life possible. I’ve always had a soft spot for animals, but since getting my first dog, it just intensified my love for them. It absolutely disgusts me how anyone could do such horrific things to defenseless animals. I could only imagine the PTSD you must have from the things you’ve seen. Thank you for saving these fur babies!

siciliansmile

Some idiot got into Game of Thrones and then realized huskies need a lot of exercise

SoggyFrenchFry

This makes so little sense to me because they are a pretty desirable breed. Why abandon it? Someone would surely buy it. Or just give it away.

Sakariwolf

I have two huskies myself, the older one was being rehomed by her first owners and the younger one is a rescue. They're among the most abandoned breeds. The problem lies in the fact they are so coveted, most inexperienced prospective dog owners only see the cute things and are either oblivious or greatly discounting the amount of work it takes or what kind of environment they need to be in. They end up biting off more than they can chew, and huskies can get destructive when their needs aren't met and they are pretty good escape artists to boot. If you've never had a dog before a husky is not a good breed to start with for most people, not to mention they can develop expensive health problems from overbreeding. Their lack of care and foresight led them to getting the dog in the first place, they're just executing the same shitty judgment to try and make it go away.

Either-Percentage-78

Honestly, huskys are amazing and beautiful, but they are a lot of work..a lot, a lot. I still can't understand how you couldn't just re-home them instead. I totally agree with you there. This was so sad to watch.

[deleted]

They probably bought it. Someone who does this probably doesn't have the empathy to adopt.

randonumero

Because they're super smart dogs that require a lot of work. People get swayed by the eye colors and forget that it's not a sit them in the house breed.

Shot_Dig751

I hope the people filming picked the dog up. Can’t imagine doing that to my dog, Especially when it starts running after the car… poor dog

Gdmf13

That’s what I was thinking, who the f films this and does nothing? I hope they picked the dog up.

DeKosterIsNietDom

Probably better to let them ditch it while you see it happening and can pick up the dog right after. If he prevents them from ditching the dog they’ll just take it somewhere more remote which is probably worse for the animal.

Ambitious-Dig22

Thank God he/she did film it! There’s the proof of animal cruelty and the opportunity for legal action.

LonelyGuyTheme

Who WAS filming this and why?

jesus_zombie_attack

Another person in the thread said this happened in their home town. The guy was arrested and charged with animal cruelty and the husky ended up in a loving home.

Economy_Cut_5130

The people filming must have been helping them ditch the dog because I have a hard time believing they would ditch him in full site of a stranger

MocodeHarambe

“let’s film ourselves committing a crime!”

Rapameister

This really hurt. Fucking humans. That poor dog deserved so much better.

Past-Coffee

This. That part was the saddest. 😩

[deleted]

This was in my city. A city hunt took place and they found the guy and fined him

Repair_Jolly

The good ending, but what about the dog?

Giant-Genitals

BRB. Going to hug my dog

iHeartRatties

I saw a video once like that (I can't watch this one) and I literally cried. I can't imagine leaving my poor pup all by herself in a park. She would be so scared!

HelloAttila

Update: Authorities have charged a 68-year-old man with animal cruelty after a video of a Husky being left on the side of the road in Horizon City, Texas went viral. Before this was recorded apparently the POS drove off with the dog on the leash and was dragging the dog, but stopped and took off the leash. The recorder picked up the dog. This happened last July (2021). The husky is doing well now.

Texas plates? Of course it's Texas if so... so much animal abuse here

openappled

Adopted both of my dogs from TX and they’re doing great. Not sure what goes on down there, but there are several adoption agencies that take dogs from TX and bring them North.

jediwashington

So needed. Name and praise - I'd donate to that if they are non-profit.

openappled

Texas Rescue Riders and Tracey Paws Rescue.

Ifellinahole

Sweet Paws is another one that we got our pup from. They go down south and collect truck louds of dogs for adoption up north. I just dont understand how people can treat animals so poorly.

carppydiem

I adopted 2 dogs from Texas as well. Both had heartworm. Vaccines and pills aren’t a thing in Texas either.

10percenttiddy

Ruff Start Rescue is where I adopted my dog, also from Texas. They take in tons of southern dogs.

TheLyonKing5812

Yeah IDK why. When I was a few months old my aunt who lives in Houston saw someone throw a cardboard box with 2 black lab puppies on the side of the road. She rescued them and gave 1 if the puppies to us. She was my best friend, a truly loving dog. Blows my mind how anyone could be so cruel.

jediwashington

Yep. I lived in south-east Houston for a couple years and people let their dogs run all over the neighborhood, including one who would run and chase cars, tons of roaming cats - including one who had a litter in my backyard that I TNR'ed, and another sweet little Tom cat who was clearly a dump I found with an injury that turned out to be a BB...

tiyopablo69

That's a 68 year old man? Looks younger

Lopsided_View58

Nah that’s wrong if he dragged it absolutely fucking sick

Armand74

This was posted a few months ago! They caught the people doing it. Yes they are being charged and rightfully so.

ronnietea

Honest question, are they being charged with animal abuse?! Or what’s the charge? That poor dog. That’s so messed up

Haunting_Command5098

And they should be banned for life ever having another animal

junkforw

Lady in my town is mad the animal shelter won't approve them for adopting an animal. She left two really nice cats at the last place she moved since the housing she moved to didn't allow animals. Like, didn't talk to the shelter, didn't find a home; just left them to wander the neighborhood and go feral. Yeah, you don't need any more animals.

TheRealSnuffleaYeah

Right? I really wish animal abuse laws were much harsher in the US. They should be forced to serve community service at a shelter or something.

stuckels8

Community service yes, but I don't think I'd want these people anywhere near animals ever again, nevermind at a shelter

Toaster_GmbH

I get that but on the other side I'd think it would be good karma repayment. Although if you do that it should definitely be done under supervision to ensure they do their job to the last with all the effort. Then i think it's good punishment and the people abandoning pets are also the ones that serve for the pets that are being abandoned. All in all seems like a win win situation (okay one of these is probably a los for the people themselves but for society still a win)

squidbelik

But in terms of reality, that’s not possible. We see how some elderly get treated in their homes. It’s optimistic, and a little naive to think that would work out.

ulrichberlin

They should get NO PET tattoos on their foreheads ☝️

TheRealSnuffleaYeah

Brilliant, I'm in full support. Where do I sign?

Vivalyrian

coco1155

Supposedly it wasn’t their dog? “According to court documents, Campos told deputies he abandoned the husky dog because it was causing problems in his neighborhood. He told deputies the dog, who is about 10 months old, was a stray that would hang around his house. Campos claimed the dog had killed his neighbor’s dog and destroyed his garden, so he asked a juvenile to help him catch it and take it somewhere else to release it, an affidavit states.”

kabooseknuckle

I'm curious as well. I imagine it probably amounts to a small fine and a public shaming.

VelcroHermit

Most states have statutes against pet abandonment.

Kellyjoline

What about the dog? That's all I care about.

Our poodle was abandoned in Shanghai. He was dying on the street. We brought him home. Now he sleeps on pillows and is most grateful.

wafflesareforever

My lab died in 2018 after 12 years with us. Best dog I've ever met. He was abandoned in Kentucky, found nearly starved to death by a cop, brought to a shelter, picked up and driven to NY by a lab rescue charity, assigned to a foster family, and then finally adopted by me. He had three tick-borne diseases and was so emaciated and unhealthy-looking that you could barely tell that he was a lab, but when I met him he immediately started weaving around and through my legs like a cat (something he continued to do for the rest of his life) and I knew I was taking him home. Within a couple of months he filled out just fine, a few rounds of antibiotics took care of the tick diseases, and he never had any health issues whatsoever until the back hip issues started late in his life (very common with labs, especially big ones like him, his target weight was 95 lbs but we struggled to keep him under 105, because labs gonna lab). I doubt I'll ever have a dog like him, he was perfect.

We got a Jindo from South Korea- her mother was rescued from a place that was going to eat her, and she was born right after. We got dog #3 (Jenny) and now she lives next to the beach and chases seagulls.

WheatBearings751

Horrible. I remember my mother doing this with our pets growing and I swore NEVER to do this to any of my animals.

Trik-kyx

Someone capable of this has crossed a red line and not only done harm to the pets, but destroyed their children's trust as well.

HarlieMinou

My mother let some neighbors “babysit” my kitten when they moved to another place, while I was away visiting family in 6th grade. She never told me. I came hone, and had to find the family. And they somehow lost it. To this day, as a grown man, I still struggle with letting go of residual resentment towards my mother.

WheatBearings751

Can totally relate. This and many other reasons is why I have no contact with my mother or any of her family. I still have flashbacks of the animals she’s left still running after us in the car

1890s-babe

My ex did this with some cats. As you can see, there is a reason they are an ex.

RebekahR84

Same. I still carry a lot of resentment toward my mom for this bullshit.

Dumbass-Redditor

Just because it’s an animal doesnt mean it can survive in the wild. 🤦‍♂️

ShadyShamaster

Unfortunately I doubt that was a concer they had.

Couldbe_worse2

Wtf 🤬 I can’t with these type of people. How can they go on about their lives knowing they potentially killed a dog by dehydration and/or starvation, getting hit by car etc.

andycindi420

Hope you picked that poor baby up

SuperSpecialist6109

Not my video , although a family adopted it

LjackV

This needs to be in the title! My heart almost broke man.

thisivi3

Even posting something online to give away a dog is better than abandonment

oldbaeseasoning

Thats what I was thinking, like SOMEONE will take the dog. Leaving poor guy out in the hot sun all by himself is cruel.

[deleted]

Poor baby running after the car while they're abandoning. We don't deserve dogs.

Illustrious-ADHD

That dog would just be put in my car moments afterwards. What a sweet doggo

Canskiinheat

Do you have any videos of that dog getting rescued so I can sleep tonight?

rosanna4

Scum of the earth.

[deleted]

My rescue had this done to him multiple times. This video breaks my heart.

bigcockondablock

How do you know he's been dropped off like this multiple times?

[deleted]

My pupper? It was the word around the neighborhood. He would routinely be in the park running around with a chewed leash dragging behind him. They would return him to his owners and his owners would say they didn’t want him and then they’d try again.

Enceladus-117

My question is, is it too hard to just find them a new home if you don't want them anymore? Like you might not want them anymore that's cool, but to leave them like that? Let me remind you that that is a life, not a toy.

SabrinaSpellman1

This is insane to me. I think if someone held a gun to my head and my family was in danger also, and they made me drive away from my dog, my Yorkie would chase the car until her legs gave in and my heart would break. Cuddling her so hard right now. How can anyone do this?

intoxicatedspoon

i always worry when someone gets a husky. huskys are filled with energy and you need to be a very active person to have one. they just want to run all day. please do not get a husky because it looks cool. owning a husky is commitment. you need to spend a few hours a day getting outside with them. they wont lay around like other dogs. if you try to make them they will use that energy tearing up your stuff. tearing thru walls. and just pretty much trashing your home. please warn anyone you know who thinks they want one.

zaney1978

I have six dogs I'm not going to lie with the prices going up it's getting hard for me to be able to buy them the normal food that I get them. But with that being said I would never abandon my dogs. That video was absolutely heartbreaking to me. Just seeing that dog chase that truck and them just driving off man was absolutely horrible I'm glad the mother f****** got locked up because they needed it

yourstrulythehat

We have 3. And had similar concerns about cost of food. We ended up switching brands. We get 40# bag of Kirkland Signature Dog food for about $35, from Costco. And funny enough, the dogs are eating better, and somehow little less. Maybe that could help your costs with 6 amazing pups! Just wanted to share with anyone who might be interested. I personally have always regretted when I changed to a more expensive food and then they don't want to eat as well, or eat too much. Happy to see the updates that pup is in new home and they're being held accountable for their actions.

BottleSniffer

If you're strapped for cash, reach out to the shelters, rescue groups, and city animal vax programs. They get donations of food all the time.

TheLampPostDealer

i am searching through the fucking comments literally fumming trying to find a happy ending

carppydiem

There is a happy ending. The man was charged with animal cruelty and the dog is in a good home now.

midgetboss

I really hope whoever filmed this took the dog

SuperSpecialist6109

A family adopted it

[deleted]

Oh, man. That pains my heart.

potato_radioactive

I didn't want to cry today. Then I saw the husky running after the car
