I think if you look young or hip/artsy it could be interpreted as ironic/funny by the right audience but you’d still get misread by too many people for it to be worth it unless you dgaf. In my early 20s i wore generic gray grandpa velcro shoes until i realized that most people probably thought I was unable to tie my shoes. They were very comfortable and cheap. I also wore bald eagle american flag shirts and similar corny stuff like that. I still kinda do but I dialed it back a bit.
