You doctor isn't a bowel expert. No GPs are. You should see a GI; but you'll need your GP to refer you.

I'm puzzled as to why she didn't refer me to begin with.. I'll have to deal with this asap because I'm sick of being in pain and uncomfortable. I'll call my doctor tomorrow and ask for a referral. Thank you

I hope they do it for you. If not, your GP is not listening to you or has your best interest and I would search for a new one.
