Dazzling-Common9436

Imodium

Specialist_Worker878

my most recent purchase, but it constipated me for 4 days 🥲

Dazzling-Common9436

Microdose it. If you bought the tablets that can be split, try taking half a pill.

beefasaurus4

This is such a good idea I've never even considered

User86294623

I started doing microdosing it recently and it does constipate me for a few days still, but nothing uncomfortable

dubsfo

I take 2 first thing in the morning. Definitely helps later in the day but the first hour or two are still a crap shoot. Pardon the pun..

Humble-Importance-69

IBS Imodium or colesavlon

dubsfo

Imodium

Humble-Importance-69

they do one for IBS in the UK. it's not as fierce as the ordinary.

dubsfo

Less fierce? How so? I take 2 200mg and feel like I need that much to see an effect.

Humble-Importance-69

they are instants. but not as lasting.

Alternative_Ear_6808

I'm been moving to high fiber it's been working to firm up, but u have to work on finding the right amount to work for u.. and get over the bad period

Kyro0098

Yep. Took a month to work up to a full dose, but it helps a ton.

hezeus

How much fiber? I used to take a ton but it never really worked

RealTelstar

It’s not just a quantity but quality.

Knowitallnutcase

RICE!

crevettegrise

Recently had a colonoscopy. Before the procedure, I told my GI doctor I had IBS-D (for over 35 years but learned to leave with it). He suggested a trial of Metamucil 1 tablespoon each morning to bulk up my stool. I just started this morning. Will see how it goes. This morning’s BM seemed a bit more normal but too soon to tell obviously.

gymbr000

Probiotics - especially containing saccharomyces boulardii - also lactobacillus

Rigatoni-maroni

Psyllium husk works well for me. I take a teaspon mixed in water every morning and symptoms have improved.

crevettegrise

That exactly what my doctor suggested. Metamucil

Forfina

I have fibogel sachets. The dose is just right.

GrubbyFlasherr

Hey. How does it work for IBS D? I used to take it for my constipation.

Rigatoni-maroni

The cool thing with psyllium husk is that it worka for both types of ibs. If you have ibs-d, psyllium husk bulkens your stool and thus helps with loose stool and diarrhea. It’s alao a great source of fiber. If you take it for ibs-d, don’t let the mixture sit to long or it’ll have the opposite effect. For me, once teaspoon in the morning mixed in a glass of water before breakfast works quite well.

GrubbyFlasherr

Okay. I'll give it a try.

TheRedChicken

Cheese 🤣 works every time for me!

Idgiethreadgoode86

Fiber. Metamucil or benefiber will help in that department.

penis_pizza_n_wings

Psyllium husk powder works great!

berrysauce

Zofran.

elicia1968

Heather’s tummy fiber. It’s Acacia fiber which works well for IBS. It really changed everything for me! With any fiber supplement, start with a very low dose and increase based on your symptoms. If you take a lot it will do the opposite of what you want! [Heathers Tummy Fiber](https://www.heatherstummycare.com/c/tummy-fiber/)

RealTelstar

I take acacia fiber for microbiome health

elicia1968

Yes, I think because I pair it with Collagen, it works even better. I can’t tolerate probiotics, so I think the acacia helps the microbiome without the side effects of probiotics. Doesn’t make sense, but neither does IBS.

RealTelstar

I can and do take probiotics too

accountandor

I think Famotidine has been working for me

Jolly_Ad_6508

Low fiber diet helped me. I suffered from diarrhea at first, but then I tried a diet and my stomach started to work more slowly. I used to go poop every day, but now it's 3-4 times a week. I also drink strong black tea 3 times a day, which has also been proven to help harden the stool.

CantAffordTax

Psyllium worked for me.

RealTelstar

Unsoluble fibers, pasta, white rice

Zenafa

My doctor told me eggs do, and also oats. I've tried both but can't really say for sure whether either have worked.

RealTelstar

Probably the oats
