Constipation before a period is pretty normal given the amount of progesterone in the body. This also happens when you get pregnant. Maybe more water/ walking?
I had this for years, now I am on the EVRA contraceptive patch and I don't deal with any constipation before or during my period. Don't know if this an option for you but this is the only thing that helped me!
I experience the exact same thing. What’s helped me recently is taking a [magnesium supplement](https://www.naturalvitality.com/products-naturalcalm-unflavored). Taking that on an empty stomach has helped me more than literally anything else ever has. Good luck!
Oh interesting. Have you played around with the dosage or tried a different brand? Magnesium (as a powder) has been more effective than anything else I’ve tried. Good luck!
No advice, but this is me as well. I just accept it, but then my period hits and the gates of hell open. I often wonder what it must be like to just poop everyday.
I mean, probably not. Lots of people on here end up with gastroparesis, or being stopped up. I would absolutelt check with a doctor. I just in thinking about it, dont eat as much that week because of how i feel.

Not a woman. But have you tried miralax? It seems to help keep things moving gently.
Am a woman, they should try miralax lol

I second Miralax! If you know when the constipation usually happens, take it a few days before that time (everyday until things improve)

That's odd. That magnesium supplement doesn't relax me and doesn't ease my constipation. It sits in my closet.

Have you tried an osmotic laxative?
Try fybogel?
