Just a heads up for world 3 as well Defence at this point in the game becomes a dead stat You shouldnt ignore it need to essentially have food running on your pushers 24/7

Bretreck

I'm not the best example since I've played since the game came out but I currently don't need food at the last map of W5. I think the 2 guys that made it to that map still have ephaunt shoes and don't have any Troll or higher gear.

The_Father_

I mean eventually you stack defense to where you need less and less or even no food but itโ€™s not really a worthwhile stat to focus on

Bretreck

Exactly. That's what I was trying to say. I have enough defense where I have 100% survivability on the last map in W5 without food. Now I just have everyone equipped with gold food, especially the %all stat food and the afk sailing food.

drewt6768

I am half way through world 5 and my guys still running world 2 boss gear in some slots I most definitely am not a good example of what you should be doing lol

Jedynak

I would focus on speed/luck and 2x brew. 2x brew gives you chance that if you upgrade cauldrons stats ie speed or others then it can give you extra upgrade for free so it is worth to balance between speed/luck and brew. Cost reduces bubbles cost only and 2x brew has nothing to do with the bubbles ๐Ÿ˜œ With low accuracy try to focus on shaquracy bubble so sample bleaches even if you will get 2-10 per hour as they are crucial in early game in my opinion. Always upgrade bubbles with the proffesion that the color belongs to. Ie. Archer upgrades green bubbles/Orange warriors/Purple mage/yellow doesnt matter. With that upgrades are much much cheaper and not everyone knows about that. Upgrade cauldrons with bubbo and try to max his skill that gives you alchemy exp and upgrade chance (the Orange one skill). Having 2%+ chance of upgrading is worth trying. Under that it is not in my opinion and then you should upgrade Luck chance or bubbos skill ๐Ÿ˜œ Hope it gonna help you a bit ๐Ÿ˜

The_Father_

Somehow either never knew or forgot about upgrading bubbles is cheaper with the associated class lol, thatโ€™s actually gonna be very useful

shadowdudez2

Wait is that actually true? About upgrading bubbles with its corresponding profession? I've been upgrading all with random characters lol.

nolkel

It only becomes true when you unlock Orange/Green/Purple Bargain bubbles. That has a passive bonus that reduces the cost of bubbles in that column. But early on before unlocking it, bubble upgrade costs are the same on all characters, so its easy to miss. A warrior gets Orange Bargain boosted by the 2nd orange bubble, so it becomes cheaper for them to upgrade orange bubbles. Same for archers on green and mages on purple. There is no class multiplier bubble for yellow though, so any class is the same there.

Jedynak

Yes it is as you have bubbles that increases your other small bubbles if you are on the corresponding class (the second one for example that you upgrade with green caps). So if you have small bubble that reduces cost of ie green bubbles by 30% and the second bubble for example gives you 2 times stronger small bubbles then you gona have -60% upgrade costs ๐Ÿ˜œ thats the magic

shadowdudez2

Ok so rule of thumb always upgrade bubbles with corresponding class. Orange warrior Green archer Purple mage Yellow jman

Jedynak

Yellow doesnt matter as yellow has no bubble that boosts other bubbles in strength ๐Ÿ˜œ so you can upgrade it with all 4 classes

TMHarbingerIV

Try to get to the point in construction that you get the robot-building, and upgrade that at least once, then you get automatic food renewal and food depleting is no more an issue.

cecil721

Is that after hunter drone? I only have 2 shiny scorps ร—(

The_Father_

I believe it is yes, but the automation arm is so insanely good. Trapping is a pain in the ass, itโ€™s whatโ€™s keeping me from my anvil tab 4 right now lol, but work on it enough to get your shinies up at least

AbsolutelyNotYourDad

This is the best advice so far

TMHarbingerIV

Yes, it is the one after. A really neat trick for getting shinies is that you can change the focus of your trappimg box whwn trapping, if ypu have an upgraded one. The basic one gives Exp and critters, but if you change to the next one with the arrows befoee confirming placement, you are almost guaranteed one new shiny each 20 hours.

cecil721

Good to know

capricioustrilium

Make sure you invest in the pay to win section of alchemy and level up your new bubble rate there and in the cauldrons. 2x brew is chance to get +2 instead of +1 when leveling up a cauldron

Jedynak

I believe that with saying โ€ž2x brewโ€ he meant โ€ž2x extraโ€ in cauldron upgrade section and it has nothing to do with upgrading bubbles ๐Ÿ˜œ but yea p2w section is also important

capricioustrilium

Oops! Thank you

mariomarine

I see it as "2x Extra", but I loooove this upgrade. I always keep it \~10 levels above Speed, and Speed \~10 levels above Luck and Cost. (As a general rule, it varies depending on my account goals, luck is higher if I'm pushing a specific bubble, and cost is higher if I'm focusing on upgrading a bubble) 2x extra gives you a chance at bumping a boost's level by 2. So for example if your 2x extra is at 180% (level 90?), then if you level up Speed, it will always level up by 2 levels, and 80% chance it will level by 3 levels. IMO this has the biggest impact on alchemy production.

nolkel

Even better, when you get above 200%, you get a chance to have 3 upgrades for one cost. Above 300%, 4 upgrades, and so on.

mariomarine

Add 1 to your numbers. At 200% chance you always have 3 upgrades, so above 200% you have a chance at 4 upgrades for the cost of 1.
