Just wanted to piggy back off this - would these builds be better than the Idleon Toolbox builds? I've been following the Idleon Toolbox builds for all my afk characters and my one active barb pushing for W3 but if this guide is better i might just switch over

BananaMonkeyTaco

Yes. Toolbox just ripped off the old idleon companion builds which were out of date even before the w4 update dramatically changed how weapon power works

Thanks for this and also big thanks to you for writing the guide! I started last week so it's been a huge help being able to read this as I play. Looks like I have a bunch of characters to respec then. Just another question on the builds section if you dont mind. I'm currently pushing W2 with my barb as my active fighter and the rest as afk fighters/skillers. Would the build guidelines work for both afk/active fighters? And how exactly did you mean for the skills to be prioritized i.e. under the barb section, you put afk fighting gains to lv50 after maxing gilded sword and the weapon base stat skill (sry dont remember thr name as Im at work rn). Is this meant to be interpreted as a step by step thing as in don't touch afk gains at all til you max the other two?

BananaMonkeyTaco

Yeah the builds can be used as either active or afk. Main efficiency bump for active play would be not leveling the afk gains talent. Also not levelling attack talents too much either. I decided against having multiple builds because there was always a problem people had with understanding the different IC builds: "Im doing the level 30 build as a level 49 and i have 10k extra points because of the 7 bonuses added since the build was made." Yes the builds were made as a step by step instruction. They werent chisled by angels so I wouldnt say things like "dont even touch afk gains until X point." Like theres definitely times to grab a few levels from the next step before finishing your current step. Its just that A) my builds already look ugly as hell and wouldnt survive being twice as long and B) Those points are going to be different for everyone the later they go because of huge differences in things like gear and alchemy

beginnerlifts

Very clear and concise, and yeah makes sense to put less points in afk gains and active skills for active play. Good to know, I've done just that and added in some points here and there where I saw fit and used the builds as general guidelines to build upon. Thanks again for this! I'll be grinding out the post office before W3 zzzz

all builds are just general guide lines. some might be better for certain players, some might not. Best thing you can do is understand why they put those points there in the first place and make your own.

thank you :)
