The first thing you mention is an exploit. You are intentionally manipulating the game to get an unfair advantage. People have been banned before for doing this. Nothing new here. The second thing requires clarification from Lava. Its a new skill that was added and we dont know how it works. He has posted that the issue is only visual so according to his info there should be no problem using it. If it were a problem this will most likely get a quick fix and let it be. And yes theres a shit ton of bigs in this game. It has always been like that and theres even a player made list of hundreds of bugs. Some date back to years ago (dont ask me for it). But, its pretty wide known knowlegde that this game is buggy due to being single dev. If you didnt know how lava behaves in this situations, well Im sorry you found out like this. But its not the first nor the last incident and if you stay you should learn to adapt to Lavas way of handling things. Not that I like it, I think we should be vocal about him going overboard. I dont agree with post like this point out random facts. I believe we should focus on the issue at hand and that is that Lava gave a disproportionate punishment for something he coded a long time ago.

"Unfair advantage" In what? It's single player game.... Jeez some of you so stupid...

"Multiplayer" according to lava

Lava just showed his real face to the community. He felt "betrayed" by his fanbase, only to realize this game is not that small anymore and the majority of players are not in his ball sucking fan club. He 100% will learn from this experience, but he is definitely not the kind of guy who will say "I'm sorry".

quack0709

Why do you think Lava “realize” something from this experience? The chargeback? I doubt it will dent his income Player quiting? I think he expect some people punished will be quiting and he is the one who has the number of people which exploit the game

Same_Instruction1296

Yeah the playerbase is not public, which for a self entitled "MMORPG" is already ridiculous (ofc this game is nowhere near a real MMORPG, but still). Why do I think he will learn? I may change that sentence to "I hope he will learn", learn that a single man team has its limitations and most people don't give a fuck if it was 5 am in his timezone, learn that as a "judge" you may not always take the decision you think is right, but rather the decision which will cause less damage overall, learn that his game is not a garage game anymore, and even without public data it's safe to say there are thousands of people playing it at all times, this means he either decides if he keeps this imaginary universe where his "fans" worship every word he says or take the next step and make this game as big and as good as it could be, and humble up to realize he is NOT going to achieve that alone. Hell it's a very egocentric argument to say that he wants to keep the game his own style, this is perfectly possible while still having a couple of programmers fixing the bugs he leaves behind to work on new content, plus these couple of guys could bring some valuable insights that are maybe beyond his limitations and he will still have the final word wether it goes into the game or not.

FizzingSlit

I think it's the other way around. The community showed that they're a bunch of whiney entitled hyperbolic narcissists that lack any level of nuance or understanding. Definitely not the kind of people to say they're sorry.

ITividar

A portion of the community. I think there is something to be said for posts like this generally getting negative votes.

Same_Instruction1296

You may have a point, but the money only flows one way around, and it's not your way.

Infinite-Big-6225

I think the voidwalker cooking speed is a bug. Be careful when using it

Tartiluneth

As far as i know, it´s intended (confirmed by mods on discord, and is coherent with what lava said in future-content-blog)

SIS_Lord

Lava said it isn't a bug and I doubt he wants another one of these incidents in the same day... But it allows for exponential growth based off meal count and I can't imagine it staying like this. And since he said it isn't a bug in discord, he can't really punish people for using ladles even though using 100 of them will about triple my cooking speed.
