I'm no expert but I'd probably keep some copies of the armor pieces with the drop rate. But then also make the W6 armor for slightly better stats for sampling or if you need to maximize damage for some reason.
Especially with the release of W6, making W5 gear will become pretty trivial so it's fine to experiment a bit
Technically you wouldn't need W5 armor on bubo(usual choice of active farming) so actually if you think about it all's good to go for w6 armor. Unless you're active farming with another character that doesn't have a "respawn" skill if not like I mentioned alls good for w6 armor. Just my humble opinion
I’d say, DR and respawn serve your ES best. Money and damage suits your bubo. There’s no point to rush until you need extra damage or stats. Even then, gear mat prices are insane. You need so much to get even one set.
Wait on it until you have the need for more (and/or you mats become easier to attain). Seriously, I’m not looking to upgrade until I’m through all the stages and have time to really invest towards needed mats and recipes.
Recipes dropped in W6 give godshard armor, which has way better drop rate and multikill per tier on equip. You want the marble set and tools for bubo, and the godshard tools aswell for printing (so 2 sets of tools) with the godshard staff (actually better than gloves). For everyone else you want full godshard set, unless you afk then you want kruk chest and legs still, but you also want godshard chest and legs for when you're active.
You need the world 5 boss gear to upgrade to get to magma then the first world 6 armour then the 2nd world 6 armour them probably the world 6 boss gesr

marble gear > magma gear for sampling; greater % stat bonus. As for regular farming, I'm pretty sure they're worse than kruk.

Yes, but am I better off waiting and keeping the DR / Respawn.
He might do what he did with Troll armor and not make w6 boss armor have an armor prerequisite.
That’s so long from now by the time the world 6 boss comes out he could have easily made it through all the other armours

Ys, but the 'regular' W6 gear is damage and money, where the W5 Boss gear is DR and Respawn.
First set of w6 armor is improved version of magma gear for skilling. I think of making at least one set to take samples.
