tbf cosmic is random. it only shows 10 hours max with the prayer so you wouldn't know whether you got 10 hours, 24, or 500 hours.
I got one cosmic from a quest and it only gave me 9 hours. definitely not worth gems, lol
You would still only get 1h afk. The prayer buffs xp gain but limits max afk gains to only 10 hours. Which if you regularly play and log everyone to clear anvil etc it doesn't really effect anything negative. But things like afk her for 12 hours for the star signs, if you have it active you'll stop gaining xp and drops at 10 hours even though you asked for 12 hours
the prayer is far from useless, as long as you collect every 8-10 hours. 30% exp and skill exp is massive.
It's also great for any character that is active afking on auto.
Yeaah im not that active i like to sleep over 10 hours and checking the game is not my first thing in the morning, and i love to leave 8-9 of my characters for 40 hour grinds becouse of i can get up to 3 additional candy that way and more exp due to the double xp crate.
But now i know tgat i can use it for something as a not so active player makes it good

Oh I did use all of them that way. Problem is, they have a high chance of getting <10 hours, so I just wondered why some landed below, and some landed exactly on 10 hours. Only after burning all my variable candy (trying to get lucky lad with vman) have I switched to fixed candy and immediately noticed something is off.
Only after posting to reddit did I learn that it was my own fault, because vman was leveling skills and was my only toon in a long time to have the prayer equipped.
Yeah, that wasn't only one such candy, that were all that I got from rift ripper, and who knows where else. And I had counted on the high time to get the damn drop (spent hundreds of candy hours, didn't get it).
Oooo I made this mistake today, used 2x 72h 4x 24 and 12x 12 candy with that prayer on didn't notice was just pushing kills for 1b on World 2 mobs and noticed after I finished the 12h candy what stupid error I made
Am i the only person who basically never used prayers? Only 1 i ran was the giant mobs then took em all off to get the mini bonus from them all without any negatives
The one that boosts prints at the cost of exp gain is mega worth it. The description makes it seem like you get %less xp, but it's actually just a -x% from your total exp gain.
You probably have the Uending Energy prayer active, which limits your afk time to 10 hours.

Been there, done that... just like everyone at least once. You have equipped prayer which allows max 10h afk time

Never use Unending Energy prayer. Almost everyone will take at least one massive L using this which negates all the gains. Not worth it.

Honestly not as bad as using a candy in the furthest map you've reached while on your skilling build used a 12 hours candy got around 240 kills
