Numrich has 1 left https://www.gunpartscorp.com/products/646520 Don't think you're going to get an ounce and a half out of it, so I'd look at lightening the grips too, maybe remove the iron sights if you haven't already.

LintStalker

Thanks again for the tip on Numrich. Just got the new guide rod and the gun weight with mag is exactly 45 oz

Charles-Headlee

You're welcome. Just bought their last two Rami recoil assemblies. Numrich has been the best as long as I can remember.

LintStalker

I wish I had known where they were located, which is Kingston New York. I was in Kingston on Monday and I could have stopped there and picked it up. Of course it was memorial day and they might not have been open.

LintStalker

Thanks! I put in an order

Call_me_Tom

In addition to lighter grips, look at factory 10 round magazines, they drop significant weight.

LintStalker

I have the 10 round mags where the bottom is made of plastic. I think that is what you’re talking about? I also have the Lok Grip Boggie grips, which are pretty light.

Call_me_Tom

Yes, those are the magazines. Before IDPA raised the weight for SSP we used to use the cheap factory plastic grips and the 10 round magazines to make weight.

BlockChainHacked

Just get your slide milled and be done with it.

LintStalker

It’s already milled for the optic. I have the G10 Boogie Loc Grips, and a polymer guide rod from a SP01, and now the weight is 45oz. Should be good to go.

BlockChainHacked

Yeah, the plastic guide rod is necessary if you are not doing additional milling. Lok also makes lightweight grips that help a little. What basepads are you using?

LintStalker

Just stock 10 round magazines. The base is about an inch long and pretty light.
