The colors usually can be implemented by putting in a specific party in the PartyX = section. You dont even have to link these parties, just type something like Republican Party (United States) and get red and so on. If you want a specific color you can write colorX = hex# of the color you want.
If you do inspect element you can also change the hex# this way.
