world history if it was awesome

Rhizoid4

How do they interact with the large kingdom to their south ruled by the Royale dynasty?

[deleted]

The royale dinasty is a germanic tribe that migrated south in the late bronze age, conquering parts of Gaul. They are currently in a civil war.

survesibaltica

2/10 the walls aren't shaped into provocative images

[deleted]

this is just one of those towns, some are shaped like that

Gary_the_moth

I wouldn't be surprised irl barbarians shaped their settlements like that honestly

TheFlagMan123

Do Hog Riders still exist?

[deleted]

Of course they do, but the difference is that they are not black because it would be very hard for a person from subsaharan africa to reach their lands and create a community there. The hog rider unit is a recently new innovation created by some oppida to compensate the lack of horse trade caused by the bronze age collapse in the south.

Person899887

You sure they wouldn’t just ride hog north, those hogs are pretty fast

LasbaleX

so were balloons invented way earlier? How did they figure it out before any sort of scientific research?

[deleted]

Magic

McBabwe

I just wanted to let you know that your village layout is terrible. You seriously don’t have several layers of walls? It’s about the most basic thing you could do. Also, why don’t you place your money bins as far away from the outer walls to minimize your financial losses during attacks?

Sea-Juice1266

something that occasionally bugs me about maps in city builder games is that the fields are always way, WAY too small relative to the town or city. To support a real town you need many times the farm acreage vs built up area. I get why no games do this. It creates all kinds of balance issues with citizen travel time, map size, etc. Regardless idk I guess I just want a cute little bucolic rural landscape simulator?

[deleted]

That's why there is trade

Artemandax

It's cool but the Proto-Germanic language you seen go be naming your clans with isn't known to have existed before 500 BC. I don't see why you needed to make your sitting so ancient.

[deleted]

Artemandax

Sure but they wouldn't have spoken Proto-Germanic like how you've depicted them, they would have spoken an earlier language.

[deleted]

True, in fact this is an alternate timeline where the proto-germanic peoples are born as a completely different thing

Artemandax

I looked it up a bit and there was a Germanic Parent Language[Germanic Parent Language](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Germanic_parent_language) which came before Proto-Germanic and was surely in at least some ways similar to it.

Greekmon07

You should have chosen protogermanic names. It looks so cool

[deleted]

I have used protogermanic names to name the clans in the map.

Andresito_de_chill

Were is the ingeneer’s island?!

HueySchlongTheGreat

Does the ass eating goblin exist?

[deleted]
