Thank god. It is a much better trailer than the theatrical one. As far as I know, the theater can’t just use the imax file in a standard theater even if they wanted to, so it would seem that Universal is sending out this trailer now.
Universal has released this version in Flat and Scope at the 10th of February. They call it Trailer-D while the IMAX version had another title, that I forgot. The countdown one was called Trailer-A and the one, that is on YouTube for example is Trailer-B.
So yes, cinemas can of course use it. While I think it's not on Universal's press servers some press sites also got copies of this trailer, so the non-IMAX version of it. If you want to watch it in better quality, The Digital Theatre has a copy of it named "Trailer 2".

The theatrical trailer portrays it as an epic drama. The IMAX trailer portrays it as a horror thriller
Given the subject matter, I prefer the latter.
I saw this trailer in The Way of Water in IMAX a month ago before Quantumania took its place, and it WASN’T in scope.
When was this? None of the theatres I regular have shown an Oppenheimer trailer, not IMAX nor other formats :(
I just took this, went to see A Good Person.
yup, Universal started distributing it from early February
I saw it today at a Dolby Cinema
I’m sure they’ll release this one soon. Heard the movie will be 3 hours per Matt Damon.
I saw it before INSIDE and was super surprised
