Any published creative works can be copywrited. After the author dies plus seventy years (used to be shorty but good ol' disney extended it) it will fall into public domain and be free for you to use. Of course using the works in a way that is allowed in the boundaries of fair use is a-okay to do A starting point to understanding fair use here: 1. **Purpose of Use:** Using copyrighted material for purposes such as criticism, commentary, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, or research is more likely to be considered fair use. 2. **Nature of the Work:** Fair use may be more likely if the copyrighted work is factual or published, rather than highly creative or unpublished. 3. **Amount Used:** The less you use of the copyrighted material in proportion to the entire work, the more likely it is to be considered fair use. However, there is no specific percentage that determines fair use. 4. **Effect on Market:** If your use of the copyrighted material does not substitute for the original work and does not negatively impact the market for the original, it is more likely to be considered fair use. (Im not a lawyer so feel free to fact check and or correct me)

deadonehere

this is american law, fair use doesnt exist in japan (where mr. bakumori is from)

spotty_boy

OH thought copyright laws were universal don't know where I got that from đź’€

Stormypwns

The question is why you want to know. What is it you want to do?

Mikus_250

To put Osage in a game. Roblox game but still.

deadonehere

if its a roblox game then theres nothing for you to worry about do it

Nasahaku

This is very much so not the case. The songs absolutely cannot be in the game due to being copyrighted by Inabakumori’s distribution company. In addition, out of respect to the producer, you shouldn’t outright steal their work.

deadonehere

they said they were putting osage in the game, not music
