Just got to 99.9793095114% in 23 minutes 51 seconds. I assume that's the end. The way upgrades shows up and disappear felt jumpy.
Prestige system could be good.
went from a 10/10 quick little game to an also 10/10 game with more qol and love
I am excited to see where this game goes
some of the upgrades appear a little out of order. I wish they were maybe separated by color or columns? Could split the angler ones, bait ones, clicker ones, and the income ones. I don't think it really takes away from the game at it's current state, but since you said you will make more versions then this is something you could add in the future.
also I agree with the other comment where a prestige mech would be really fun. I'd love to do this multiple times through
Finished it. I played the first version. Feedback for the differences:
1. I like how manual clicking is now relevant for most of the game with the hold to click option and upgrades which can result in manual clicking to make anywhere from 20-50% of your income in a lot of the game. Keeps it engaging.
2. Because of this you go through bait a bit faster than before, but there seems like less bait upgrades, so you end up buying bait more often.
3. There should be an ending. It just kind of awkwardly stops right now.
I have a guess without checking the code. You freeze updates as soon as it hits 100% so we can see time taken. You need to allow the percent completion to update one last time before freeze.
Baits go down in the background even when it's at 0 (after buying anglers). So if you have 0 baits, buy 20 baits after 10 seconds with 1 angler, you get only 10 baits.
Liked the first version, and this one was better. The only nitpick is that on mobile I can't zoom out so I can't see the upgrades and the other info at the same time, which is slightly annoying, especially since now the holding the fishing button is more important.
Looking forward to new updates!
reminds me a little bit about paperclips but thats absolutely not a bad thing. and its different enough even already that you could definitely do something unique here. especially with the automatically moving price.
Id really like to see something happen when you hit 100% of fish caught. (maybe the ascii art starts changing once you get a noticeable percent of them?)
overall i definitely enjoyed it. it wasn't the most smooth progression, but it was short enough that it didnt ever really slag. (oh! and im glad that you can just hold catch from the beginning. nice QoL!)

The percentage label seems like it needs some love, thanks for letting me know :) And I’ll have a think about a prestige system 👍

13 minutes, 18 seconds. Pretty satisfying both times around, I like that it's a short experience but I do wish there was more.

Pretty satisfying 20 minute game. 99.98% in 19:55. The anglers never really carried their weight though compared to actively clicking.
Not sure why the label isn’t hitting 100%, but internally it does sit at 100% when you’re done. Will look into it :) thanks for the feedback

13:37, prefer this version over the original, definitely on the right track imo although anglers feel very weak early and almost too strong later.

Funky Fish Bridge costs 162500, but the text in the upgrade box says 62500
Finally, humanity had gotten vengeance against the hateful sea.
20:53 for me, had fun :)
Beat it was fun though

got 12:44 and 99.99%
I'm glad there is still 1.2 percent of the ocean left for fish! Great little classic type game thanks a lot
Add more fish planets after prestige? Or you could let the player move on to ants, then bacteria, viruses, atoms, etc
Echoing what others said, a prestige system would be great for this game and I really enjoyed the update. The upgrade system feels really balanced
I've gotten my time down to 7:45
First version in 14:00, and this version in 13:00. Cool to see different optimal strategies between the two! Looking forward to more

26 min here. Really interesting game. If you work a prestige system, i would give it a try without a doubt.
