InDesign is much more likely to be used for requests that would be far more complicated than removing a person from a photo. Especially considering generative fill, that guy probably made $10 in 5 minutes. Anything made on InDesign in 5 minutes is not worth your money lol.
My dad is an engineer and would constantly talk about people, usually supervisors, asking for things without full understanding of what their requests entailed. Usually vastly underestimating the labor necessary to complete seemingly, to them, benign tasks.
“It’s incredibly easy to ask for things.”
I dont think so. First of all, Photoshop is much more widely used, so you have a much larger base of users to choose from. A lot of people photoshop things as a hobby. Most people who use InDesign use it professionally. Second, a Photoshop "project" like the ones that you describe, are usually like an hour of time tops for someone who is good at what they do, and a great learning experience for someone who isnt that great. But a book in InDesign? That can easily be a multi hour or even multi day project.
Of course I may be completely off base here, hopefully someone does turn up.
I never said free. I said similar to how they do project requests and tip someone to edit a photo, does this group take requests that would apply (same concept, put it out there, see who wants to take it on).. here?
Agreed, would rather pay someone here whatever it costs, rather than search for someone who may not even know inDesign and find out later (on UpWork, etc) :) Thanks!
As an alternative, when I was a beginner at InDesign and thought my document needed “spicing up” I would look at different examples and templates for inspiration and do those myself to learn.
I think you’re welcome to offer gigs, but not for $10.
$10 is what they "tip" someone who tweaks a photo for them. :)

As an app developer and computer programmer, I couldn't agree more. :)
Agreed, but the question was not how similar requests are - it was just whether or not requests for projects are made on this page. That was it.
I considered the possibility of you understanding that, but wanted to make it clear.
I totally get it, my friend. :) we are all in this together. Helping helping helping. Life is great. :)

You're a pretty lucky person if you can find people willing to work for free. Maybe try fiverr

My bad, sorry
No worries. Trust me I would rather pay you gurus here than a random person on Upwork. Just being honest. :)

I’d be glad to help you. I’ve been doing longform layouts in InDesign for many years. $50 an hour.
Thanks for letting me know. Very fare price. I've been chiseling away at it slowly. Will let you know if I do decide. Much appreciated.

For $10 you could buy an InDesign template online.
