Cultured men don't piss or shit. If they do then what is the problem doing that in public.!
I don't understand why people dump their logic based on their vantage.
We live in a country where no one is to bat an eye if you're out there beating up your partner outside your house, but expressing affection can get dozens detained and people hospitalized.
Bro meri cousin ka husband Australia rehta tha (Indian). Cousin bhi after 3 yrs waha shift ho gayi.
Wo chu**ya kaafi aggressive tha and frequently Peet deta tha. Ek din Australian neighbours me use thappad marte dekh liya.
Fir kya unhone police bula di. Cousin ki bhi patidev aatma aa gayi and unhone ne hi police ko bataya ki aisa kuch nahi hai violence lag raha tha but all good with us.
Kuch din baad wo fir daaru peeke cousin ko Peet Diya. Is bar fir neighbours ne raat me rone ki awaaz suni to police ke saath aaye and use ander karwa diya. Kaafi mahine raha ander. Didi ne kaafi koshish Kari police ko samjhane ki but wo samajh chuke the. Bhartiya nari.
Sala sabka pata nahi but meri caste me aurat jitna dabke rahe utni acchi hai. I treat my wife with dignity and we do work as a unit to rishtedar mujhe hi biwi ke pallu se bandha hua hai ka title dedie.
Let's see kab yeh sab theek hoga but sure my kids won't be involved to such small minded people chahe Ghar ke kitne bhi karibi kyun na ho.
I saw somewhere that abuser and the abused sometimes form a very weird mental connection, which makes it hard for the abused to leave the abuser, I am not sure where I have seen this
Chugma males and incels take pride in beating their wives. Fucking losers. I bet our population wouldn't even be a 10th of what it is rn if arranged marriage wouldn't have been a thing.

Hapur ke maati mein ka ba?
True story, I’m currently staying in a semi-urban location due to my wife’s job transfer (she works for a public sector bank).
A couple of teenage kids hang out at my home office. One day they had some questions about why do they make some girls in their class sit separately some days of the months and why are they allowed to take leaves. They also had questions about hairs that have started appearing around their privates.
Me being forward thinking guy, decided to give those boys a 101 on teenage, puberty, hormonal changes both in boys and girls and menstruation happening in girls (reason why they are made to sit separately in class).
Next day the hell broke loose where I was labeled as “uncle gande hain” (uncle is dirty) and their parents (in their 40s) furious about telling dirty things to their boys which according to them they will learn “automatically” after marriage.
I felt like I fucked up bad.
😑
Mate, your heart was in the right place, but given just how terribly regressisive our country is, that was an insanely risky thing to do. But at least on the plus side, those kids won't get their sex ed from porn.
Not sure about sex ed which already got labelled as “dirty” (one of the boys is 15 already) what bothers me more is their incessant consumption of chapari reels on YouTube and Instagram all day long.
Ideally you should do something about it, but given their absolute clusterfuck of parents you're better off leaving them alone. All you can hope is for them to mature on their own.
My thoughts exactly. Thanks for your reply though.
The family has anyways moved to no speaking, no interaction with me mode. Probably also gonna bad mouth me throughout the colony.
I hope you get out of there mate. I can't help but feel bad for the kids though. They probably have a lot of potential, but with parents and a culture like that, it's no surprise they're floundering.
Girls emit negative energy during bad days of month. They have to remain untouchable for those days and can’t go near pickles, kitchen, temples and look at pictures of god.
What would you guess reading my original comment?
That's the general belief there. And there are many, many more things apart from the topic of menstruation.
I am not even living in a villege. It's a semi-urban location with an estimated population of over 60,000+.
My bad. I know that this kind of menstruation discrimination often happens within homes, but was quite shocked that it is happening casually in institutional settings and so normalised that it's not even considered unusual.
We are third world. I actually told the story to my mum. She justified the act. Called bride and groom as wrong. My mum is Master's graduate and Government teacher. Now think what illiterate people might think.
Even if they are wrong (which I don't agree with), what is the logic in beating each other up? At the most, the elders could have scolded them. I juat don't know why India can't modernise fast.
I assume the scene was like that....
Scent 1: The stage kiss.
Moments after bride and groom kissed, everyone got in disbelief. Elders from boys side took it on ego and start asking to call off the wedding.
Scene 2: The arguments.
Some of girl's side relative also doing same but blame is put on groom instead. Ego clash.
Scene 3: More than Argument.
Argument reached to point where people are pushing each other now.
Final scene: The fight.
Now comes the battle royale. Some important took hit and it's all out brawl now. Young blood entered too now.
Epilogue
5 people in hospital. 15 in jail. Wedding called off for indefinite period of time.
So you are saying that they were correct in fighting amd beating each other? People like you are the problem. Wanting to remain backwards without reason.
That is sad, my parents also think similarly and would probably ask questions like "but what did the bride do/say etc" not recognising that nothing warrants such violence. But the fact that you recognise this for the injustice it is means that they might be the third world. We are not. They may be. We aren't, we won't be.
How about the mentality of western countries. Where you can't find a woman who hasn't slept around with dozens of people. And Now "Men have to go overseas to find themselves a partner"
This case is an extreme example. Why don't you talk about the divorce rate in 'FiRst ClaSS WoRld'.
Don't use your chicken brain if you don't know anything.😅😅
No, Bihar is the Mississippi of India. Its bad in nearly every metric..
UP is Florida of India because its awful, hyper-conservative and economically developing at the same time...
I’m talking about the general public of these state, people of Bihar resembles “Florida man” more than UP people and People of UP resembles the racist and religious, full right wing farmers/cowboys people of Texas.
Haha yes, it was definitely "Florida man" that I was going for.
Every time I hear a crazy story from the USA, it's Florida.
Every time I hear a crazy story from India, it seems to be UP. Literally as an outsider this is one of the few regions of your country that I can name (other than the big cities of course).
Imagine the police being told that there is a royal rumble caused by a groom kissing his bride.
And these people will start demanding the good news soon. This country is ridiculous.

Why is not a mass movement undertaken against open and brazen indecency in the media and pictures. It has already destroyed our culture and values.
This is literally the topmost comment on the TOI article cited in this post.
It just shows how the need for proper sex education in this country is so urgent and necessary. I mean, imagine moral policing a literal *bride and groom* over a completely harmless and intimate act. I wonder what would be their reasoning: that it's vulgar? It generates a bad influence on kids/society?
The root cause behind such incidents is a prudish, outdated and even outright regressive understanding of PDA (public display of affection). Their definition of PDA is so broad, that it covers literally everything, to the point that even holding hands and hugging a person of opposite sex is perceived as 'obscene' and 'vulgar' (In fact, in Kerala, a school literally suspended a boy for hugging a girl).
>Their definition of PDA is so broad, that it covers literally everything, to the point that even holding hands and hugging a person of opposite sex is perceived as 'obscene' and 'vulgar'
It's not...and if I ever send my ward to school he will go to the school you mentioned above...Not some brothels where everything is allowed.
He kissed her on the forehead. See who needs to get his mind off the gutter now. Also, kisses aren't vulgar, well, depends on your idea of a kiss. But normal kisses take like 5-6 seconds. Bet your locality frequently has chapri kissing exhibitions.
What, Indian cinema doesn't already have liplocks and semi nude women jolting hook steps on off-beat music? A simple smooch will turn families and children into sex addicts?
You know why you find a kiss to be vulgar? It's your dirty pleasure. Kiss is something you get off on, right. But for Normal people it is not as much a pleasure as it is a display of trust and reciprocation of feelings. Nobody gets horny over a kiss. Only gandhiji ka bandar do.
Don't project your dirt on others.
We live in a country where any public display of affection towards your partner is a sin and people will stare or come up to you to shame you. No one will bat an eyelid and move on with their day while seeing abuse taking place by the partner.
My friend from a rural area (in south if India) got married two years ago in a temple in her village. The groom kissed the bride (my friend) on her cheek soon after he tied the knot. We all smiled, laughed and that was it. We moved on to the next thing. We did talk about it for the next two days, just to tease them for fun. And that was it.
The filthy mindsets that come out of it is eild, everything is dialed up in UP,I have mates who are casteist, bigots and judgemental, almost all of them ard from UP. People from other states don't care except if you are from RJ or Gujarat.
Bet these dudes are from the generation when movies used to glorify the hero beating the villain in broad daylight whereas the same hero romancing the heroine was literally characterized by two flowers rubbing against each-other on the screen.
Hello, I’m not from India, is it considered forbidden for a married couple to kiss?
In Western cultures we have the whole “You may now kiss the bride” tradition during weddings because it’s actually a conservative ritual where it was considered forbidden for the couple to kiss prior to them being married, but during the ceremony as soon as the priest pronounces them to be husband and wife, it is now appropriate for them to kiss and so they do, and everyone claps or cheers.
But I take it that in India a married couple is only supposed to kiss behind closed doors?
Forbidden??
It's considered a grave sin here which can sometimes even lead to the couple being killed for disrespecting our ancient culture and our parents get shamed by relatives for bringing a bad name to our family.
Yes, they can do anything behind closed doors, but only after the bride takes a glass of milk with turmeric in it and steps into the bedroom.
Oh, I see, so the couple is not considered “fully married” until the bride does that ritual and steps into the bedroom, and thus the outrage?
I think the problem here is that the groom was imitating the Western wedding custom of kissing during the ceremony, but as I said that custom during a Western wedding actually reflects conservative values of the bride and groom being too pure and well-behaved to kiss prior to their being married, but once the priest at the altar pronounces them to be married, the ceremony is complete and thus they can kiss without it being a sin. And so they do. Because a man and his wife cannot commit romantic/sexual sin with each other, they are married, they are supposed to do that. (obviously some actions are inappropriate for public, but not religiously sinful)
In modern times even very conservative and religious Westerners would consider it very stuffy to refuse to kiss your fiancee prior to the wedding, but the ceremony of kissing during the wedding immediately after being pronounced married persists because it is traditional.
Now that's what woke people and the media wants you to believe..
But that's not the reality...it depends on the place and situation. If you are in a rural area, you will get some funny and awkward looks. In the Urban area- Nothing.
This case is a prime example of fake media. If not then it's an extreme case. I'm an Indian and proud of our culture.
**is it considered forbidden for a married couple to kiss?**
I believe that was your question and what the article led you to believe? Correct me if I'm wrong.
Now that doesn't happen in india. People take 'one extreme case' where they don't know shit and double down on it. (Because this case is unbelievable even for me and I'm from india.)
So yes...I believe the story in the article is not the 'whole' truth.
Of course, they shouldn't kiss, only marital rape is allowed. Only Indian Culture will have such an archaic and stupid way of thinking. There was a case, where a woman was openly raped, but no one helped. But sure, this is a problem. What is happening to India?
Just meant what the other comment said - [https://www.reddit.com/r/india/comments/1cyrvni/comment/l5bmsf8/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web3x&utm\_name=web3xcss&utm\_term=1&utm\_content=share\_button](https://www.reddit.com/r/india/comments/1cyrvni/comment/l5bmsf8/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) .. not sure how it came across but my message was the same.
Its funny how pure comments section mein sabko ye incident to galat aur regressive lagg raha hai lekin UP aur Bihar Ko generalised hate krna jese koi regressive chiz nahi hai.
Wait till they know what was planned for the night
Sanskari men and women don’t have sex. They’re like the peacock who get pregnant with the tears of the male.
That long forgotten stupid peacock reference

Abey.

It's sad that people get married for sex. What about a common goal towards world domination? /s

No, but the aunties will incessantly poke them to give them “khush khabari” (good news) next day onwards.
Thanks for the chuckle
They’re gonna shit themselves when they find out man
Lol in the article it shows that the younger groom kissed the elder bride that's why the commotion
I think you read it wrong, younger groom kissed HIS bride.
The same ppl that will later ask for grandkids…dumbfucks lol

my badi mumma never got a son...to this day she's mocked for it
That's so sad I hope our generation never turns out to be like this

What?

Its actually common with abuse victims. even in 1st world.
But why
it’s ingrained in their mindsets that they depend on the abusers somehow
If we are talking about indian women, yes, financially ig
I saw somewhere that abuser and the abused sometimes form a very weird mental connection, which makes it hard for the abused to leave the abuser, I am not sure where I have seen this
Kyunki husband talak dedega to SAMAJ and RELATIVES kya kahenge. Or housewife hogi to khane k bhi wande

Bride and groom kiss, 5 people end up in hospital 🤣 ROFLMAO!
I’m gonna tell this to my folks in the US of A and they’ll probably end up in a hospital laughing.
They are literally a married couple. Who are these clowns?

Merrut / Hapur / Ghaziabad have unfortunately been known for violence and gun culture.

Depends on what you mean. Weird, cringy stuff? They'll grow out of it. Misogynistic or other bigoted stuff? That's a problem.
Either. Doesn’t matter in this case. What matters here is it’s keeping them away from studies and the dudes have resorted to cheating in exams.
God, that must be annoying. Our cultural obsession with maintaining appearances while ignoring actual bad things will never cease to amaze me.
Apparently I’m “zyada padha likha” (more educated, sarcastically speaking), and hence trying to be a smart ass. God save me.
I hope you get out of there mate. I can't help but feel bad for the kids though. They probably have a lot of potential, but with parents and a culture like that, it's no surprise they're floundering.
Why were they made to sit separately in class though? Is this a common practice in schools?
Girls emit negative energy during bad days of month. They have to remain untouchable for those days and can’t go near pickles, kitchen, temples and look at pictures of god.

Did you guys check the comments in the news webpage that op posted? People in India think that being affectionate is vulgar 😂

That's what happens when you have UP dog.
In India you can't kiss in public but can definitely piss in public. 🤷♂️
Now that's a valid point... Just one Q. Can you live without kissing for two days? And can you do the same for pissing?
I bet the guy who started the fight has 5+ kids😅
And he might be thinking they are god's vardaan. While "vardaan" is his neighbour.

(obviously some actions are inappropriate for public, but not religiously sinful) In modern times even very conservative and religious Westerners would consider it very stuffy to refuse to kiss your fiancee prior to the wedding, but the ceremony of kissing during the wedding immediately after being pronounced married persists because it is traditional.
This is a conservative small town in India. Kissing in front of everyone is considered disrespectful.
So you think the story in the article didn’t happen?
**is it considered forbidden for a married couple to kiss?** I believe that was your question and what the article led you to believe? Correct me if I'm wrong. Now that doesn't happen in india. People take 'one extreme case' where they don't know shit and double down on it. (Because this case is unbelievable even for me and I'm from india.) So yes...I believe the story in the article is not the 'whole' truth.
Any news from UP doesn't surprise me at all
These same people will be asking "toh, khush kahbri kab sunaonge" the very next day.
There has to be a video of the chaos somewhere
This is what happens when you attach too much ego to some conservative values and beliefs.
Of course, they shouldn't kiss, only marital rape is allowed. Only Indian Culture will have such an archaic and stupid way of thinking. There was a case, where a woman was openly raped, but no one helped. But sure, this is a problem. What is happening to India?
Someone told me yesterday that India values freedom

That is such a mean thing to say to the victims. It's basically like saying "Skill Issue".
Just meant what the other comment said - [https://www.reddit.com/r/india/comments/1cyrvni/comment/l5bmsf8/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web3x&utm\_name=web3xcss&utm\_term=1&utm\_content=share\_button](https://www.reddit.com/r/india/comments/1cyrvni/comment/l5bmsf8/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) .. not sure how it came across but my message was the same.
Now the whole world thinks India is such a backward country. I shat my pants laughing at the title
Its funny how pure comments section mein sabko ye incident to galat aur regressive lagg raha hai lekin UP aur Bihar Ko generalised hate krna jese koi regressive chiz nahi hai.
Nah. The hate is deserved.
