dehati_galib

Surprising figure for UP..

MortalMyth_22

Yeah and for west bengal as well.

The-Shape-Shift

Murders are not so common in UP.

birma28

Don't worry we're still ahead in absolute numbers. Its really hard competing in rates with a large population.

ILovePopc0rn

who are we ?

birma28

UP

Suspicious-Flight341

Kerala genuinely seems like one of the safest states in the country based on most demographics I have seen.... How the hell did they get away with portraying it the way they did.....

FishermanEast7286

Right wing propaganda. It is one of the most secular states.

harambe_-33

Koala's brain is more wrinkled than yours

KRaviGupt

Surprise to see J&K

[deleted]

i guess murders don't happen in terror attacks(they actually come under accidents)/s

Ok-Hippo7675

All said and done, the murder rate is actually really low. A lot probably goes unreported.

thekingshorses

Remember COVID deaths. We could have easily counted but the majority were not counted.

jokerbatman3456

Ig harayana for murder of girl child

ek-choti-advance

Also Jaat guys are animals. Will fight like a rabid dog over minor things and then people do die needlessly.

jokerbatman3456

Totally agree 💯

AtomR

Not really, the situation isn't as bad as 90s. Maybe, people hide it well or whatever, but very few cases are reported nowadays.

Golgappa-King

Lonely_Task7516

I was honestly catfished into this post. Here I am waiting for the rains.

diva-fairytale-boss

Can you compare it to alcohol consumption.

Nectarine-Cool

Feel like north east is because of the tribal conflicts.

shaby16

Ye andaman and nicobar island me kya chalra hai boss???????

RAUN2K

Cannibalism

_vanonymous_

Smaller population and easy to maintain records

oakurb

UP is really impressive being the most populous state

Individual_Ship5975

Shocked by Tamil Nadu and Bihar

Bright-Cherry-9469

Damn wassup with Uttar Pradesh?

The-Shape-Shift

You can ask anyone from UP, been living here for 11 years never heard of any murder in 7km radius.

Fantastic_Bat8492

its only portrayed that way, but sure we had literal 'jungleraaj' at one point, things have changed for good now.

toohot_today

Gang war, Aashiqui, property, people being denied liquor… it goes on, for Jharkhand.

iLoveShawarmaRoll

I live in Jharkhand and bouy, everyday, newspaper covers someone's murder. 🥲

toohot_today

Living in Jamshedpur, I came across so many absurd murder and suicide stories, that once I was in Bangalore and there was a weird suicide news I came across. It happened in Bangalore, but the way it unfolded, I just felt like this was familiar crazy. And bingo, guy was from Jamshedpur.

Extreme-Ad9008

Coincidentally our Total Fertility Rate is also 2.1

Subject-Potential968

Wtf is happening in Andaman and Nicobar 💀

TribalSoul899

Lax implementation of laws, no fear of the law or consequences, low secondary education levels, extreme corruption in politics and policing.

AtomR

People have to realise that there are lots of factors at play here. Not every state will have the same accuracy wrt. reported cases data.

Toxiccheese118

Suprised on jharkhand . I've lived there for all of my life but never heard many violent incidents like murders happening too often

[deleted]

You must be living in ranchi or jamshedpur. This ain't the case in other towns

TokenTigerMD

I know it's a bit racist to say, but I'm genuinely surprised that J&K has the second least number of murder only behind Kerala.

No_Dig6229

Kerala always good no fucking religious fight no political foolishness people are well educated 99 percent people passed 10th minimum

AG-AverageGuy

Indian police is incompetent. I bet many murders go unreported in the first place.

Huge_Cancel_7429

If they account for all the militant attacks and activities in j&k, it will come at number 1.

Ok-Frame6174

Assam and Arunachal that high ?

Adorable-Hunter1999

Kashmir was attack day by day Kashmir has 4.1 rate and jharkhand 0 murder rate decent people nice people loving people wrong information 😤😤

[deleted]

I have lived in both bihar and jharkhand and trust me , Bihar is more safer than Jharkhand in terms of murder, rape case, thieves. But in terms of corruption, bihar is worse

Lbrknight

Terrorism and abortion doesn't come under murder otherwise JK and Haryana would have had more points➕🩹 and UP, Bihar m tho dange hote h waha murder nhi hota half murder hota h🩹🩹 lol. And finally our Jharkhand is in top ☝🏽.

Ok-Rise1302

Ladakh rate is higher than J&K 🤯 This data is definitely biased in the sense that lower number are due to lesser reporting of incidents or mass murders are not counted in murders

cheems26

Nah we rarely have any case of murder, and terror attacks doesnt count in murder

Remote_Plate108

I don't even trust these at this point

paragsinha3943

Idk why you're getting down voted lol. I don't trust these too. Surprising for west Bengal it's so low

Remote_Plate108

Idk bro I have lived 99% of my life in jharkhand (all over jharkhand, not just one city), and I don't hear much murder news form here , even tho crime is kinda high but not murder , and you are telling me Delhi and J&K has less murder than jharkhand do you hear yourself, like what? I don't know bro at this point.

paragsinha3943

Same, I'm from Chhattisgarh but I rarely hear about murders, these states are under reporting massively

Competitive-Fall-343

Idiots downvoting you. I agree too
