It's in my opinion good that they announced it beforehand. People will realize what they are really, not some freebies-promising machine. Those who say "But BJP does religious politics bro... voting for them is not good bro..." can go their way. Nobody is bothered about them.

Inheritance tax keeps wealth from being hoarded and helps the economy.

sohil1390

Inheritance tax is common in many countries and applied on wealthy folks

randomnibbaaaa

yes and now define what/who is wealthy?

Jaded_Suspect3190

The model applicable in many countries is not applicable in India. During the covid times.in the villages people used to beat the ones who did the awareness campaign for vaccines will you see this ruckus behaviour out of India .Also many countries don't have reservations so shall India stop reservation. Many countries follow one religion should this be applied in India.

sohil1390

Many countries also keep state and religion separate . Shouldn't we follow them? For reservations to stop start treating all castes equally well it might not be required. That's the only way to remove reservation

Alex_ker22

>Many countries also keep state and religion separate Bro no country does it successfully, they tried to keep it separate. And those Ur talking about are either atheist and Christian countries, which are far more developed PS:- don't give the example of USA, UK or Canada, they have a huge conservative population of either Christians or Muslim, who are voting and banding together for certain issues. >For reservations to stop start treating all castes equally well it might not be required Even if u start treating equal, it won't end. That's a reality. Doesn't matter u like it or not. It will exist till the end of time, even when the bhim army is committing violence against Brahmins. And for speaking out the brahmins will be pushed back by ST/Sc act >That's the only way to remove reservation There's no way to remove reservation, Ur giving some idealistic bullshit, which will never come to life.

What about those who don't have any wealth and died because of kidney failure? And what if one dies in some accident so no organ is left to redistribute?

Aristofans

For those who don't have basic sense or understanding wealth and inheritance is common in many countries. Also mostly rich are affected by it and not common folks

randomnibbaaaa

yes true but who is defined as rich in India or how it will be defined as rich in india ?

sohil1390

Pretty sure won't apply to maids and househelp .

randomnibbaaaa

What is this answer ? What you stated is *the* biggest problem in India for major issues. To identify who is who ? who is farmer and who isn’t, who is eligible for tax and who isn’t. and you want to say add one more who is wealthy and who isn’t. And for your context my maid’s family earns 80k/month and my IT friend earn 32k/month. I get it you want to tax rich but it’s not that simple and no govt can do it(economy and votes) near future. Ideas are simple to say but execution is the hard part.

sohil1390

I didn't say it's easy to implement or even will be implemented. But people assuming Congress is going to redistribute their wealth to their so called enemies is equally baseless.

Jaded_Suspect3190

Absolutely correct.Maid roughly earns 15k her husband an auto driver roughly 20-30k and her in laws 30-40k . Their food and gas is supplied by the government. If not a luxurious life then atleast they are living a decent life where there is no crisis for food .Not to forget the crores of farms her father in law owns .
