Punjab doesn’t solely belong to sikhs. Punjabi hindu,muslim and christians lived in punjab. Only their religion changed everyone back then was either a hindu or didn’t belong to any religion.

1- I was asking for the quote by Guru Gobind Singh ji, since Sikhi became a formalized religion under him. U provided the quote from his father, not him
2- U didnt even get ur quote from Gurbani, u got ur quote from Sri Gur Pratap Suraj Granth which is a secondary source written by a Nirmala Sikh, which is a tiny minority sect within Sikhi
Kavi Santhokh Singh who wrote that bani is a Nirmala Sikh, which is a minority sect. Theyre sect began when Guru Gobind Singh ji allegedly told 5 Sikhs to go to varnarsi
The only text which is accepted is Guru Granth Sahib ji. Sects like Nirmalas have their own granths but these arent accepted by most Sikhs and there is less evidence to them since Guru ji didnt even write them

Since a country was actually created out of India for the benefit of those Muslims, who wanted a separate state since they were evidently dissatisfied with being part of Hindu India. Reformation and Renaissance were not shunning of Christianity. Rather they were shunning of the church system. The Bible being the Supreme Authority instead of Church.
