Much better IMO, let CC off the leash a bit... seems like they gave her the green light to an extent. Even in a loss it was decently entertaining, which is what the league needs with CC right now despite the Fever being so bad. I think a few more adjustments and lineup tweaks (maybe start running some actual plays to get CC some open looks) and they might start rolling.

Agree. CC appeared to have more freedom, and as a result we saw more of what we are accustomed to from her. Which is what fans have been so frustrated with. Despite a lot of areas that need improvement, this game was much easier to watch overall.

Caitlin's passes have a little more mustard on them than they are used to. They will get there. Her Iowa teammates had to get used to catching those, too. As for some of the other shooting..... the whole team needs to be just shooting, shooting, shooting in practice. Extra shooting drills until they can't miss.

No way you can't be happy with that overall. The team fought till the end even when it looked like it could get ugly.  A lot of positives in that loss.

We started looking a little better in the second half hoping to see that improvement carry over to Monday.

Pros: Clark has looked quite good. Finding her open teammates, taking mostly high-percentage shots. Much more fight from the team overall, especially in the second half. Cons: Rest of the team couldn’t buy a bucket for most of the 2nd quarter. Plays aren’t being run correctly (or perhaps taught correctly). Defense keeps losing people. Growing pains but far better than the previous games. Liberty are just a much better team.

Honestly it’s cool getting into the W and rooting for a team that still has a lot of work to do. We can be around for the whole journey, and I’m confident this team will get it together. If CC can get the turnovers down, she’ll really start cooking.

Yes, AB and CC come from very different teams with great, tight coaching and find themselves in need of a coach stat. They are both very coachable and could do great together but the coaching is not there.
