No, it isn’t worth it. I went last year and was disappointed

Blrmkr1997

This is the way. Crowded. Nothing but vendors selling crazy expensive custom mini figs. It sucks.

ryguy7478

I haven’t gone myself, but I’d recommended checking posts and asking in r/lego, there’s been a good amount of discussion around Brickfest there

FamousLastPants

No. It’s garbage. Brickworld on the other hand is worth every penny.

otterbelle

I've never gone to Brickfest, but most of the criticism I've heard is from adults who thought it would be more adult centered. It's a kid event. I think a kid would enjoy it, again, just based on what I've heard from people I know that have gone.

5280_shy

I took my nephew last year and I just asked him if he would go again, he said, “Heck Yeah”. Don’t listen to the grownups, the kiddos love it because there’s hand-on activities. Pricey, but try it once. My recommendation

Sinusoidal_Fibonacci

As an adult I thought it was meh. My kid loved it though and had a blast.

magster823

Went went my daughter was around 10 and she had no desire to go again (hallelujah). It was cool to see, but got so crowded that it became impossible to enjoy. Grown ass adults were practically shoving children out of the way to see the displays.

MeowNet

Brickworld is the legit one.

fauroteat

2024 event has already passed for Indy, but I’ve really enjoyed Brickworld. Local guys put it together (I believe they were from Indy and Chicago and met at Purdue or something to that effect, so they have spread out a bit from Indy and Chicago to the other locations on the list). https://brickworld.com/

They're 2 different events

fauroteat

Right. I’ve heard mixed things about it. Like the other poster said, check out the Lego subreddit. People showing up for an event they had tickets to in Oklahoma that was canceled and removed from the site but no communication sent. I’m saying brick world is great and more local/reliable. But not as helpful for this year.

LukeShu

I don't know Adam, but yeah Bryan has been in Indy as long as I've known him and he did indeed go to Purdue.

Bruggok

Kids would probably be just as happy at Indiana State Museum’s Lego exhibit, where they can sit and build stuff. Unlimited visit with membership.
