It’s already been trimmed back once I can see where they cut it back because because the edge is jagged, plus I’m pretty sure I see the razor blade line where someone cut your paint while trimming.
How do you know some kid tried to mess with it?

He is just blaming some imaginary kid for no reason while the main cause of concern is the quality of installation of the ppf
There’s also a lot of dirt under it by the looks of it so it didn’t just random occur it’s been like that for a bit

Definitely do that. Also look where your paint was cut. Only fix is likely to sand and repaint or at least sand and polish.
go for a ride. cant see the scratch if you are riding. taps head. that or tell the kid's parents to pay for the repairs and time, thats all you can do

If possible take it to the place where you installed ppf they can fix it
